This is the real deal. (I’ve been to Texas😃)
Brisket is soft and so flavorful and plenty of it.
Chopped brisket sandwich was great. I loved the mac & cheese. Chili cheese fries had brisket on it and hubby loved it. Great value for money. Can’t wait to go back again.

I’ve lived local to this place for months and have always wondered what the food was like, today for lunch I decided to drop it. Walking in, the outside doesn’t seem like it’s much, but inside is a warm welcoming atmosphere with a nose punch of incredible Smokey flavors. I decided to get the combo with Brisket that was tender, ribs, and sausage. Everything is bursting with flavor, well cooked, and authentically made. The Mac and cheese is Smokey, and spicy, but if you like the heat it’s to die for! This food was very good and left me definitely wanting to come back.

Five stars for the food. Don't judge a book by it's cover, the place looks run down. Only one bathroom in a separate building, but it was clean which is important. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Counter service and super friendly staff. It was a beautiful day, so we ate outside at the picnic tables. I will definitely be back!

Being originally from the Midwest and Southern states, finding good authentic brisket has been hard to find...but not here. Roch marbled meat, good smoke flavor. Ribs so tender they fall off the bone. Tasty sides...and don't forget the cornbread. Best coleslaw around!
Take a few minutes to go enjoy a bit to eat in the rustic atmosphere or grab a to go order on your way home.
You will not regret it.

Ladies and gentleman, please stop here if you want to have the best BBQ Texas style, better than Texas for sure ;)
We had 1/2lbs brisket, 1/2 rack of ribs, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried okra, please try the okra! It fed 3 people really well. Will definitely come back

We’ve been coming here for a long time. At one point, my order contained the wrong quantity of brisket but as soon as I addressed it with them they made things right immediately and I appreciate that very much. We will keep coming back. Best marbled brisket in the area!

I've come here many times over the years, sampled the menu, the sides - but I keep coming back for the ribs. Those ribs. I've had BBQ all over the country, and these smoked ribs have never been beat. And almost every time I've been in the dining room - back in the day when that was commonplace - Bill the pitmaster has always come in and asked me how I was doing and if I was enjoying my meal. No sauce necessary - just great cut of meat, rub and smoke. It falls off into your mouth, and you believe in the nobility of humankind once again.

Due to COVID, traveling and visiting restaurants have been something hard to come by. This is a rare gem of a space with plenty off outdoor space and vaccinated worker and employer. I am glad to find this place out of a random search for burger. We end up getting Texas bbq instead which is much better

Our hiking spot is about 5 minutes drive from this place and it was easy to find off the route. Just be careful coming down the road because sherif is parked nearby for speeders. So don't drive too fast for you hungry folks.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and there are 75% empty benches outdoor. Parking is not an issue except for those having decision problem because there are so many.

To the food!! We got two combo due to decision issue and fries and potato salad. Combo has a mix of short rib, sausages and brisket. Portion is a small but great for the waist line right!!! Brisket is a little dry but it's decent enough. Right is top of the line. This place can sold out of stuff so be patient. We walk away pretty full after this order.

Price is reasonable. I love the wood bench and paper towel. Sorry we ate all the food too fast to take some pictures.

The best bbq around! Feels like a little getaway to Texas with the ambience. I promise you the food with not disappoint. Don’t forget to try the cornbread and fried green beans when you finish your brisket sandwich or the sampler platter

Authentic Texas BBQ spot right next to Magazzino Italian Art space. I tried the three meat combo with ribs, briskets and chicken. All the meats are very tender, and the sauce is great too. Service is very friendly. It was a great experience.

We had lunch here after a morning hike at Hudson Highlands State Park. The place does not look like much but the foods were incredible. We ordered 1/2 lb of brisket (marble), 1/2 rack of ribs, a pulled chicken sandwich, a side order of potato salad and one corn bread to share between the 2 of us. We are bjg eaters. The meats were done to perfection. Sauces were provided on the side so we could control how much would go on the meats.
Although the place is far from fancy, the service was great. You order inside and pick up outside. There were plenty of picnic tables for outdoor dining. The man who called out my name to pick up the order sounded terrifying but he was actually a sweetheart. He came out and offered a small plate of brisket for our dog. Another man, presumably the owner or manager, came out to ask how our foods were.
A port-a-potty outside for customer use was the only downside. But overall this was a great place to visit!

I’ve passed this place so many times not even realizing it existed, so I finally stopped in and got some ribs and brisket. It was pretty good you can really taste that BBQ smoke flavor in the meat and they’ve got good sauce. Sides are pretty good too by far the best jalapeño Mac and cheese I’ve ever come across. Prices are pretty fair and they have outside seating if you would like to stay and enjoy your meal. Recommend it sometime if you’re someone who frequents route 9

The ribs melt off the bone, Smokey, delicious BBQ. Brisket is insane. Little jalapeño in the Mac and cheese sets apart from traditional. Ate the plates cleaned and my Texan friend gave it the seal of approval as well.

You come here for the food, not the ambience. I'd imagine sitting in the backyard is quite nice, but it was 100 degrees on the day that we went, so we sat inside. Next time we'll likely either sit outside or get takeout. In either case, the brisket was wonderful, the bbq sauce was on point, the ribs were great. You can order fatty or lean cuts of whatever you get (I got fatty). We'll definitely come back, the food was excellent and the prices were fair.

I have to admit that I am not a texas bbq fan (I particularly am more of a carolina bbq fan), but they do a good job of what texas is known for: burnt ends. The meat I got was to actually supplement other things I wanted to make at home, Brunswick stew (chicken and sauce) and Ramon (brisket). Both were really good, so the quality of meat brought alot to both dishes.

The cook and cashier were friendly. The food portion was big. We had Fried okra and we like it.

While this place may appear Bohemian with the kitchen in a trailer adjacent to a barn with tables where the smoker is also located next door the ribs here are not sauced and are tender fall off the bone tasty, slightly hot (spicy). If you are a rib fan, you must try these ribs. They also have chicken and Frito Pie if you like that and an assortment of sides including Mac and cheese. They have Lone Star Longnecks.

It doesn’t look like a Texas Roadhouse chain restaurant, but trust me, be brave and go in. Great place for hikers and bicyclists. This is an out of the ordinary place, for the curious and adventuresome. Great example of Hudson Valley culture.

We had 2 combos:
-Brisket and ribs
-Brisket and sausages
-sides: cole slaw and mac & cheese

I really enjoyed the food here!! By far the best Texas bbq I had in New York. We spent $50ish total. Not the cheapest food to grab for lunch, but there were 4 of us, and that breaks down to
$12ish each. It was a manageable cost.

I would recommend this location to my friends and family. If you wish to visit Cold
Springs or Beacon ny, Round Up is a must place to stop by for a tasty meal:) I was personally very satisfied! I would definitely return.

Unique rustic bbq restaurant. It’s no frills, has great bbq and a certain charm to it. Well worth checking out when in the area. Repeat customer and will be back again!

The place looks like an old barn from the street, not overly inviting but the inside was old school BBQ joint style and the food was spot on if you love Texas BBQ with a true smoke taste. My wife and I had the Brisket, Ribs and Chicken and it's didn't disappoint. We also got the Mac n Cheese that had a little kick to it but was yummy and the coleslaw that was just ok. The gentleman at the counter gave us a free piece of cornbread that was really good and added to that southern hospitality even the owner made his way over and asked if we enjoyed ourselves, WE DID! Will go back again for sure...Had so much we brought some back to my son who is now going to go back with his friends to try it right out of the smoker.
