reasonable price and nice elegant seating by the lake w/full bar. Friendly and attentive service. Flavorful Tender aged juicy steaks. Seafood tower was fresh and delicious. Juicy and sweet lobster tails, fresh tuna, scallops, king crab meat, jumbo shrimps and oysters. My friend enjoyed his sea bass dish . The green beans was flavorful and spicy. But I still enjoy it . Creamy mashed potatoes with potatoes chucks was yum. Decent portion from the kids menu . Can’t wait to return .

Over the weekend we enjoyed dinner at Spoon and Stable, Demi and Gianni's. Gianni's may not have the beautiful presentation of Spoon and Stable nor the technical execution of Demi but every single dish we ordered hit the mark.

The steak was cooked perfectly, the batter on the fried chicken was delicate and flavourful and the oysters Rockefeller was the best I've had in years. The potato pappalette was absolute fire; I wish I ordered a second one for breakfast the next day!

The wine selection is excellent and our server picked us the perfect bottle based on our preferences.

My only gripe was the lack of attention to our drinks. I had to top up our wine and reach out to other servers to get our waters refilled.

All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. The next time the wife and I visit Minneapolis, Gianni's will be the first place we stop for dinner.

My fiancé and I love this place so so much! It is the perfect date night spot. We went this last weekend and it was so delicious. I always get the salmon and it did not disappoint!! Our server Betsy was also so kind and we were never left in need of anything. She was always there to get us more water and fill whatever we needed! She was so kind and we are excited for our next visit!

My fiance and I celebrated a new business venture together at Gianni's. As fans of lamb chops, we weren't disappointed by their delicious, tender lamb chops. I like how simple they were and cooked perfectly. They served them with a roast bulb of garlic. It made the lamb taste even better. The steak burger and escargots were wonderful too. The staff was great. Our server was a joy to talk with and very attentive. Overall, a fine meal. It's been awhile since we had such a pleasant and satisfactory dinner.

Gianni’s was really awesome. The food was fantastic.

We tried their popcorn that everyone talks about and it was beyond what I ever imagined popcorn could be. Great little light snack.

Their French Onion soup is just your classic French Onion soup, nothing to rave about but love that it’s what you just expect it to be.

The Oyster Rockefeller was also really delicious. I’m sad that it came incredibly late (after we’ve already received our mains, but the server did take it off our bill as a show of good faith).

The fried chicken was also better than I expected it to be. It was crisp and didn’t taste oily at all.

The steak was nothing boundary-pushing but it was hearty and cooked just how we like it.

The potato papallette was so good. I didn’t realize it would be loaded with cheese and all sorts of other goodies. It was big for two people to share. We took half home.

Chocolate cake was classic.

Honestly, food-wise, Gianni’s isn’t there to push boundaries and deliver artistic plating, it’s exactly what you want a steak house to be: classic, hearty and delicious. We would 100% go back for sure.

Service-wise, there’s definitely room for improvement. We found it odd that the oysters came late considering it was one of the first things we ordered and the servers are generally not as attentive as other steak houses we’ve been to.

I definitely enjoyed my night there.

The servers were always refilling my glass.

It's pricey in my opinion, but worth it.

Maybe they'll establish a rewards program? Discount Tuesday?

Besides it being a bit tight-spaced I was very satisfied with my evening!

Gianni’s is always the choice for my husband and I to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just to grab some of our favorite delicacies. We’re never disappointed with the food or service, it’s world class all the way around!

My wife and I had an excellent time here. The food was well prepared and tasted great. I had the 16oz New York strip cooked medium. They cooked it perfectly. My wife had the Salmon and that was excellent as well. The hash brown dome with cheese and sour cream was fantastic!

Bottom line: Gianni’s is a great place for a romantic date.

The food was exceptional. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked 8 oz filet mignon and the salmon with sides of their asparagus and potatoes papallete. Everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully served. Portions were generous. The Papallete is a must. A half portion is plenty for a table of two.

We also enjoyed their Old Fashioned. It’s a classic for sure.

So why not a five star review? While the restaurant offers a welcoming and comfortable vibe, and some high backed booths, we were seated at a table for two in the bar section. This area was very crowded and offered no social distancing options. My chair was in the main traffic pattern with a couple of guys who had too much to drink and apparently lost their volume control.

We appreciated the fact that servers were masked. Our server was both friendly and attentive.

Even if we weren’t in the midst of another major wave of Covid, I would have been disappointed in how tightly packed the tables in the bar area of the restaurant are as it undermines the otherwise intimate dining experience.

Recommendation: if you make a reservation, specify that you want a booth.

If you find yourself downtown Wayzata and steak comes to to mind for dinner, you’re in luck because Gianni’s has you covered. Put it up against any of the steakhouses downtown. Classic but not stuffy, this spot checks all the boxes for me. The bar is legit with great selections and bartenders that are master at their libation creations. Great wine list. Friendly, high touch point wait staff. And oh my the steaks will have you coming back soon. Be prepared to spend a little money, but we’ll worth it for the value.

The food her was delicious!!! This was our first time eating here. Our server broke down the menu to us concerning the specials, his favorites and what was a popular selection. It was our anniversary so they bought a slice of chocolate cake that was so delicious!! All around wonderful experience. We have been telling our friends how much we enjoyed our dinner. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly and so appetizing.

Gianni’s is a rare gem and also a Wayzata favorite! Gianni’s is one of the restaurants that becomes a special occasion night simply by dining there.

I will start with the bar staff. The knowledge, expertise and welcoming vibe is the best that I have encountered. The bar staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and have a well oiled machine under the leadership of the bar manager Patrick.
Patrick and his staff are welcoming and genuinely interested in their patrons which attracts a festive and loyal following.

The vibe at Gianni’s is both elegant and casual at the same time…a very difficult ambiance to curate. The food is always exquisite and beautifully plated with, attentive and yet unobtrusive service. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the dining experience which feels like a well executed seamless production.

I highly recommend Gianni’s for a date night, week night, special occasion or a casual HH with a friend.

Awesome! Birthday dinner steak wascooked prefect had a head of rosted garlic that was delicious but a little messy. I had the special of scallops with a butternut puree to die for. The weather was rainy with snow hopping to take in the carrage ride but the weather was awful for man and beast.

The best place to eat at. I ordered the NY Wagyu and lobster and the steak was phenomenal. Highly recommend trying this place out at least once.

Giannis is something special. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The scallops were also perfectly prepared. Highly recommend the papalette. The service was warm and friendly and the food was heavenly. We will be back!

Great staff well run clean 👏 of course Great food

Went here last week for restaurant week with my fiance for the first time. Amazing service, great setting, delicious food. We had the Filet Mignon along with the Lobster tail, the table spun salad and mashed potatoes. Came hungry left satiated. We were seated immediately despite of being 30 mins early for our reservations. Can't wait to come back!

Of the many times my family and I have eaten here we have NEVER been disappointed and it has quickly turned into one of our favorite restaurants. It’s crazy that they have some of the best tasting Lobster bisque I’ve ever had anywhere in the country. The dining experience inside the restaurant is a touch better than on the patio but that’s to be expected. Will definitely keep coming back.

Good food and service. Nice patio. Dessert was devine. Prices are high, but commiserate with a high end restaurant. Parking can be challenging to find on the street. There is a free parking ramp at the rear of the restaurant. Sides were rich (consider asking with less salt and butter).
