Little Pigs BBQ

My wife and I absolutely love Little Pigs BBQ and it never fails to hit the spot. We got an 8 pc takeout with 2 sides and hushpuppies.

Hushpuppies are sweet and salty balls of bready goodness, some of the best we've had. The baked beans were sweet the a bit of spice and acid, and were cooked through but not falling apart. I don't like coleslaw but the wife absolutely loves their coleslaw, and she is picky about her slaw.

The chicken... flavorful, crispy, and juicy with well seasoned light breading on it. I know fried chicken, and this place knocks it out of the park every single time. No wonder it has been open for decades and is known for their fried chicken. Run, don't walk, to this place.. you won't be disappointed.

While on my way back home to Charlotte from Asheville I decided to stop by here and grab something to go to have for dinner tonight. I was just driving by and I’m a sucker for an old school spot so I swerved in immediately to see what they had going on.

Soon as I walked in, it was like taking a step back in time which I absolutely loved. Seems old school places are becoming a thing of the past in Charlotte, so I was beyond thrilled to walk in here. I got the chicken and rib meal with slaw and beans. It was absolutely delicious. You can tell they perfected their recipes years ago and that’s why they’re still in business now. My only regret is I didn’t find out abt them sooner during my time in Asheville because I would certainly love to dine in. The staff was very friendly and welcoming which I loved.

This place is amazing. My dad ate here the day I was born. I ate here the day my son was born. I also ate here the day I took my mom to hospice. This place has always been amazing.

EVERYTHING we ordered was GREAT...ESPECIALLY the hushpuppies & onion rings!! (I'd drive to JUST gets those!) Really good pulled pork & fried chicken too. We'll be BACK! 😋

Their broasted chicken is so juicy and the flavor is delicious! Really great and super affordable take out to feed a family gathering of 6 for under $55! Pulled pork, 12 pieces of chicken, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and yummy hush puppies!

A true classic of southern bbq joints, and the type of place many of us grew up with.

Outstanding! This little place has been open since 1963 for good reason. The pork was so tender. The slaw chopped fine. The lemon pie was so good!

Came to town for some traditional Carolina BBQ. Tried several others around. By far, Little Piggy's BBQ is the best BBQ in Asheville, it didn't disappoint. Simple menu, everything was excellent.

I had the BBQ & Rib combo plate with a side potato salad, beans, hush puppies, and coleslaw. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the pork had a awesome hickory taste to it, the coleslaw was very fresh, the potato salad was wonderful, the hush puppies were very good not over spiced like other places.

Pibbs pop on tap was a real treat for me, that's hard to find in Michigan.

The lemon pie, perfection.

Broasted chicken is so tender and juicy. BBQ sauce is classic, not sweet. The coleslaw, and potato salad was home made and just right. Highly recommended if you like classic BBQ. No frills, just good.

This is what a BBQ joint should be. Little Pigs has good quality food at the right place. Asheville is filled with pretentious, "hip" restaurants that create a fake atmosphere and food that doesn't deliver in terms of price and value. This place does. I tried the broasted chicken, slaw, fries, hushpuppies, and lemon pie. They were all delicious.

I love this restaurant! I always get the tomato based sauce on mine. The staff is super nice and friendly.

No frills excellent food. If you don't mind linoleum and get your own drinks the food is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable

Best bbq in town! Little pigs is not afraid to keep their traditional Southern roots. You will not find craft beer or exotic barbecue sauce favors here! Just classic down home Carolina bbq!

Unreal how good this was place for the price point. The local history decorating the walls is almost as good as the food

Always fast and friendly service! Awesome and delicious Broasted Chicken!! I ate lunch there with my hubby, father-in-law, and his son-in-law yesterday. We all enjoyed it!
