This is a great chic salon. The staff is extremely kind, friendly and welcoming. Nicole is an incredible stylist. She's a very patient professional, and is great at listening - but also giving feedback about the haircut. I had been going to the same stylist for over 2 years prior to seeing Nicole, and I had my routine down. It's been great getting to know this salon and look forward to going there; and, establishing a long-term relationship with them. I also like the natural lighting from the large front windows.

Recently moved to Hickory. I'm so happy I found Hot Mess! (which is what my hair was) I've tried a few salons that were ok but I wasn't able to get the haircut and color I was looking for. Tasha was able to take my pictures and desire for what I wanted and give me exactly what I was looking for. Tasha is so friendly, you feel like you've known her for years. I would highly recommend giving her a try. The salon is cozy, warm and a welcoming space. The only thing missing was my comfy PJ's and fluffy socks and I could have hung out for hours. Easy parking. She was on time for my appointment and other that followed after me. She didn't push any products on me which I appreciated. Her prices are very reasonable and the quality is extremely high.

I came in on recommendation from another person and am so glad I did. Through Covid19, I had trimmed on my pixie, and as you can imagine, was in bad shape, needing a “real” haircut and color. Tasha did a fabulous job and I happily scheduled my next appointment!

Best haircut ever! After trying other failed hairstylists, I knew within three minutes that Nicole knew exactly what I wanted and she delivered the best hair cut I have had in YEARS!!

Fun atmosphere and super friendly stylists. Have not had a chance for a cut there, but will definitely try this place next time around.
