I've always had a good time here. The bartenders are great and the place has a solid vibe. It's probably more of a college hang out than anything, and the beer a pretty solid. It has a cool theme and a bar you can get to no matter where you are in the bar. Check it out for a pint, not sure if there is food or not. We don't get into Cambridge too often, but after a show with Hasty Pudding, this is our final stop, every year.

Come for the comfie bar and extensive beer selection, stay for the Central/South America meal specials. Colombian Tipico Montanero and Venezuelan Pabellon Criollo below. 👌

Good place to have a chill night hanging with friends. Decent beer selection, and they have darts! The interior (and exterior) is well decorated to the theme of the bar. If you're feeling it, go for pickleback shots (bourbon chased with pickle juice. Some say it tastes amazing.

Relaxed neighborhood type bar. Mostly locals. Lots of the Cambridge intellectuals and “interesting” types. I’ve never had food here, do no idea about that. Decent drinks at reasonable prices. Nice off-the-Grid place IMO .

It's a small place with an okay-sized bar, some tables around and a few dart boards. The atmosphere was nice and the bartender was friendly. It's not as big as I was expecting, but it's a comfortable and fun themed bar. Good selection of drinks.

A comfortable bar; a good place to get a drink with friends or alone. Not exactly a sports bar but has a TV showing a game anyway. The lighting is dim but that just adds to it. If you're not into communist leaders watching you drink, though, this is not the bar for you.

Always good staff here at this bar with a quirky and fun environment. Good craft beer selection and the food has always been great. I recommend the wings here(they're actually spicy so don't expect mild)

I love this bar. Cash only. Bar tenders are content to let you do your own thing; sometimes bordering on rude. The space is optimized for a crowd. It's at it's best when it's buzzing but not stuffed. Standard drinks; graduate school crowd.

Great place to grab a beer after work. Very laid back place and doesn’t have the fake millennial hipster feel to it at all. Bartenders are pros and respectful to everyone that comes in to grab a beer.

I always liked this bar. It usually has a good crowd and is a nice place to chat and have a few beers. Darts are a bonus activity and they have a nice selection of beer.

By far my favorite bar in Cambridge. The theme is fun and reflects well some of the aspects of the City. I mean, where-else in the US do you think you could find such a venue? Come here for darts and a good beer, or for the famous "Green Bastard" which comes with a couple of ounces of regret per glass... Whether you stop here after work or after dinner for night out, you will definitely have fun! Their food is very tasty - keep an eye for those tasty empanadas among the special menu.

Great place to hang on the weekend for drinks and some darts. The drinks are not very expensive and they have a decent selection. It's usually a place on the list for Cambridge bar crawls.

Really solid bar and a fun place to go in the area. Definitely has a lot of character and all of the staff is really nice. Food is also fantastic!

Thought it would be gimmicky but actually it was a ton of fun. Reasonable prices, pretty funny atmosphere, and dart boards. Get there early if you want a table though, it was packed to the brim all night.

If this is communism than I'm Mao Zedong. Dive-ish bar with darts, good beers, and a real sense of self. If you're on a bar crawl or looking for something strong before the sun sets stop by the republik see if their version of bread rations makes a party member out of you. McCarthyism be damned! I love this spot.

Comfortable neighborhood bar, great beer selection (draft and bottles), dartboard (no waiting), inoffensive music selection at a reasonable volume (so you can actually talk). Everyone can hold their liquor.

Cool ambiance. Quiet enough for conversation. Good selection of local beers on tap. Great bartender. And they have darts!

My favorite spot in and around boston. Surprisingly great food, the atmosphere is perfect, and the staff are super friendly. Wish I still lived in the area and could come more often. Def worth checking out of you've never been.
