Acropolis Pizza Restaurant

Love this old school Greek & Italian restaurant with a very extensive menu. It was closed through COVID & just recently opened back up. Garlic knots are reason enough to go. They are fresh made & incredible. Greek salad is excellent. I had sausage ravioli & was not disappointed. Plenty of free parking. Decor is dated but charming.

They've done mostly all pick up since the pandemic but the food is always delicious there are huge portions and the prices are great and the customer service is wonderful as well. My go to meal is their baked spaghetti with meat sauce and 2 of their huge delicious meatballs. But the pizza the
baked spaghetti and everything I've ever had there is delicious. Always a pleasure!

Today my bff & I stopped in for lunch, first off our service was beyond amazing! I totally did not catch the servers name unfortunately. She was very attentive 💯 The food was amazing! Garlic knots was our starter, the dough was delicious which made me order a calzone ❤ I had to take home my leftovers 🤦‍♀ my friend had the steak & cheese sandwich. Which ended up with her ordering one to go! The music was a great vibe! I have to give a shout out! From the front of the house to the back!

Excellent.. we stopped in on our way back from Nashville to bring home to Charlotte. 3 orders ! Mine included the Parthenon Pizza and a small pepperoni! Both were heavenly! I had to try a slice before we got to Charlotte ! 4 different people tried it and loved it ! Will definitely be back when in the area !

So I moved here back in 2018 and this restaurant has provided the only consistent "Sicilian-style" pie in the 828/surround areas to date.
I highly recommend you stop here while visiting Asheville, NC.

Got a take out order and it was amazing. Best tasting gyro meat we’ve ever had. The Greek dressing and tzatziki sauce was wonderful too. Service was fast and friendly.

I have ordered takeout from here at least half a dozen times now and it’s been wonderful each time. They give you lots of food for the money pasta wise and I have tried their chicken Alfredo, penne pesto pasta, And their lobster ravioli. I can easily turn this into three light meals or two big meals! And their Sun-dried tomato Alfredo sauce is perfectly seasoned.

My mother-in-law brought us here a few years ago. I hadn't traveled back to town since she moved away, but I was traveling through and had to bring my parents and brother here to try it out! They were not disappointed! This place serves the best food, the staff is friendly and attentive, the portion sizes are generous, and the prices are fantastic! And they do not skimp on the cheese! If you are in town, I highly recommend eating here! They offer Italian dishes, Greek dishes, and American dishes. There's something here for everyone! My only regret is not saving room for dessert!

Came in on Sunday around 1 and the wonderful smell of Italian food immediately hit our senses. Visiting from Alabama, we were wanting to try something different and Acropolis did not disappoint! New York style pizza was wonderful and the gyros were excellent.

This five star review is for 2 things: 1) Acropolis' AMAZING calzone: so golden, fluffy, perfect crust to filling ratio, extravagant filling options (and the first five are free!), perfectly baked every time and 2) the friendliest, most personable front desk fella I've had the pleasure of interacting with in a while.

The garlic knots are my favorite in town, too!

Get you a takeout calzone and garlic knots, plus a side of marinara, and name your happy carb nap after me ;)

Heads up that at the time of this review (12 Mar 22), there's no dine-in option. I want to eat my calzone like a goblin, in the privacy of my own home, so that's fine with me.

When I’m in Asheville for work Acropolis is my go too stop for my meal break! I’ve never had a bad meal or experience and the portions are generous. Mac from SC

First time eating here. Definitely won't be our last when we're in the area! Awesome food and service! Mediterranean wrap, lamb & chicken platter were excellent. 32° ice Bar was fun to sit our drinks on while we ate lunch, too!

The cashier the last few times I have been in has been WONDERFUL! Above and beyond level of service. Super helpful and considerate. I love the food and I don't mind having to remember CASH or eating next door. Great stuff.

When visiting Acropolis Pizza in Arden, NC you know you are in for a very special treat. From the moment you are seated to your very last bite it is a culinary experience unlike any other.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. In addition to that the food is made from scratch with lots of love!

I had the small Greek Salad, a bed of fresh greens with cherry tomatoes, red onions, Greek olives and crumbled feta cheese with their signature Greek Dressing.

Next was the Acropolis Pizza with made from scratch dough, tossed by hand with made fresh tomato sauce with fresh garlic, green peppers, sliced tomatoes, hamburger, Italian sausage, ham, black olives, pepperoni with extra cheese. The cheese is what brings everything together. Fresh delicious and fresh cheese.

My mom has the beef gyro with warm pita bread, teriziki sauce, with a side Greek salad.

I was craving a really good salad and I have such a hard time finding the perfect one especially at 8:00 at night in south Asheville. We had been told great things about acropolis so we have them a try. I was so pleased with my Maliblue Salad! It was huge I could only eat half! They were generous with everything in this salad. The Ingredients were so fresh and it hit the spot. Had delicious strawberries and mandarins and all kinds of good stuff. I was able to substitute feta for the blue cheese. Yummy dressing too. I also ordered spanakopita. So flaky and buttery, the tzatziki was perfect. (The order comes with 4 I had already eaten 2 when I took the photo) The price point was much better than most places in the area we felt it was an Incredible value. Whoever is running this place is doing everything right. We greatly appreciate your delicious good quality food in such hard times :) if I could give you 100 stars I would.
