Great food, customer service and atmosphere.
Went this weekend for the first time. Definitely coming back.
Good prices also.

My husband & I went to the lighthouse for the first time more than five years ago. It has that classic cafe feel that doesn’t go out of style & it also is kept very clean (even the rest rooms). We live out of town but we continue to go back. We always have breakfast & it is a good classic breakfast at a very fair price. But it really is the people who are there that bring you back. Leo, the owner & cook eventually will know any regular customer’s name & he is always happy to see his returning customers. Gina remembers what you drink & has it at your table before you have even looked at the menu. She always has something to say to the kids or show to them. My granddaughters always get a special Micky Mouse pancake often delivered by Leo himself so he can say hi to the kids. There are (understandably) regulars there. If you enter with your hands full or pushing a stroller you never have to worry, someone always jumps up & lends a hand. It is the Cafe version of Cheers. There is a sense of community there. They know you & are happy to see you. If you haven’t been there definitely give it a try. A little local gem where kindness isn’t out of style.

Excellent customer service and delicious food! From the moment we walked in, we were given great customer service. The woman who greeted and seated us was friendly, the woman who served us was knowledgeable and gave us a tour of the menu and the chef actually came out of the kitchen to check in and see how the food and our experience was.

The Salmon Benedict was well done and came with 3 eggs which was a pleasant surprise. The homemade hash brown was unique and tasty. We also ordered the cherry banana french toast special which was a great blend of sweet fruit that complimented the thick french toast -- no syrup was needed with that dish.

A simple place with excellent breakfast, nice people, and really good prices. We got a veggie omelet and banana strawberry pancakes and they were both much better then I've had elsewhere, and like 12$ each.

Lovely place for breakfast, and especially great to bring kids. Warm and welcoming people, with lots of solid breakfast options. Festively decorated for the holidays when we came in!

I come here around every other week and will always do so. Service is fantastic and the owner Leo is always so kind. The food is delicious, I always get the Reuben, my bf gets the omelette because they are 5 eggs— ginormous. Coffee is always hot, and the menu is giant. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast options mixed with history on a well traveled junction going back before & including Paul Revere's ride ... comfy as Lanthorn probably was back then?

My favorite breakfast restaurant food is always good and served fresh and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! Definitely a staple breakfast spot in Medford! Love their homemade hash!

I love that they use 3 eggs in their egg dishes (omelettes, eggs Benedict, etc) and my kid always gets the chocolate chip pancakes.

Went there for breakfast, really good quality with a very fair price for what you’re getting, plus friendly staff too and a general good atmosphere and interior. Overall great experience. Will be going again in the near future. I highly recommend 🤝

This was one of the most amazing breakfasts I've had in a long time. The cook who I assume is the owner came out to check in us and the waitress was very attentive im a huge coffee person and theirs is delicious. I highly recommend and I will be back

This place is a great place to come to for breakfast. Food is cooked well and is very nostalgic to me personally. Would recommend any time

A hidden Gem. My wife and I had been looking for a "go to" breakfast place and we've found it. Friendly attentive waitresses, extremly clean and quick service. The regular eggs Benedict are delicious and the salmon benidict is even better. The best part of the experience is the price. If you haven't visited, your loosing out.

Amazingly good food. We went here on our last day in Boston. We found the restaurant in a list of must visit restaurants in the Medford area. We decided to go and check it out for breakfast. Upon arrival the employees seemed very cheerful and directed us to a nice table. I had the pancakes and I have to say they were the best pancakes EVER!!! The hash browns and bacon come in good sized portions also. I would recomend this to anyone that likes amazing and affordable food for the whole family.

What a great place! I had the benny hash and my fiancé had the blt. Both delicious! The staff was very warm and kind. I really liked my experience here. Definitely recommend.

Super friendly, reasonably priced and cozy. This is the best spot for breakfast in Medford, hands down. I can't speak to their lunch or dinner options, but I can't recommend their breakfast enough.

Just great. Fresh, fluffy 🥞 without the lard. Eggs, sausage, and toast cooked just right. All topped off with genuinely nice people.

Medford square is awful, but this place is a diamond in the rough. Maybe its nostalgia but I always like to come here with my dad on a weekend morning when I'm back in the area.
