I love how personable everyone is! Having visited with several of my birds, i haven't a doubt that my animals are as loved by the personnel as they are by me! I wish i could provide more details! What I appreciated most about Angell is their 24 hour service with exotic vets on staff. When any of my animals has an emergency, i know where to go. They don't minimize my concerns and understand decisions are not easy. It doesn't matter what the animal is, they matter.

I cannot say enough good things about Angell West. I wrote a scathing review for Boston, and Waltham is ENTIRELY the opposite. I received treatment for our lop-eared rabbit over many months for a pernicious infection and the doctors were unbelievable. They provided excellent care and were compassionate through the whole process. It makes a huge difference to have exotics specialists - Dr Staudenmaier and Dr Rehn were both extremely experienced and knowledgeable. Ultimately we had to make the decision to euthanize our beloved bun, and the team could not have provided more dignity.

Highly highly recommend Angell West - we could not have asked for more.

I came in with an emergency situation with my dogs hip. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I was incredibly impressed by the vet we met with. She was knowledgeable, clearly explained her assessment and my options, and was wonderful with my dog. I wish she was our all-the-time vet! And my dog is doing great!

Kindness from establishing phone call to check out. I can't say enough about the compassionate care given my parrot on her visit. Angell was able to fit us in, last minute, having never seen my old parrot before, when she became ill and her own doctors had no availability to see her. All that and extremely inexpensive compared to my own vet. But more importantly, the knowledge and experience of the veterinarians and staff are incomparable. What I appreciated most about Angell is their availability in times of emergencies

I booked an appointment for my 1 yr old ball python Frida as we thought she had a RI (or possibly) and was a little late as I was commuting from salem MA and they were completely understanding I had my bf call while I was on the way in the Lyft but when I had gotten there a little too late I had to wait about 40 minutes but that’ was ok I don’t mind that at all ! While I was waiting a wonderful vet tech came out took Fridas information and did an intake while we waited. We then met with I believe DR Sullivan the exotics and Avain vet there he was very knowledgeable about ball pythons and told me the one thing I needed to make an adjustment to ! They actually cared about my feelings and what I had to say and my reptilian family member ! I will for sure be back ! Even for just regular care !

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Staudenmaier and Sarah, the Avian & Exotic Technician. They are both so kind and they both truly care about the animals. They are not pushy and I felt very happy leaving Angell. I will be coming to Angell West from now on. Thank you guys!

Dr Ackley saved my Dog ! High quality care. Angel west continues to provide care for my dog on a regular basis. If your pet needs to see internal medicine this is the place!

Everyone was welcoming and caring. Doctor answered questions honestly without sugar coating it, which was much needed to make informed decisions. What I appreciated most about Angell is their ability to speak to/attend to any potential issue that may arise.

I brought my rooster Peep here on 8/7/23 for an emergency visit. From the get-go the staff was polite, friendly and quick to take in Peep and assess him. I was given first assessment and a quote outlining what the plan was. I was able to visit Peep every day while he was there along with receiving phone calls with daily updates. Today, 8/11/23, I was able to bring my baby back home and be with him again thanks to Angell West.

There's definitely some mixed reviews here. This was just my personal experience and I cant thank Dr Staudenmaier and the members of Angell West enough, they literally saved Peeps life. God forbid anything bad happens to him again, I would bring him back here for treatment.

We brought our dog here for emergency care. Everyone was very kind and helpful. It was late at night but our dog was seen quickly. Unfortunately, we weren't given great news, but the doctor was very patient and informative when explaining the situation and possible outcomes.

They very quickly stabilized our dog and had us on our way to a different hospital where our dog would be able to undergo emergency surgery. They informed the hospital of everything they needed to know ahead of time so they were able to operate quickly once we arrived.

This is the second trip within a month our dog Lily has had an emergency (two unrelated trips). I'm 21 and Lily has been with me since I was about 5--she means everything to me. MSCPA-Angell West helped nurse her back to health both times. The vets I've talked with and who've taken care of Lily have been very smart and considerate (thank you Dr. Lohin and Dr. Peck). The girls at the front desk are kind and helpful. I'm incredibly grateful to the entire team at MSPCA-Angell West, including everyone behind the curtains that I didn't meet. Thank you!

Our Shih Tzu became very sick and we took him to the ER at Angell West. The folks there were amazing, caring, smart and knew exactly what to do. We were comforted about our decision to take him him that night as opposed to leaving him. That morning he was not doing very well and we went back to the ER. Once back at the hospital we discussed his treatment and he stayed there for 48 hours (ish). They were excellent in answering all of our questions and they cared for him during that time. He was put on a strict diet, given medications, and have since followed up with us twice on how he's doing ,post stay at the hospital. I must say that not even my personal Dr. does that much follow-up!
The end result is that we had a great experience here. They found the issue with our sick pup, they put him on a reasonable treatment plan, and he's doing very well. Thank you to Angell and their amazing staff!

Canine training: excellent experience! Elizabeth is an amazing instructor and treated my furry kiddo with love and respect. She helped to improve Ladybug’s leash reactivity. Highly recommend!

I called last night regarding an emergency and spoke with Cassie, she was very kind and compassionate. She helped explain some options to me and assured me they would try to help us. Unfortunately our pet passed while we were on our way there. After a not so great experience at another ER, it was really nice and comforting to have someone to talk to that was patient with me and understood the tough situation we were in.

Dr Lockwood was amazing ! The compassionate care my pup received from her, was above and beyond, we need more vets like her ! 10 stars if i could.

After reviewing reviews for my cockateil I decided to try angell west. I am so happy I did!! They were so amazing!! Unfortunately my feathered baby has cancer, but they were very compassionate and comforting. I recommend them to everyone

Brought my cat here for a urinary obstruction. It was significantly cheaper (about $1,500 less) than VEG Shrewsbury, and they sent me home with a bunch of prescription food for him, as well as pain medication which definitely helped him during healing and to not have it happen to him for a third time.. If I had known and brought my cat here for his first blockage, he probably would not have even reblocked, considering they called it the same occurrence with the blocks being only 2 weeks apart. They also explained everything so thoroughly and overall seemed more knowledgeable.

I am so happy with my first appointment at MSPCA-Angell West. My dog was seen by Dr. Meagan Painter and she took her time talking to me. I did not feel rushed. I felt like she completely understood what I was talking about in regards to my dog's allergies and symptoms. When she would give me information or advice, she was very confident and referenced medical data and studies. I left feeling very confident in my treatment plan for my dog. I ended up emailing the office a few days later with a question and Dr. Painter replied back to me very quickly and I was happy again with the service. It's the little things that make a big difference and this office nailed them all for me. Thank you and I am looking forward to working with this office. I am trying to get my friends to bring their pets; pet allergies seem more common than not.

Was bringing my cat here for specialty services for 4 months and had great experiences. The doctor was always kind, informative and compassionate. When he went downhill we used their emergency room 3 times and although my cat passed away they did everything they could for him. They were always honest with me about which treatments were most cost effective for our family and I never felt pressured or ripped off. Would 100% go back for future pet emergencies if I had to!
