Sonder 907 Main

I wasn't sure what to expect, given the price. I knew we were trading price for services. But, in the end it was exactly what we needed and the location was great. There were tons of restaurants within walking distance and we never had trouble finding street parking overnight (granted it was Thanksgiving week). We were in an accessible room. We didn't need it, but I think it was larger so they gave it to us as an upgrade I'm guessing. There was actually a refrigerator in our room (which I didn't expect) and a microwave and water station on the hall. There was a small cabinet in the hall that had extra cups, tea, coffee, soap, tissues, etc. to take as needed. There was someone at the front desk and the main door was open until later in the evening. My only comment (not a complaint) was that our bathroom had a barn door that only stayed closed if locked with a hook and eye. The hook and eye was pretty high up and would not be accessible to someone in a wheelchair. Just something to think about.

Wow!!! My stay was truly wonderful at Sonder 907 Main. Good front-desk service: Pleasantly hands-off, which is ideal for those who don’t love to talk. You could even do touchless check-in and go directly up to your room if you have the app. The room was super clean, the decor was gorgeous and modern, and the location is top-notch. It’s not just close to MIT and Harvard, but also to every sort of shop and store you might need, including a French coffee shop right downstairs! I also really enjoyed the toiletry/cutlery station on the floor, which allows you to pick up anything you run out of without needing housekeeping. Despite being so close to colleges and so many young people, it was relatively quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

I only have a few pieces of feedback: The restaurant downstairs was always closed. Also, not sure if it was just my room, but the bed frame was the exact same color as the rug. I have bruises on my legs from bumping into the bed frame so often.

The bed was also nicely padded, but one of the mattress covers is made of a weird plasticky material that causes you to sweat in only one part of your body. I was clammy and cold most nights, yet sweating only on my back. It was very uncomfortable. I can appreciate hygiene as much as anyone, but I think with a hotel bed, we’re all willing to take some risks. There comes a point where I’d risk laying on an old, sanitized stain if only to be comfortable.

Room was great and quiet. Huge balcony. Very nice finishes and fixtures. Liked having a kitchenette. Staff very friendly and helpful. No trouble using digital key or code.

Very cool rooms with a post-warehouse flavour. But all is updated nicely. Room is on the small side, but for us it was perfect. Any glitches in room functioning were dealt with quickly and successfully. Great location in Central Cambridge. Lots of restaurants and bars at a wide range of price points and many different cuisines. No compliants at all.

The perfect experience in cute Cambridge neighborhood of Boston. Walkable to many different spot, and the hotel room was so incredibly pretty. Staff incredibly friendly!

The hotel itself is a short walk to the red line T stop and some other bus stops that made getting in and out of Boston relatively easy.

The staff were always friendly, and we had a refrigerator and pack'n'play in the room, which helped a lot with traveling with our 1yo. The room was a bit small but adequate for the price paid.

Overall, I would stay here again.

Great location (best vegan restaurant I have ever been to just a few steps away and I'm not even vegan!)- Room was very clean and a nice size. Super easy - and even though you dont need a front desk- there is one at this location and they were super nice and helpful. Parking garage down the block- very safe. And the BEST Ice Cream place EVERRRR next door!

For self-reliant and app/tech-savvy travelers, this was great. It's kind of no-frills luxury if that makes sense: lobby is nice, front desk folks friendly and informative, rooms are super comfy, wifi is easy and fast, shower is relaxing and luxuriant - but you order (and pay for) room cleanings via the app, the room keys consist of a code (or your phone, if it has NFC), there's no included breakfast or other meals, the attached restaurant/bar is closed at the moment, and basic amenities like TP/cups are in a self-serve cabinet on each floor. The TV has basic local/cable channels, and you can stream shows with whatever accounts through your phone using the Chromecast connection. For me the à la carte approach was a great way to spend a focused weeklong work trip, with a cozy place to myself at night for relaxing or working. Given the slight discount for a 7-night stay, Sonder was the best value for that level of quality among the available spots in a pretty expensive part of town. Also, they were very kind about my oversleeping the checkout time...

The property is nicely designed and well located with lots of places to eat and go out at night nearby. There is a very nice rooftop which guests can enjoy. This also means that outside people can freely enter the building to go up there so it is not as safe a Sonder as usual since the main door stays open. The room we had was large with 2 queen beds and a big bathroom. Only issue was the flooring which is very sensitive to anybody walking around in the room... you can really feel people walking i and that seemed odd? In terms of service you can get your room cleaned with 24 notice and that was great. There are people manning the front desk during the day so technically they could hold packages but apparently the policy is not to do that... would be very useful if a guest could get their amazon packages, especially if you stay several days... All in all it is a good option and pretty good value for money.

Great hotel that is a 20 min. walk from Boston! I love how close it was to Boston because so many hotels downtown were extremely expensive but this was affordable, clean, and have great amenities. Would definitely stay here again! There are so many incredible cocktail bars and restaurants walking distance from the hotel too which is awesome!

This was such a great hotel it gave the vibe of a modern dorm or condo, clean, cute and accessible to everything in Cambridge. It was the first stay but not the last a much better upgrade compared to the Marriott. I could walk to my favorite eats, my office and Target. I have to for warn that there is not always a desk person especially if you are checking in late, as it is arranged similarly to an Air bnb with door codes etc. Its cozy in a rustic building with exposed brick which gave my room a little extra charm.

I stayed here for 4 nights when I was in Boston for work and loved the room and bed so much I didn’t want to leave! I usually enjoy exploring whichever city I’m in whenever I have free time but I found myself spending most of my free time nestled in the huge bed surrounded by pillows.

The instantly hot shower was another plus. Most other hotels, even big chains, have tepid showers that blast you with 1 minute of cold water first so I appreciated this a lot. Nothing like a steaming hot shower to end the day right!

Absolutely loved staying at this Sonder! This was my first time to the Cambridge/Boston area, and this was the perfect place to stay. It's a quick and easy walk to the subway, really close (I mean same building) to lots of great restaurants, and a quiet safe neighborhood. The room is clean and thoughtfully designed. Service is amazing—everyone in the lobby was kind and very helpful. The luggage storage was a great bonus. Hope to return again very soon, and will be recommending to all my friends!

Overall a great experience. Room is very clean and the check in process is simple. The location is convenient as it's only a couple blocks away from the subway station. Many restaurants and shops around.

The location was perfect for us. Walking distance to my daughter’s dorm at MIT and near Flour Bakery, plus other great restaurants.
We left our luggage at the front desk before check in and did not return until after 8pm. By the time we returned, there was no one at the front desk. It’s not like a regular hotel where there is someone at the front until late hours. I called Sonder from the lobby about checking in and found out that they had taken our luggage to our room before they left.

The room was clean and cozy. Great for a 3 night stay. A little small if we were staying more than 3 nights but we just had a standard room since we were not in it that often. Would stay here again and at other Sonder locations (that have a gym).

The room was tiny, but the king-sized bed was worth it! A beautiful building, a comfortable room, and the perfect location, what more could you want?

Really smart room with all the amenities I needed. Skip the upstairs bar, bad service/cost. In between a lot of sightseeing with very close excellent food choices and perfect for public transportation. Would go straight here next time. Avoid 4th floor as the bar above it stomps and drags chairs, presumably in frustration of not getting a drink.

This is an awesome hotel, cool layout with a modern design. Closed all the bars and restaurants and nightclubs, but just far enough away where it's quiet as well. I've stayed in most of the hotels in the area, and this one is by far the best!
