Integrative Dermatology: Valori Treloar MD

Dr. Treloar really saved me when I was struggling with an awful Shingles infection. The PCP I first met with regrettably downplayed the potential seriousness of my condition and by the time I saw her four days later I was in very, very bad shape. She got me on the right medications, was very clear in her directions/healing protocol, and absolutely understood how badly (and unnecessarily) I had been struggling and suffering.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Treloar and her staff. I had been battling perioral dermatitis for two years. I had seen two other dermatologists and an allergist who were unable to help. A client of mine had a similar issue and referred me to Dr. Treloar. She was immediately able to diagnose me and gave me the proper treatment that had my skin cleared up in two weeks. She's a healer.

Dr. Treloar takes time to fully examine every square inch during your full body check. She takes time to explain what if any concerns there may be. She takes time to work with you to clear up any issues or, if necessary, to refer you to a hospital if necessary. Glad I returned to Dr. Treloar after a BWH doctor found "nothing", but something kept raising NH concerns. Even though she's a distance away, she's worth the travel time.

My three year old had suffered with severe eczema all over her body since 4 months. Dr. Treloar and her team were incredibly thorough, patient and helpful. She was the first doctor to give me hope! It was refreshing to hear about root causes instead of a new load of prescription drugs. I loved her vast array of knowledge. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Valori is very professional, she listens to the patient properly and provides the best solution.
The nurse practitioner is polite and understanding.
I have been taking treatment for acne and marks for last 12 years but the doctor here understood me better than anyone else and her prescription worked wonders.

Takes the time to investigate root cause and educate.

As someone who has patiently awaited the opportunity to address my adult acne concerns with a dermatologist, my recent experience with Valori D. Treloar left me utterly dismayed. I've deliberated over leaving this review since my last appointment a couple months ago, but I feel compelled to caution others about the quality of care provided by this self-proclaimed holistic dermatologist. Not only did her demeanor veer towards rudeness, but her apparent lack of expertise was concerning.

Despite my adherence to a plant-based diet, it was evident that Valori D. Treloar disapproved. Instead of addressing my skincare needs, she fixated on disparaging my dietary choices and prescribing a laundry list of 11 vitamins without any substantiated medical basis. Not once did she conduct the necessary blood work to support her recommendations. Throughout the appointment, she expounded on her views regarding the consumption of animal products, as if proselytizing her dietary beliefs was more pertinent than addressing my skincare concerns.

I maintained composure and courtesy throughout the appointment, refraining from expressing my frustration as adults should. However, her insistence on promoting dietary preferences over professional dermatological advice was both unprofessional and disconcerting.

Furthermore, her recommendation of tretinoin without considering my concerns about its safety during pregnancy showcased a blatant disregard for patient well-being.

If you seek a dermatologist who embodies kindness, compassion, and expertise, I implore you to seek care elsewhere.

After reading a review from catharyn tivy, I feel the exact same was as her. Dr Treloar is a terrible Dr. She's dismissive, thinks she know it all and was totally wrong with my diagnose. I had a Angiomas on my nose. She declined to remove it said it would cause a scar. I went to a different Dr who said no big deal, let's take it off. It's been a year now and I'm happy to say, Angioma is gone and NO scar. I'm so glad I don't have to see Dr Treloar ever. I have a much better dermatologist now! Stay away from her, she's not nice.

I had really looked forward to seeing Dr. Treloar about my chronic symptoms, especially since she practices Integrative Dermatology, however she made a quick judgment and was very closed-minded about considering any extra details. I'm so disappointed. She was condescending and all of my questions were dismissed as irrelevant. "I guarantee those are actually scars." "That's simply not possible." That's not bloating...it's fat." "Sounds like you need to see a dentist instead." No recommendations other than to wait for skin to slowly heal itself. Worst doctor appointment ever. Her staff were excellent at least.
