Blanton House Restaurant & Venue

We went to the Blanton house for a Saturday dinner with friends. The house and grounds are beautiful. I could easily see this location as a beautiful wedding/reception location. Menu was small but with a powerful selection of choices. We started with a round of cocktails including espresso martinis . Our appetizers were the bread service and the southern egg rolls. For dinner we had a wide selection duck, pork chops, fillet, gnocchi,and linguine and mussels. Food was plated very well and service was timely and severed hot. Food and service were first class. If I had to be picking it would be with the duck confiet. The duck portion seemed undersized to me and a few of the beans were hard. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back. This is a perfect place for a special night out.

Blanton House is a wonderful addition to Marion. The beauty and preservation of the home is really special. You can have a different experience on multiple visits just by the room you choose. The bar has a cozy and elevated feel. The food was extremely delicious. Favorites were the tomato bisque (so flavorful!) the fried gnocchi (a must have!) and the southern egg rolls (yum!!). Our server Jasmine was a sweetheart too. Can’t wait to go back and try brunch!

This is the best food I’ve tried since I’ve been in NC. The place is elegant and offers a great service. The food was outstanding. Flavors that your palate will remember for ever. We were lucky to meet the very impressive young Chef, Ewin, and were able to congratulate him on putting all that menu together. I highly recommend the sea scallops and fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Will go there anytime!

What a fabulous place! I have been watching the renovations and was so excited when I heard it was going to be a restaurant. The building is divided up into rooms, dining rooms, patio and balconies. There is a beautiful bar right off the entrance. The beautiful staircase is perfect for a picture. 👌
We sat in Dining Room II which overlooks the patio, very nice. Service was excellent! We ordered the crab soup which was delicious with big chunks of crab . As entrees shrimp & grits, salmon over Hoppin John both were excellent quality and tasty. The drinks from the bar were perfect👌.
The bathrooms are beautiful!

This place will be a new favorite for my husband and I.

Beautiful old home. Right next to the post office. Classy place for dinner or weekend Brunch. Full bar. Upscale Marion Restaurant. Beautiful back patio. Owners used to live in the house then moved next door and opened a restaurant in this house. Pleasant and kind staff. Dinner only Thur to Sat. Brunch Friday to Sunday.

My family and I saw the beautiful bar from the street and decided to swing by for after dinner cocktails. From the moment of walking in we were greeted with a very friendly host, the manager, and the bartender. The bartender made us exquisite drinks. We cannot wait to visit again. Fantastic drink options and the food looked delicious!

The Blanton House brunch was amazing! Shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffles were the very best I have ever had! Our waitress offered perfect recommendations as well as a small tour of all the beautiful rooms! This place is such a wonderful addition to Marion, and you should not hesitate to check them out!

My wife and I went for brunch. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant. We have reservations for the evening meal and will be returning soon. This is what the good folks of Marion, NC, and the surrounding community needed. It is a very classy, fine dining atmosphere. Enjoyed it. The Blanton House is the go-to place for fine dining in the area. Take someone who is special to you there and enjoy the experience.

Wow, great new restaurant, fantastic food. Son and I visited and shared a charcuterie board. We each had a drink: Photo Finish in strawberry and peach. He also had a wine flight, which I tasted as well. He ordered the duck breast and I had the filet. Both were delicious, good solid choices and the filet was fork-tender and perfectly cooked. Great place and I will go back!

We had a great time at Blanton House tonight. Our first visit. Fried chicken, collards, potatoes, creme brulee, crab cakes, salad and drinks were all excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful. Wow. We're so glad this restaurant is in Marion!

Went for the 1st time last Sunday for brunch. Initially the service was slow taking an extremely long time to get our drinks. The server was very friendly and everything after that moved along much faster. Beautiful building and looks like they have a great patio for warmer weather. We both ordered drinks from their specialty menu that were absolutely delicious. The menu is pricy but the quality and taste of the food along with the good service made it fair. The creme brûlée was overpriced at $17 though. Overall it was an excellent brunch and experience.

My husband and I visited the Blanton house for our anniversary in December. And from the walk up to the door, to the Christmas atmosphere and waitstaff, to the phenomenal food! All of it exceeded our expectations. From a wedding party to a date night out I very highly recommend the experience!

What a find this resturants is. The decor is Simply elegant. A neat bar. Several rooms with different decor. A beautiful patio, balconies and courtyard. Service was impeccable. We went for Brunch. By the time we left we felt like friends by the Owners, Chef and waitstaff. The crab cakes for our appetizer, were the best we’ve had. I ordered Eggs Cochon. Excellent. Perfect poached eggs, a wonderful homemade biscuit, with pulled pork and a hollandaise sauce, served with potatoes. My partner ordered Shrimp and grits. We love good quality food. That is exactly what we found. You can tell they use the best ingredients. The results proved that.
We will definitely be back. Hope others will come out to support this great addition to the Marion restaurant venue.

Everything was absolutely delightful. They cooked everything to perfection. Nothing impressed us on the menu from looking at it but after tasting how good it was, ohh my, they knocked it out of the park. They pack alot of delicious flavors into every single dish. The southern eggroll was my favorite with delicious pulled pork and collard greens so good I would fight a stranger for them. I was really impressed with everything from the ambiance, to the staff, to the wonderfully delicious food we had. We will definitely be back and if your in the area do yourself a favor and go.

Service was impeccable and every dish was seasoned well. I recommend the salmon and risotto. The bbq egg rolls are amazing too!

What a great place and nice change for the area! We had dinner last night for my birthday, and it was perfect! Food was delicious, Addison was great… and restaurant was beautifully decorated.
Marion needed an upscale restaurant and they did not disappoint.
Can’t wait to go back!

Kind staff. Sincere and prudent. Food was immaculately prepared. Thank you for bringing this restaurant to McDowell county. The establishment and the ambiance in this restaurant feels welcome and parallel to the menu they serve, from appetizers to desert. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Quite a wonderful experience! I always am nervous to try new fine dinning places but this place has a calm atmosphere, great food & drinks and the proportions are perfect. I don’t go to nice restaurants like this often, but I was impressed by this one! My boyfriend is in culinary school and likes to try new places and he also really loved the food here! I highly recommend the Charleston Fried Chicken… your mouth will melt and thank me. We also tried every dessert they had, the peanut butter chocolate cake was sooo good. We will be coming back as soon as possible :)

Came in from Morganton at the recommendation of a friend. The ambience is old southern charm fitting for this revival. Started with a Hotty Toddy which was perfect for this chilly evening. Ordered a Sazarac which is hit or miss at most places…but this bartender is 100! Perfect mixologist! The Duck Confit was exceptional ! My wife had the short ribs which were also outstanding. The eggnog espresso martini for dessert was the highlight to finish the evening! Will definitely go back and worth the drive

We had an incredible brunch with outstanding service. Litzy was awesome, the food very tasty, great quality, delicious mimosa, and met great people. Totally recommend!
