El aguila honduran kitchen

We came in on a Friday night, around 7pm, expecting it to be super busy but no! The pleasantly decorated restaurant was nearly empty, which is surprising with how good the food was. Once you're seated, they immediately put out some chips and salsa. The one on the left was spicy, the one on the right was what you would expect from other Spanish/Mexican/Latino restaurants. Both very pleasant, and both had cilantro. I got the bottom meal, something with steak and plantains (I cannot remember what it was called) and my partner got the top meal that was something with pork. It was all very yummy. I also got a drink called Jamaica which is a fruity hibiscus drink and it is SO good. I got a to go cup to take home with me. All in all, the service was quick and prompt, and our server made sure that we got absolutely everything we needed, along with answering any questions we had. 10/10.

Excellent experience! Food was DELICIOUS! Service was fast, fast, fast! Staff were great! Seriously...still sitting at the table and wishing I wasn't so full! I want more! The salsa is very easy as well!

Service was fast, while staff was friendly and attentive. We tried the Tacos Hondurenos, Encocada de Pescado (Fish in a coconut sauce), Guacamole de la casa, & Loroco con queso pupusa. Everything was delicious! Will definitely go back!

Food is absolutely amazing!! I’m Honduran and I can say this place is authentic food. Fast service. The horchata was awesome. The fried plantains with refried beans and Honduran sour cream, the cheese pupusas and a traditional Honduran dish of Fried chicken and fried plantains called “pollo con tajadas”. Will definitely be going back for more authentic dishes!!!

It was the kindest service I've had in a while and the food was delicious. The server helped me pick every item. I was completely unfamiliar with Honduran food. I really appreciated their patience. The fried chicken was so crispy and well seasoned, the guacamole was frikin awesome. And the fried Plantains we're surprisingly savory. Which I LOVED. The Nance fruit drink was a really delicious flavor I've never had. I can not express how much I really appreciate my server helping me out.

The food was authentic and tasty! I loved everything we ordered. The Horchata was great as well, we will definitely recommend to family and friends!

Thought I would try something slightly different than typical mexican food. Honduran food rocks here. We had some of the most amazing meals here it was spectacular!
We had Carne Rojo with steak, spinach mushroom quesadillas, and pescado in some sort of cream sauce. Amazing.

Delicious and there is something for everyone!! I’m gluten free and lactose free and eating out usually mean I have to sacrifice flavor and that is absolutely not the case at El Aguila!! We really enjoyed it!! Thank you!!

Very unique place if you want some latin american food that's not just your run of the mill Mexican joint. Traditional Honduran dishes made with love! Delicious!

This restaurant is amazing 🤩 Everything tasted delicious and the atmosphere was very nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. We loved it.

Go eat here! One of the better food places in Asheville and surrounding areas for sure, things are authentic, fresh and you can tell they really care about customer satisfaction. I highly recommend their soups, theyre made to order and amazing.
Also you gotta get their horchata, it's made from scratch and not the powdered kind. It's like a totally different drink.

Wanted to try something different on a Friday night, and this is where we ended up. Do not think of this as Mexican food, it is not. We absolutely love the appetizer that we go as well as our meals. Great flavors and super fresh. If in Arden, you should check this place out!!

Let the record state that I have not been to Honduras. I'm just an American who's been traveling the US full time in an RV for the past year and love trying new food. Not only was the food beautifully presented but it was absolutely delicious. We will be going back before we leave NC.

Definitely better food than a Mexican/American restaurant. Wait staff was very helpful making suggestions. The food was excellent and the service superb. We will be back and bring our friends.
