Sol Aztecas Mexican Restaurant

We had a great night with terrific food: soup, veggies, enchiladas, and tacos. All were great. Spice levels vary so ask ahead if you are sensitive.

My husband & I came here for the first time & LOVED it! Food & drinks were amazing, service was so good & quick, and we loved the outdoor seating! We will for sure be visiting again!

Maria was amazing! I treated my mom to dinner for her birthday and Sol Aztecas showed us a great time. The margaritas were delicious and presented beautifully, food was amazing, and they gave my mom a tequila shot & birthday song on the house!

This is my first time at Sol Aztecas. I have driven many times by it and never stopped. Today, I was feeling like eating Mexican, and Sol Aztecas didn’t disappoint! They are under new ownership. I had the pleasure of talking to the new owner; a young guy named Amet, that used to be a server at the restaurant. He bought a failing restaurant during the pandemic and has transformed it into a thriving restaurant!
If I had a check list with me of my experience it would have a check mark next to each item.
-Fresh chips and delicious fresh salsa
-Cheese dip with shrimp to die for
-Arroz imperial with chicken: a delicious Cuban dish
-Strong skinny Margarita with orchid in top
-Quesadilla de steak with fresh salad on the side
Staff is friendly and smiley and always attentive to your table.
They have a beautiful patio that transports you to the beach!
Run to Sol Aztecas! You won’t regret it!

Had an amazing quick lunch with the beautiful Noelia as my server. She was so attentive and kind, really adding to the overall relaxing lunch experience I had today. Sol Aztecas also has the best salsa in all of Louisville! Highly recommend and ask for Noelia!

Ms. Genesis F was very helpful since it was our first time here. She helped us with our flight Margaritas and ordering our food. She made us feel welcomed. The food was great. I loved the fish.

If i could give this place 10 Stars, i would! The atmosphere was incredible! Live Jazz band played tonight and was everything!! Our waitress, Rosio was the BEST & checked on us frequently! This is my 3rd time coming here and will definitely be back!

The food here was DELICIOUS 🤤 ordered the calamari and Baja fish highly recommend. The bar selection was excellent.

I love this restaurant! I’ve been eating here for over a year now and every time I have a great experience. Everyone who works here really cares for their restaurant and their clientele. The food is delicious and will never disappoint!

Onelìa our server, was very attentive and kind. She took great care of us and the food came out quick! I got the seafood chimichanga and the shrimp and crab were cooked great. The queso was a little salty and the refried beans weren't my favorite. Overall I had a great experience.

I ordered Azteca’s Special. It was delicious! Food came quickly and was hot. Service was exceptional! I will be back.

It was our first time and we sat on the beautiful patio! The food was yummy and the skinny marg was delish. Although it was $20, it was large and I only needed one!

Celebrated my daughter's 13th and I have no regrets! The food, atmosphere and customer service was PERFECTO! The complimentary queso salsa and chips FABULOUS! I ordered the carne asada tacos w/ rice and beans and prior I had the Gold Margarita! My mother offered the BIG ONE $24.99 and let me tell you, it's was delicious and you definitely will be feeling great!! BTW she got a to go cup bc she couldn't finish the drink 🤣

Holy Guacamole! What a beautiful restaurant, service, atmosphere, food, decor! I took my special lady friend to try and impress her... fortunately, the fates were smiling, the Sol Azteca sun was shining, the Groovy vibes were vibing! Incredible and very kind staff! I will be back as soon as possible! Margaritas and chips and steak.. let's goooo!

We got the margarita flight - it was amazing!! The Palomino steak platter was amazing- and our waitress Genesis was fantastic!!

I love this place! The booths are cozy and the tables are elegant! The food is delicious and comes on excellently presented plates! The atmosphere is fine dining true Mexican dinning! You can dress casual here. The staff here is helpful and friendly! The mixed drinks are beautifully decorated with fruit and flowers! Great place for birthdays! Great service and delicious food and beverages!
