New Jang Su Korean BBQ Restaurant

The BBQ was good. I wish they offered some sauce to go with beef that wasn't seasoned at all. Authentic korean food for sure. My suggestion would be you definitely should hire someone to clean the floors, bathrooms and walls that has food splatters all over the walls. Also, This is the first experience about BBQ i have where I pretty much wasn't allowed to cook myself. The tongs were constantly being taken away from me without explanation. I wasn't allowed to flip the meat Lol. We weren't offered drinks either. Later I realized they have a method of cooking which I wish I knew earlier so I wouldn't be so embarrassed 😅 in front of my boyfriend whom I bragged so much about Korean food and it was his first time having it. I asked him how his Korean food experience was, he said it is 6/10.

Food was incredibly good. My group got a few BBQ selections as well as the tteokbokki. My husband got the kalbittang and I got the dubu jjigae. Both soups were incredible. Very well seasoned and very large portions. The owner was a bit stern and impatient and seemed to be hovering when we were finishing up, but the older lady who waited on us was AMAZING. She was so sweet and kind, and was taking care of at least a dozen tables on her own. We were stuffed when we left and our cravings satisfied. This place is no frills- come for the food and leave happy!

Very good Korean BBQ. We stopped in for lunch and had the Short Rib and Bolgogi. Both very good but the Short Rib by far our favorite. Friendly waitress kept swinging by the table to cook our meat.

Went for bbq. Got the pork ribs and spicy pork belly. I was a little nervous because I can’t handle much heat. It wasn’t bad at all. Overall it’s a nice if you’re focused on food. The atmosphere is a little run down but I honestly think it gives it some character.
I’m giving 5 stars because because there aren’t many other options and i grade easier on mom and pop type places. Will return.

The best Korean BBQ in MA hands down. Been to many in the Boston area and nothing tops this place. It's worth the trip everytime as it never disappoints. You know it's good when you order a lot and there is nothing leftover. Highly recommend if you never tried. Was in the area and it was a no brainer where we were going to get dinner. You can thank me later if you ever went to try it because of this review.

Service was great food outstanding we really enjoyed ourselves this may become our new New Year's Eve tradition! The interior is a little dated and a little dingy but the food makes up for it and the service. And oh yeah the Korean pancakes were outstanding I would return just for those!

It was delicious and a great experience. We enjoyed the food and the service. The waitresses were very kind and attentive. The food was delightful and well cooked. I especially loved all the kimchi and pickled options which helped cleanse our palette and offer a vinegary break in between spicy meats. We will be back!

Mom and pop Korean restaurant hide out in the suburb of Boston, Woburn. If not for friends live nearby, I would have continue to miss this gem.

Unnoticeable from the outside, as one walks in, one can immediately feel the authenticity of the restaurant from the smell, simple decor and family staff.

Very busy on a Saturday night, recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Ordered four meat dishes, two soups, one bibimbop and a cold noodle soup for five people to share. Short rib and bulgugi were marinate down to the bone, very tender just after just 30 seconds on the grill. The grill has a layer of charcoal to add some flavor to the meat, a unique feature from this restaurant.

The Sul long tang soup was also a highlight from the restaurant. The soup itself was bland so they will give you salt and green onion to add in, refreshing taste from the soup and the beef in the soup literally melts in one’s mouth. A must order.

Other dishes were also better than other K-restaurants in town.

Mom and pop service was very warm despite being very busy.

Definitely a must visit!!!

I lived in Korea and I was craving authentic Korean food. I tried a AYCE place in Medford that did not even serve banchan with the meal and the ssamjang had way too much garlic in it. This restaurant in Burlington was truly a hidden gem for me. Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Give it a try!

Korean BBQ is excellent, but pricy like any other non-AYCE joint. The real stars here are some of their more authentic options, their So Lu Tang is a satisfyingly tasty beef soup with salt provided on the side to season to your taste. Their's a stew with short ribs that's also just amazing. Love the japchae here as well, great sesame flavor. Also- really enjoy the barley hot tea, I'm sick of the same old red teas at every other asian restaurant.

Amazing Korean BBQ place in the local area. The customer service was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The table was very clean and the meats and sides were given very quickly. Cooking the food was very easy and enjoyable. The meat was great and tasted amazing, and all the extras were just as good. I would highly recommend coming here with friends and family for Korean bbq at your local restaurant.

We were at this restaurant last night. My children are half Korean and are very aware how to cook Korean food. We found this place to be the best place in the area. The food was great, including the side dishes my son cooks, one of the dishes that they serve, and he admitted that the restaurants Version was better. The service was great and attentive. Perusing some of your reviews I feel like some have not been fair.
One review seem to not even care about the food as much as the table setting. If your child cannot behave him or her self they need to have an appropriate plate or bowl. I am guessing that this is your first child. They need to learn consequences and not make it uncomfortable for the owners. I have four children and know all about this. Sometimes they’re feelings need to be hurt so that they can see how they should act.

It’s the perfect place for authentic Korean bbq. The team/owners are so nice , helpful and caring. The food is amazing.
You’re offered the Korean hot tea (roasted corn). Koreans love it Bos it’s pretty much a stable in every household. But don’t be afraid to ask for iced water or soda if that is not your thing.

Good small Korean BBQ restaurant owned by Korean. Food is delicious.
Ventilation is good so the inside is not too smokey.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The staff are so nice and treat you like a friend. My favorite dish is the cold bibimbap, and for BBQ the bulgogi and short rib are my go-tos. Even after not coming for a couple years, they remembered how much I love fish cakes. I look forward to trying new things on the menu!

Place was packed but the food was delicious. I like how authentic it is. Will go back one day.

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have a better rating because I had a great experience! Came as a party of seven on a Saturday night before it got busy and was seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu.

We ended up ordering a regular Pajun and Seafood Pajun, Chap Chae, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Belly, Squid, and two servings of Short Rib. As per usual, we started off with side dishes to share, including lettuce and sauce to go with the meat. The meat came out one by one, with our servers helping us cook and cut it. It was definitely more than enough food for all of us.

Overall there's nothing bad to say about my experience. For those taking off stars because of the restaurant's appearance, please get your priorities straight. If you want a truly authentic Korean meal, don't get mad when it's not "aesthetic" enough for your Instagram feed :)

Very authentic Korea food that is actually spicy. However, it is not as spicy as the ones I had in Korea. The stews they have there I recommend and are very tasty with it coming out steaming hot in a stone pot. The portions were larger then I expected coming from Asia.
