Medlock Gulf

My family and I have been sending our cars to Medlock Gulf for over 15 years as well as referring all of our friends and family to them. They are amazing and I will never to go another mechanic other than them! I even go to them prior to buying a new car to ask if the choice that I'm making is a good one and what problems I might see on a regular if I make the purchase. I have gone against their guidance one time when buying a car and everything that they said would go wrong with the car did. Lol So I trust them and appreciate them beyond measure. I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering taking their vehicles to them.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. I brought my car here last year for a standard oil change and tire rotation, in addition to some new brake pads, and they were able to get my car back to me in three hours, without a hitch.

earlier this week, I popped a tire hitting the curb, and when my spare went flat as well, I panic called them, and they were graciously able to squeeze me in the same day, even though my car could not get towed until an hour after I had told them when I was coming. They were able to get me a new tire, as well as a new battery within two hours, for a very reasonable price. I will never take my car anywhere else.

These guys are extremely knowledgeable, patient, honest and hard working. I don't trust my car anywhere else. It is a tiny waiting area, but free wifi and restaurants to walk to in the area. Call Paul and make your appointment today.

Best group of guys you could ask for. I have a theory, if you want to find a good reliable mechanic shop,just look around at how busy they are. If they are busy,they generally don't have time to mess around and give you a hard time. I recommend this place to anyone that needs there vehicle fixed and done right with no drama.

These folks have saved me thousands of dollars in the 15 years I’ve been coming here. They are the only place I know that will remove nails and screws from tires and plug the leak. $20 for a repair instead of $200 for a new tire!

I’ve had Medlock Gulf work on a couple of my cars and have been consistently impressed. Hard to find another shop this honest - when my wife’s CRV’s AC wasn’t working the first place we tried just said oh whole thing needs replaced it’ll be $1000. Took it to Medlock Gulf and it actually just needed an electrical relay replaced - for $50. Likewise for my Mazda had another place do my 100k miles manufacturer recommended tune up which included spark plugs. It was misfiring afterwards and I took it back to that shop 3x and each time they said there was nothing wrong. Took it to the Gulf and they fixed the problem in a couple of hours by installing the correct plugs - and showed me that the ones the other place had used were cracked and burned.

I had to head to Florida at the last minute for a family emergency, and I was way overdue for an oil change. The Medlock Gulf guys were really busy with clients when I came in. But, when they heard I needed to get on the road that night, they worked me into their full schedule. I would have been willing to wait several hours, but they changed my oil and looked over my car, and I was on my way in about 20 minutes. I made it safely to Florida, and they really impressed me. They're great.

So far, so good. Saturday will be my first service for service on my 1973 VW Thing. I chose Medlock Gulf after talking with trusted neighbors. I’ve had a difficult time finding any shop to service this 50 yr. old air- cooled engine, vehicle. When I made my service appointment yesterday, Gulf immediately gave me an appointment, leaving me with a feeling of relief that, finally, competent folks will be caring for this fun to drive vehicle.

I’ll never get my car repaired or serviced elsewhere. These guys are knowledgeable, give prompt service, and have fair prices. So rare in the automotive world where ripoffs abound.

Stopped by on a busy Saturday 10 minutes before closing. I know the guys had a log day because traffic on Scott Blvd was back to back because of a festival that weekend. My tire indicator said my tire was going flat. I pull in, immediately got assistance and had the look of *I need help*on my face. Even though the guys were ready to shut it down, they repaired my tire in record speed. These guys are class act!!

I'm a new customer, and I believe my 2007 Honda CRV is in good hands, finally! These guys know their business. People have tried to discouraged me by telling me they were too expensive, but my experience has been that they have a fair price and they know what they're doing. I couldn't ask for more. Over heated right there next to them and they were so helpful! Had me back on the road in no time. So basically I hope y’all are lucky enough to have misfortune near good folks like these guys.

When my dashboard light showed a swift decrease in psi in my tire, I panicked. Then I headed right to Medlock Gulf for help. They calmed me down, showed me the allen wrench (whaaat?!) wedged dangerously into my tire, and told me they could fix it right away. A big sigh of relief....and I was safely on my way. These guys are awesome~~ gave encouraging help, right when I needed it most.
