I am so glad I found Mo! I have had both a tune up massages and tune up workout session with him to help with my overall body issues, especially where my back and feet are concerned. Mo is knowledgeable, kind, funny and super in tuned with the body’s ability to heal from within. He listens to you and what you need and comes up with reasonable ways to improve your well being. He also comes with a lot of extra information and contacts that can help with other areas of your life; you can get a full suite of help from him if needed. We definitely need more functional wellness in the world and I’m glad Mo is part of my healing journey - looking forward to many years ahead with him ☺

If you’re thinking about calling Mo, you should. I’ve been working out weekly with him since September and I’ve also been a massage client for years. Learning from Mo is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. His knowledge of the body and how it naturally moves is unlike any professional I have met (and I'm an RN and yoga teacher). The movement sessions are the safest and most effective practice I’ve experienced - I’m looking and feeling better than I have in years. He’s always professional and on time which I really appreciate with my busy schedule. I recommend him to my friends and clients on a regular basis. A session with him is 1000x better than a yoga class.

“Mo is uncommonly communicative and attentive. His style is casual but professional, and his approach to massage is unique and valuable. In my opinion, Mo Goldstein’s approach could result only from lifelong, genuine passion for kinesiology — passion that is grounded in practical interrogation of common physical human maladies particular to contemporary life. Mo seems to me guided by his passion, and he is further aided by keen instincts and a nuanced, mature understanding of how humans inhabit their bodies. I highly recommend him.”

Mo is amazing and I can’t say enough positive things about him! A friend of mine recommended him to me due to reoccurring acute back pain that I suffer from way too often. It completely wipes me out to bed rest for weeks at a time! Given that I am self-employed, when I’m unable to work, I lose income. I decided that I needed to stop being a victim to this and look towards preventative measures and do whatever I can to avoid this from happening. I figure that if there’s something I can do to help the situation and feel better while doing it, why wouldn’t I?! I’m feeling positive that I’m on the right path with Mo’s guidance. I feel stronger than ever! Mo is absolutely wonderful to visit if you want to treat yourself to an amazing massage periodically, but I have several reasons that I recommend him for routine appointments.

First, having a weekly appointment helps to make you accountable. When I leave him, I’m excited to go do the workouts / movements we have assembled and knowing that I’m going back in a week, it reminds me to do them consistently. If I took a lot of time off in between appointments, I know that I would let life get in the way and put off taking care of myself. Also, if time does happen to slip up on me, I know that I can get in a good workout at least once that week. Win-win!! I feel like the money spent is well worth every penny if I’m able to feel good and not miss work, but more importantly not miss out on life!

Second, Mo is so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivational about what he does that it’s just so refreshing to be around him. He’s always happy to review any exercises / movements we have previously worked on as well as introduce new exercises. He also works with me on my everyday movements and stretching. Another helpful thing that he does is to follow up each appointment with links to things that we discussed during the appointment. I just love that his philosophy is to keep all workouts fun. With me, he helps to keep me grounded by not focusing on how many reps or time spent, it’s about being consistent and enjoying the process. It doesn’t feel like a dreaded workout doing it his way. I’ve never liked strength training so this has been a huge transition, but one I am greatly appreciating and actually enjoying.

And the final HIGHLY recommended offering by Mo are his exquisite massages. He has such a nurturing and positive nature that you can’t help but to feel comfortable with him. He checks in to make sure you are enjoying the experience and I believe he genuinely cares. I’ve had numerous massage therapists, but choose him based on his kindness and nurturing manner as well as his technique. He’s the full package! I truly look forward to my time with Mo every week.

This was the best massage I have ever had in my life. And I have had some really amazing bodywork. I have been seeking this massage for years and years and years. I am a massage therapist myself and adore bodywork, but this session with Mo just introduced me to the next level. How can I describe? Integration, attuned, intuitive, skillful, technical, exacting, complete, safe, multidimensional, mobilizing, customized. But Something I learned from Mo was the value of communication. He introduced vocabulary to me at the beginning of the session which helped me communicate how I was feeling in the moment without it becoming distracting or too cerebral. I feel like I have new life after this session. Thank you so much Mo.

