One of our first parks on the south/west side of town. The park is older so the playground is not as clean as others around McKinney but I love that there is great walking areas and a safe parking lot. There is also a wonderful sized field to run, kick a soccer ball, or fly a kite. There is no bathroom but the park is not to far from Walmart and 7-11.

A beautiful park in our backyard! Amazing trails, trees, and scenery. I highly recommend walking through here at least once a month!

Safe walking paths here with wide spaces and easy access to parking. Also the trail goes through neighborhoods and is easy to locate entries and exits. Dog bags and other needed trash bins are posted throughout. Lighted tunnels on the path, too.

The gorge is a lovely piece of the NT stretching from the entrance further into the park in several sections. The most common way to view it properly is to join a boat tour which will give you up to three options to explore. We chose to tour two sections. The boat trip includes a commentary which was interesting and offered several photo opportunities along the way. It’s a two hour round trip and we felt this was adequate. To access the second section there was a walk involved. Only consisting of 400m smooth rock hopping, it will be fine for anyone mobile. They do allow those who struggle a shady place to wait if they need to. It’s an expensive trip for a family like every tourist activity, but you try to forget that as you glide through the water and watch the pretty landscape pass you by. I would only do it once.

It's a cute little park. Great place to take your kids or play Pokemon go if your an odd duck like myself. It's a nice park to take a quick walk or do a few laps.

Small park and pond nestled in the middle of residential McKinney. Wish there were more parks like it!! Lmb can be hard to catch, but when they do... Hold on tight.

Its got a nice quick paved sidewalk trail that loops widely around and over the pond with benches, kid's playground and basketball course. Plenty of folks walk their dogs here and our pup loved it here.

Fun for all ages.... The park is great for play activities but also the man-made creek has a good ecosystem for kids who love nature. (From turtles, crayfish, fish, frogs, to toads)

Decent perch fishing on worms in the early morning or late afternoon. Pond has a good bit of plant life that can snag hooks. A few pesky turtles and a water moccasin here and there. Over all a fun place to fish locally.

Nature's hatchery in the Spring fills the pond. Turtles bask in the sun. You can walk the sidewalk trail for miles. The playground and grounds are well kept.
