Excellent value Haitian cuisine place that specializes in Jerk style meats.
Recently visited to try their jerk pork and fried goat, and both plates had copious amount of meat and the sides that was almost equivalent to two meals. For the sides, we got the rice, beans, and okra, and the soft texture of the okra served as a good mediator between the huge chunks of meat and the rice. The jerk sauce was a bit spicy, but it was still a great flavor addition to the meat.
There were only a handful of small seats available in the restaurant, but there are plenty of seats in the nearby park where you can relax and enjoy this amazing Haitian food.

The food is delicious, and the service is friendly and prompt. I recommend the jerk chicken. It's well season and delicious.

Literally the best deal for food in Boston. If you can handle a bit of spice, the jerk chicken is amazingly good. Red beans and rice are great too

Wow, this was delicious! We had jerk chicken, black rice with djondjon, and creole macaroni au gratin (delicious rich mac and cheese), and everything was wonderful! (My companion also had the okra and said it was great!) The jerk sauce was available on the side or dumped over everything, and we asked to have it dumped over everything, which made the rice (as well as the chicken) wonderfully spicy. Everything was so wonderfully flavorful!

Two minor caveats: Their indoor seating is a narrow counter along the wall, so this is not someplace to come for a romantic dinner out (choose takeout or delivery for that), and they make at least some of their dishes fresh for the day and when they're out, they're out — I’d wanted to try the chicken or beef patty, but they had sold out of both. But the food is delicious and my mouth and soul are both still happy several hours later. I can’t wait to go back!

That oxtail was delicious and could easily feed two people. But beware -- this is very much a takeout joint. I mean, you could eat in on an uncomfortable stool and with strange beeping that doesn't seem to ever stop, up to you.

Take out place with generous portions! The side sauce was so tasty and not too hot but you can get it on the side.

Best take out in Somerville. Full of flavor, large portions, and good service. Highly recommended the oxtail.

First trying Haitian food and i do not regret this. Chicken was tender and rice was perfect (take it from an asian guy) idk what other reviewers were eating but this was really nice.

Most of the f my reviews are not good, even though I don’t like to write bad reviews. But when we receive a unprofessional service we are more inclined to share our disappointment. However, today I am not expressing my dissatisfaction with service or product. Today I am very pleased to inform to whoever it may concern that Pikliz has great food and great service. I am very happy with the great taste of my white rice and grilled chicken and okra sup. I loved it. I just forgot to ask for fried plantains to go with the chicken okra and rice. Nest time I am back there I will make sure I get them. 😋

Absolute real Jerk Chicken. I’m from london and there’s quite a lot of Jamaican food. This is the real stuff. Got the jerk chicken, rice and beans and plantains. FIREEE. Defo coming back. 🔥🔥🔥

Really great island cuisine. Jerk chicken was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice are seriously amazing. Such a humble side dish just packed with flavor. Portion sizes are extremely generous! I can't recommend this place enough :)

I can't get enough Caribbean / Creole food and Pikliz is top notch especially if you're looking for Hattian! This is the best Caribbean food I've had outside of Miami. The jerk sauce smothered over pork with a side of rice, beans, and mac n cheese is one of my favorite meals in Somerville. Can't recommend this place enough!

Absolutely amazing food, with great portions and for the right price. I drive to the city just for a plate, highly recommend.

First time trying was via Door Dash and it was PHENOMENAL!! The jerk chicken, rice and beans, and plantains were to die for. Best of its kind in the area. Great value for price, I can only imagine how it tastes when it’s hot. Amazing.

Ordered from UberEats, delicious still hot and fresh. I ordered the pork and it was juicy with a lot of flavor and the black rice was amazing. Huge portion sizes and I loved everything. I definitely will be getting food from here more often!

This may be my first time writing a review. I thinking to drive to my regular Haitian restaurant for food which was about 15mins from the location I was I that time. So I decided to google if there might be another Caribbean food closer. This place was only 8mins, drove up there, read a few reviews and hoped for the best. I told the guy who served me I’ll be back if it’s good. All he said was you’ll definitely be back! Yep It’s my new favorite Caribbean restaurant, I’ll be going there often. Lol I had the Jerk chicken with rice and beans and I’ll just say the Jerk chicken tasted really good, even better than what I had when I went to Jamaica. I also tried the Haitian pie for the first time and that was really good too. Looking forward to trying the cuochicken soon.

Jerk chicken and Black rice with Mac and cheese is my favorite plate, I’m only wish they go little lighter with the spicy, some days is just too much

Absolutely delicious Caribbean food. The marinade in the meat is spectacular, bursting with flavor. The dirty rice is covered with a chicken gravy of your choice and tastes amazing. The heat has a good kick, if you so choose. The veggies are also packed with flavor. Everything is simple but made perfectly. The portions are generous. Would eat again, and again, and again.
