I've been going to Capra & Cavelli for many years. Most of the nice clothing I own is from there. In fact, I was just there today, getting help from Ken. When you go to Capra & Cavelli, you're paying for experience and quality. It's not some corporate conglomerate; it's a local small business which has been in the community for about 30 years. The people who work there have been doing this work for decades. Ken, who helped me today, has been there since it opened. I hate clothes shopping normally, but the folks at Capra are kind, their taste is excellent, they help everyone of every size, they order anything they don't have in stock, and they take good care of you. If you're looking for some cheap shirt sold to you by someone getting paid minimum wage by a billion-dollar business, Capra isn't what you want. If you want experience, quality, comfort, and local flavor, Capra & Cavelli is where you go. Can't recommend highly enough. They are the best in this business.

I visited Capra & Cavelli a few months before my wedding to see if it would be a good option for a new wedding suit. I made an appointment with Buddy Estrella, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. On my wedding day, I wore an absolutely perfect fitting, dapper, Italian wool suit. I couldn't be happier with the suit, the purchase, and the experience of working with Buddy and C&C.

Soon into the first appointment, it was very clear that Buddy was a guru with men's formal fashion. He has a depth of experience to draw from as a clothier, and it was quickly apparent. Buddy expertly guided me through dozens of choices while customizing my suit. He quickly gained an intuition for they type of style I was going for and gave me excellent recommendations. I'm very grateful that I had his fashion sense to rely upon as I made those choices - the guidance was direct, tasteful, and modern.

There were so many options that I would have struggled with choosing, but Buddy gave me subtle, firm recommendations based on his expertise and understanding of my style preferences. Most importantly, my fiancée absolutely loved the suit, and the added confidence it came with.

All in all, the experience was one of the best retail and service experiences I've ever had. The advice was excellent. The follow-through and consistency was perfect - all timelines were accurate and every appointment was handled professionally.

Ivan is amazing. Had a great experience with him. I went in for a final fitting right before moving and needed some final adjustments. Ivan offered to ship them up to where I was moving at no cost and even provided a complimentary adjustment for another item of clothing I had brought in. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very thorough. Throughout the whole process he kept me updated via email, even providing tracking numbers so I could find out when I would be receiving my items. Great experience all around!

I've shopped at Capra & Cavelli for nearly all of my clothing needs for the past 17 years. I've always been taken care of as if I was their only customer, and the quality of my clothing has been consistently excellent. I've purchased clothing off the rack, have had custom suits made, and have bought everything from shoes to cufflinks at C&C. Jeff and Ken have done an amazing job of nurturing a culture of customer service, and establishing a very personable atmosphere. I feel so fortunate that a store of this quality is in Austin, TX. I highly recommend it for people wanting to look their best, and desire the best in customer service.

We came here to have a suit made and the service was fantastic. Victor was extremely helpful and fun! He helped create a wardrobe that was desperately needed and did it in a way that conscious of both current styles and individual preference. He's been great every time we've gone back to pick up orders and always makes sure that everything is just right. We will definitely come back for more custom items!

This is a long overdue review of a purchase made at Capra and Cavelli a month and a half ago, during which I received exemplary service from Ivan. I should also note that I received courteous welcomes from the other staff any time I have visited.

I like nice clothes that are well made and well fitted, and this store is the go-to clothier in Austin for quality work and wide selection, and the professionalism - the level of service offered at C&C is impeccable. They are consultative, not pushy, and know that if you get even a few things you love, you will be back, so they focus on your needs and preferences, offering opinions and guidance when requested or appropriate.

If you want custom clothing they can help you and I have no doubt they do well, and at the custom clothing price range, perhaps so can others in town, but when it comes to off-the-rack clothing that can be fitted and tailored within a week or two, which was my need at the time, due to an imminent change of jobs (transition from “Austin casual” to “business casual” workplaces), I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They simply don’t sell fused-liner junk, nor are their quality garments limited to a single designer you’ve never heard of - they have the goods, in a selection of styles, fabrics and designers, and can order it for you if at the moment they don’t have what you want.

I found a warm weather sport jacket, 3 shirts, two pairs of summer wool slacks, and a set of braces. I am, admittedly, larger than average - bordering on specialty store large (I’m working on it!). Aside from Capra and Cavelli, I would probably only find that many items that fit at a large chain retailer, and I would be making more compromises in terms of fabric and quality. Quality clothes last for years, and Capra has the timeless styles, with or without modern touches, for just about any build and occasion. I recommend them and will be back.

Ivan Vuk-Pavlovic helped me with the sourcing and tailoring of a morning suit for my wedding, and I cannot have been more pleased! Every step of the way he provided helpful guidance and insight, from helping me evaluate suits from different manufacturers to what kind of alterations would give the correct shape. Everything was done in an incredibly timely, and throughout the entire experience I was made to feel welcome and at home. I highly recommend Capra & Cavelli and Buddy Estrella. I recently ordered a custom made suit, and when the jacket arrived and was not exactly to my liking Buddy had another made for me. We had agreed on the measurements for the first one, so I can’t place any blame, but when I tried it on it just didn't fit exactly the way I wanted it. Buddy is simply the best. Knowledgeable, patient and courteous, Buddy was terrific. Also, lots of people mentioned the great experience with custom suits, but I walked in and said, "I have $800 to spend; can you help me out?" And Buddy sure did. He explained the way the suits are made and the differences in quality and price. I will never shop at Men's Warehouse again. This place is the best.

Well curated clothing store where they take the time to make sure you're taken care of completely. I originally came for their collection of Hickey Freeman, but now I go there for everything. I just got my wedding clothes there in fact. I've worked with Buddy for years, and I always enjoy it. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Pick your material, style, and have your measurements taken. Get the best suit of your life for the same price of a anchor store. I highly recommend swinging in and asking questions. The staff are fantastic and always impeccably dressed.
