Hickory Bible Church

As I grew in spiritual maturity, I realized that I needed to find a church that has a high view of God and His Word. I have now been attending HBC for 9 years. Rather than emphasizing the traditions of a denomination, we desire to study and understand the Bible and do what it says, plain and simple, but not easy! By this, we draw closer to God, and as we get a greater glimpse of Him, we desire to serve Him and His people out of gratitude for all He has done to offer us salvation, and to become more like Him in deed and character. This church primarily offers expository preaching (verse by verse through a passage), facilitating an understanding of the Bible and shining the spotlight on God and His Word rather than on a hip pastor. This church aims to feed the sheep, not entertain the goats, but also has a heart for reaching the lost through evangelsim and missions. This community of believers is full of loving saints on a journey traveling together, knitting our lives into a beautiful tapestry, as we follow Jesus and bring Him joy and glory with our lives.

I did research 7 years ago to find a home church that has a friendly and welcoming body of believers, God Centered, Bible teaching, Scripture based and ways to be filled with the Word in addition to Sundays. There are so many different ministries to be involved in, activities from age 0-99. So very blessed to be in this body for 7 years!

Biblical teaching of the Word of God. Worship music that is not so loud that your ears bleed. Excellent facilities for the children too. I'm a new member.

We had a wonderful time with fellow brothers and sisters worshipping our Lord together. If you want to hear sound verse by verse Bible teaching, then this is a church worth checking out! I can't wait until next Sunday!!!

Everything about the church is supported with scripture. If you're looking for a Bible believing and teaching church that takes the instructions of the Word seriously, come visit. I am learning a ton through the women's Bible study I attend and my son loves going to children's church here.

We were greeted by many friendly people after walking in the doors. Solid biblical preaching and edifying message. Will definitely return next time we are traveling through the area again.

Love this place. When we found Hickory Harvest we found more than a church, we found a home, a community of believers dedicated to Christ and to each other. A truly Gospel centered church that presents Christ message faithfully each Sunday. I've grown more as a Christian in the past two years since we've been attending and involved than I did in the previous 20. I also can't say enough about their children's and youth ministry's.

I absolutely love HBC and the sense of family and acceptance I have when I visit. Truly a blessing to hear pastor Jon Krick preach!

Great church for those who want biblical teaching and christian fellowship
