The prices at this location are the best! Me and my partner love sitting at the bar and enjoying a variety of delicious foods! Highly recommend this place. Chicken on the stick is the best I've ever had. The drinks are amazing!

Anchor Bar is probably my favorite wing place of all time. Husband and I normally order 30 wings for just the 2 of us - too many good flavors to choose from 😅 (we bring what we can’t finish home of course!). If you like spicy, go ahead with the hottest wings, they are not very hot. Mango Habanero is my favorite, husband likes the Siracha one. We also like their buffalo dry rubs and lemon pepper. It’s 25 cents extra for each addition flavor when we went, so worth trying out new things. We normally do 5 wings for each flavor. Their ranch is delicious. The tatertots are overcooked for my preference, they feel like chips… salad was delicious! Plenty of seats when we were there off season, but could be a wait during the weekend. Plenty of parkings. Service is great always!

The spicy lemon pepper wings were delicious. The menu has a very huge variety of items to order as well. They have a nice playground for the kids to play while you wait for your food.

We enjoyed and great lunch of wings and wedges. The service was great too.

I lived in Buffalo as a child and was lucky enough to get stationed there in the Coast Guard years later. I patronized the original Anchor Bar a few times, because in Buffalo the secret was out, lots of places, almost all had great wings, and “Buffalo” pizza, not to mention a Buffalo standard Beef on Weck, but to get these favorites in San Antonio Texas , and to pull it off as well as they did. It was fantastic. Great food, service, and atmosphere!

We play trivia here. My guy loves the spicy garlic parmesan wings and I always have the mac n cheese every time. They've expanded so it's nicely accommodating to larger crowds. If you like frozen drinks the Miami Vice is nice during summer.

Great active group of Iowa Hawkeye I-Club members...the bar sets up a dedicated area... Not sure who to contact to reserve a seat so they know you're coming if you want to see an Iowa game... If you don't care about seeing the Iowa game they have plenty of other areas lots of people are going in and out...it's very busy and that should tell you a lot...

The ambient (inside the building), the staff, and food all great. If you’re really into hot wings, this is my favorite spot as far as flavor goes for the “hottest” wings on a menu (flavor: extreme). So good I get a side of the sauce! A piece of advice: if you’re coming here on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared for terrible parking. Unfortunately the surrounding clubs take all parking spots and valet start to put cones on empty spots to reserve for themselves.

Attended Trivia Night with a group of friends and had a fabulous time! There were about 25 teams and it was certainly a fun and educational experience. Good food and cold beer plus an attentive wait staff left us feeling that we need to come back. Love Living in San Antonio. Thank you!

We go here quite often because we love the food, service, and atmosphere. The food is always received quickly without any challenges. Beer is cold and we have a great time. Juan is an excellent server, he's so attentive and was absolutely wonderful! We stay for a lot of football games- he made sure we were well taken care of.

I was going to come on and make a complaint about the jalapino poppers being $11.99 and looking pretty skimpy with small amounts of bacon and very little cream cheese but….. before I even could make the review Keagan (the manager) brought me 5 more free of charge. I mean…. bam that girl is on point. They are good but for $11.99 you want them stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in more bacon. But I am not complaining cuz Keagan hooked me up with 10. Not sure if she is new or been here a while only cuz I have not been able to visit for a while but…. she needs a raise or at least to tell her great job on noticing a customer not happy. She made it good. 5 star for Keagan! Oh and the wings are always awesome and that is why I come here.

If I could give this place 17.5 stars I would. We drove 1.5 hours through construction to get here and was not disappointed. I can wholeheartedly say i’m a changed man after these wings. And God bless our server Sophie.

Unique sports bar/restaurant. Their wings are better than any other place in town. They have interesting and unique flavors (sauces & rubs) that beat anything from Pluckers or Buffalo Wild Wings.
These are not your average wings! I've tried most of the sauces and have to say they are all 9/10 quality of not better!
There are tvs around the whole place which let you catch your fav team or game. They are taking all covid precautions very serious with plastic walls in between tables and servers wearing masks. Besides the wings, they also have tasty burgers and other dishes.
Great for a casual time out with friends or to catch the game. Highly recommend. Especially if you're in the mood for wings and drinks! Best wings in San Antonio.

We had a family date night and decided to come here. My daughter had been here for lunch and said that the wings were great and they were! We had the lemon pepper rubbed and the were really good👍the fried mac n cheese bites were mouth watering 🤤. They have an outstanding fenced playground for kids with turf grass. My grandson had a ball. I recommend a nice cool adult beverage to go with the meal 😉

Stopped here while on vacation and was very impressed. The staff was friendly and the wings were excellent. Between my wife and I we tried 3 different sauces (bourbon bbq, honey garlic, and medium). I would highly recommend any of them. If you are looking for really good wings look no further!

I went with my kids on a Sunday expecting it to be crowded and slow but we had the play area to ourselves and the food was excellent. Most outstanding, however, was the GM who was so nice and responsive. I would go back just for her!

Decided to give Anchor Bar a try, and I was floored by how good they were! I highly recommend this place. I got their Buffalo mild, medium, lemon pepper and habanero ranch with lime and a side of tater tots, all absolutely delicious with the right amount of crunch and flavor. I will be back, hopefully soon.

Edit: So I returned two days later, and with pictures. I got the loaded fries with jalapeños (huge appetizer) and an order of Double (20 wings). The quality and taste were consistent with my first visit and it’s awesome.

Nice bar area... plenty of TV'S to see the game from every angle. Plus there's a TV in the mirror in the restroom. The Wings area great! If you can't get to Buffalo to the original; original wings place then this is a great alternative. This place is really awesome... our server Isaac was a pleasure to chat with & had a great attitude.

The best damn bar/ grill, if you will, that makes you feel at home without being at your home bored. They have great servers, great food and great bartenders

Went to watch the Bears game today. Everything was good except for the Bears! I was glad that they had a no alcohol beer option. I ordered the wings even though I knew they were going to be expensive. I was not disappointed with the wings at all. Got them with just salt and pepper, they were fried just right.

There were a couple of minor service issues, but nothing to really complain about on a game day.

Will definitely return, but will probably not get wings until the price goes back down.
