Nice, newly built library (in 2021) located in Haw Creek just off of Tunnel Road. In addition to being the second largest library in Buncombe County, the library also has a basketball court, picnic tables, and a really nice playground.

This is a beautiful library. The parking lot is very clean. The outside grounds are inviting. The inside of the library is modern and spacious. The staff are very kind and helpful. I would be willing to drive out of my way to visit this location.

The newly built East AVL library is very airy with lots of natural light and, from what I remember of the smaller older one, much-needed ... I appreciate that it's LEED certified; while "the greenest building is the one that's already built", I appreciate the attempt to be conscientious about what kind of footprint this new building would make.

Cozy, as well as practical seating areas. What would make it even better is having more tables and chairs- and when I look around I see the room to do so... We don't need to be six feet apart anymore, after all!....Really cute cubby booths in the teen area.
Substantial children's section.I'm grateful to see kids in the library and actually excited about reading books, however, it can get a bit louder than one might prefer a library to be with the kiddos. ⭐Perhaps an opportunity for the parents and staff to instill an awareness of sharing space with others???⭐

2 nice study rooms for up to four people that you can reserve up to 2 hours. They even have a screen and hook up for all your techie needs.

For a small Branch library, they've managed to put a lot in one space. If they don't have a book in stock you can always use the interlibrary loan system and have it delivered to the East Asheville branch.

Staff is very helpful. 📚📖
Grateful it's in my neighborhood.🙏🏼💚🏡

On December the 7th 2023 I attended the talk by Terry Roberts as he discussed The Sky Club with us attendees for seventy minutes. We went ten minutes over because the environment in the room was captivating. Thank You Host Library. I peered out the community room window for a moment and noticed a couple of houses in the library backyard, those places must cost a fortune $$$. Keep hosting local authors.

Having this lovely library within walking distance of our home is really a nice treat. It's a smaller library but is very open, clean, mostly quiet (be mindful that public libraries are for kids too and kids can be rowdy so try to be nice about it, and look on the positive side that it's great to see kids having fun at a library!), and the best part: it has a really wide selection of books for its size! We visited on a Saturday afternoon to get an account and card set up. Staff were friendly, patrons seemed respectful of the space, and there are several well lit cozy seating options if you want to set up to study or read for a while. So happy to see a local library seeming to do well! I also didn't realize Buncombe County had so many libraries so now I'll have to stop by the other ones when I'm in those areas.

It's Wednesday the 12 of October 2022. I was greeted immediately upon entering the front desk area, whick was perfect because I was carring a heavy box of books to donate. The gentleman working took them immediately. I noticed the feeling within the Library, it's so well-kept, even looks new. The colored rocking chairs are the perfect intention to, sit-n-read. Libraries are great investments.
