Friendly staff and a good selection of beer, wines and liquors. I know nothing about wine so this is my go to spot when I need a few bottles to bring to someone’s house. They always have recommendations on something to go with what my host is preparing. On my way home tonight I picked up some Cisco whale’s tale to enjoy while watching the Bruins game.

I wish their chilled beer selection was a little better, but they stock a good selection of wine and the store is well organized and clean. Staff is fantastic and are always happy to help and offer suggestions, and their delivery is the best. I was going to put four stars, but I'm giving five just because of the customer service.

Great and very knowledgeable staff. Wide selection of everything in a comfortable space. I've spent some time in there getting help from Brian when it comes to choosing fine scotches, he is fantastic. Highly recommend magnolia, it's the only place I'll go for wine, spirits, and beer. Well, other than a bar that happens to be right down the street, but that's for different objectives.

Awesome selection and a great set of staff. The weekend wine and beer tastings are a must. This place can cater to both the wine aficionados and those of us that want a great bottle with a low price. The atmosphere is local and it's a great place to ask for recommendations or questions. Don't miss the seasonal tasting events.

Jay was super helpful with an out-of-town, over-the-phone order for a fundraiser that the store had already made a generous donation to. I really appreciated his help and patience. I'll definitely have to stop in to make a purchase the next time I'm in town

Small shop with great selection. It's less than 5 minutes from Mt Auburn street, near Cambridge - Watertown line. I like coming here to choose modestly priced wine with help from knowledgeable staff. I've also enjoyed going to a couple of their tastings.

A superb selection of wines packed neatly in a small space. The price range for most of the wines is modest--proof that a good bottle need not cost a fortune--though there are a number of high-end bottles as well. It is a full liquor store: plenty of beer and spirits, too. But the wines are the draw and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is unquestionably the best wine shop that I have found in the area.

A great shop with wine bargains and high end vintages; carefully selected craft beer and hard cider; nice cheese, cured meat, and crackers; snacks, mixers, and party food; and an array of bourbon, single malt, rum, gin, and more. All run by a suave, urbane, and friendly owner, and a knowledgeable staff. You won't find better than Magnolia.

Jay and his merry men are your ultimate guide to all things alcoholic. Between the beer/wine tastings, great events, you really feel like you know a secret that nobody else in this town knows every time you walk in there.

I worked with Jay at Magnolia to supply the alcohol at my wedding. He was wonderful to work with from start to finish, giving me advice on what to supply at the bar, ensuring that the tables had cider for toasting, personally delivering the alcohol to the venue, taking back the alcohol we didn't end up using, etc, etc, etc. I would recommend Magnolia a thousand times to anyone in the Watertown/Boston area who needs to supply the bar for their wedding!