Mo is amazing! His massage is professional, customized, and simply the best experience you could ask for. He is knowledgeable in all facets of the body and offers great advice if you ask. You can tell he truly wishes you to have the best experience possible. It's just not a business to him and that is what I most appreciate!

I went in for a massage, and was greeted with warmth and sincerity from Kathy. I received my massage from Mo, who is intelligent, intuitive, and simply one of those people who is clearly passionate about his work. I will return soon for an appointment with Mo for functional wellness. Based on the massage alone, I know that my body, my strength, my "functional wellness," is already significantly, markedly improved.

I love Mo! I say that because he's a genuine and lovable guy! Not only does he have his own unique healing methods for functional movement and structure, but he's also deeply caring, empathetic and a great listener. He's creative in his approaches. I went in yesterday with a lot of emotions pent up from a crazy past few weeks and years! He was able to accept me as I am and help me walk through my emotions while working on my body. He helped me map out a vision for what my life will look like a year from now and feel it in my body. Then we worked on postures and getting into the body. Then he gave me a super nurturing and healing massage. It helped reset my body for this next cycle and I'm completely grateful! Read his bio and you'll learn why he has such reverence for the human body!

Just say YES!

Each and every time that I say YES! to functional wellness from the massage fingertips of Mo—everyone in my life benefits. It reaches beyond deep body release, meridian activation and clearing, and gentle organ detox to emotional, mental and even spiritual reconnection and rebalance. I come in with all the raw human emotion and experience that I can articulate and Mo connects the people, resources and websites to bring integration to the experience that I have on the table. No other massage therapist has his unique set experiential education and intellectual genius. Get some Mo! Your children will thank you and your partner will encourage you to go back.

I'd been going to Mo for years for his over-the-top excellent massages just to spoil myself. I've been to a LOT of massage therapists, and he has them all beat, hands down. Then I got hit by a car while out bicycling. Things did not look good. I was making no progress, and my physical therapists were starting to make "adapt to your new body" noises. So I went to Mo, and after just the first massage session I made a great leap forward! Every time I went I would make a great leap forward! I started going weekly to maintain, and my PTs were amazed at the turnaround. All the way through my recovery, Mo was there keeping my body open to release and change and balance, and then six months later coaching me on ways to strengthen that I could fit into my day at the desk when I was finally able to go back to work. Now, two years out, you would never know I had been bed bound for two months, on a walker for another two months, then hobbling around like the hunchback of Notre Dame for a year after that. I never would have gotten off that walker without Mo. I never would have been able to hike again. I probably never would have been able to go to work again, when I really think about it. The man is gifted. And kind. And intuitive. And fun to talk with. Give him a try, you'll be glad you did!

I have been under the care of a Johns Hopkins physician in Baltimore for many years. One of the issues I have had is back pain due to scoliosis and osteoporosis. I was sent for steroid injections but due to the side effects of steroids and the possible failures of the treatments I decided to seek out alternative therapies.
I am so glad I decided to take my daughters advice and treat myself to the bodywork of Mo Goldstein.
Have you ever met someone who inspires you the better you; Better version of yourself? Mo is one of those rare humans. I didn't know he would facilitate so many of the changes I have been stuck working on unsuccessfully.
I've read the other reviews and every word is true: his 'positive nature; "He genuinely cares"; "He helps ground you''; "Nurturing''.
I felt so comfortable in his surroundings I found myself laughing and enjoying myself!
Mo gently guided me through exercises that help change my posture and muscle tone. And last but not least I have enjoyed the relaxing power of carefully trained healing hands. AAAAH!
I only wish I had done this sooner.
Now at 71 years of age i'm getting pretty good at competing with my seven-year-old granddaughter in hopscotch. Smiling.... thank you Mo!
