One of the places within US where you can get Indian food that really tastes like Indian food. Loved the fast service and friendly welcome. The people are really nice that they even have us a mango lassi as compliment.

Yes the place doesn't have done in. But the take outs have enough quantity for the price and tastes awesome. Would strongly recommend this place for people from India visiting town. Others can also try and make the taste of food from here as a baseline for Indian food.

I figured that since the folks here know me by name, it was time I wrote a review. This is my go to spot for Indian takeaway. Everything I have had here is delicious, a nice balance of flavors and spice. My go to is chicken saag (very tender chicken) and vegetable samosa, but really everything I have had here is tasty. Bonus: You get a free mango lassi with your order of $30, which is easy for me to attain because I like to order a few things and eat them as leftovers. Two curries and samosa feed me for at least 4 meals. Very friendly service and the food is ready very promptly.

One of the best Indian food in the Boston Cambridge area ! No matter how busy they are, they always greet you with a warm smile and excellent food ,prices are great, and the service is always friendly,I didn't have any idea what I wanted when I walked in and the man behind the counter asked if I would like any suggestions. He is explained very well, i talked to Arjun he is very nice guy always friendly and serving up amazing food.Highly recommend it. Amazing service and food quality.

I go to this place weekly, and Raj is always friendly and serving up amazing food. You really can’t go wrong on the menu, it’s all very good. Portions are good and well priced. The picture is Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Naan, and a Mango lassi

Always enjoyed the food - generally a bit more fragrant and fresh tasting than typical - best Indian in the area IMO. Though I haven't loved their biryani. The "daily special" is a good deal, 1.5 to 2 meals for me, and I have a hearty appetite.

Surya Indian is the most authentic Indian Food joint. If someone is looking for Indian food that tastes like food in India, and all healthy ingredients (smell of fresh spices), and a generous portion - then I would highly recommend this restaurant. I bought Mutton Hyderabadi Biryani and Karahi Goat with Mango Lassi! I have tried other places in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston University areas but no one has that quality with affordable prices. The Karahi Goat is delicious - freshly made and tender pieces of goat. I had Goat Curry which was great as well, particularly if someone likes mild sauce. I also had naan, garlic naan - all are excellent! As a Kolkata/India native you won’t be disappointed.

Best Indian food in Greater Boston area. So glad I found Suriya, as I work in area. Grab pickup here minimum 3 times a week! Love vegetable samosas and pakoras. Nice kick to them! Have tried a different chicken entree each time I go and love them all! Prices very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Easily the best Indian food I've had since moving to Boston, and it's not particularly close. You can definitely tell they take pride in their food; the spices are fascinatingly complex, the meat melts in your mouth, and the portions are so generous that you will be happy to have enough leftovers just to experience the dish all over again.

Only for pickup but great food and great prices! And the workers there are great. Definitely will order again

Great Indian take out. Solid options and they all taste great. I especially like the chaats. I've tried other Indian places around Cambridge but I keep coming back to Surya.

I've tried samosas of this place, and rasmalai and gulab jamun. The taste is amazing. Closest to Indian authentic in Boston. Highly recommend it. Amazing service and food quality.

This is our go-to spot for Indian food. All the dishes are delicious - some of our favorites are the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani (so tender), baingan bharta, and raita. Great service and prices as well.

The estimated wait time for orders has always been accurate for me. Have tried a couple of dishes and have enjoyed everything. The spice levels indicated are pretty accurate and all the spice levels taste great in our experience. The mango lassi we get with our orders is a nice treat to help settle the stomach with spicier dishes. The breads we've tried, the naans and the chapati, are both awesome additions to our orders.

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for 4+ years now. The food is tasty, the portions are good, and the owners are kind. I’m no expert re: Indian food, but I have tried other places in the area and this remains my favorite.

This place is amazing, felt like being back in the kitchen on the Indian side of the family. Tasted like it too. These guys clearly love what they do, they were happy and singing… great service. Ordered saag paneer, lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, daal, roti and rice, and mango lassi, came back the next day for chicken and lamb biryanis, veggie samosas and garlic naan. The lassi tastes like they make it here, no pre-made concentrate on this one. It’s great! The lamb was so tender and juicy. Spices were excellent. Saag was sooo creamy and deliciously spiced. Daal was a little greasy for daal, but very tasty and rich. The packaging was thoughtful, all in quality microwaveable containers. Which is important because portions are large so you will have leftovers! Price might look a little high but is a good value for the quality and quantity. This place is the real deal. Desi daba and Indian pavilion were just sad. This place blows them out of the water!

One of the best Indian food places in the area. I get take out food from here all the time. I have tried almost everything on the menu it and never had any complaints.
