Never disappoints. Even in bad weather the sculptures add to the ever changing landscape 🎨🖼.

I like how you can rent a bike or hop on a free tram if you don't feel like, or can't walk the entire area.
There are so many sculptures on display that you should really spend the entire day here discovering them.

Their Cafe serves lunch & they have an impressive menu, & the food happens to taste just as good!

This is a beautiful park with amazing views of the Hudson River and Hudson Highlands across the river. The park is very popular and on weekends could be overcrowded. There are several access points:
1) from Mountains Rd (small parking 5-7 cars top) closer to Storm King Mt.
2) off highway 218 at Cornwall (Esty & Hellie Stowell trail-head, large parking) – closer to Storm King Mt.
3) further to the south along 218 there are two road-side parking area near the Stilman Spring trail (41.42627, -73.98341 and 41.42583, -73.98135) – this is the closest to the Hudson river and North Point summit:
4) two side road parking off 9W -41.42307, -74.00094 - 20-30 cars at least – here you can chose it is in between Storm King Mt and North Point
5) and smaller one at 41.41496, -73.99363 - this one is close to North Point Summit.
There is also a trail coming from Storm King Mountain School on Mountain Rd, but I am not sure whether you can park there.

There are multiple trails some of which are fairly challenging and some are narrow with a fairly steep drop down :). There are a few unmarked trail that lead to a various interesting rocky structures and cliffs but you need a map to understand where you go. At the time I was there there were no sources of water at/near Storm King Mt. summit. Dogs are allowed on a leash but some trails could be challenging.

I absolutely loved this hike! Its gorgeous at the top and you can see so much from the summit. It's a fairly easy hike but I would *definitely* bring some sturdier shoes and expect to climb up a bunch of rocks. If you want to do a longer hike that is possible too but it's great for moderate hikers and those who have a bit more experience too.

Beautiful views, and very well kept. Definitely a challenging hike, but one you can conquer. Stay hydrated, take plenty of pictures, and bask in the view atop.

This was definitely challenging hike via the storm king trail which is about 3 miles, though it is listed as being 2.4 miles on AllTrails. The trail is quite rocky in the beginning with large boulders to climb up with little spaces to place your feet to push yourself up. If you can make it within the first 30-40 minutes of the hike then you’ll make it out. As for parking, I recommend getting there before 10-11AM as the parking area only holds about 30-40 vehicles and it gets crowded in the afternoon.

Rugged hike. Trails not well marked, but nothing google maps could not correct. Superlative views to be had for those willing to make the trek.
Caution, if you fall in some places it is a long way down

Embark on a moderately challenging hike with stunning scenery and a few buggy spots.

It’s beautiful all year round. Beautiful views. Tranquil. Never crowded. Multiple trail options. Always find parking. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Splendid views, great hiking trails...
Be prepared to spend a few hours.

In a backpack with wide straps bring snacks and refreshments but do not ever eat while actually hiking/moving

Wear comfortable shoes with good support. I recommend actual hiking boots. Wear layers that you can take off if you begin to get warm or visa-versa.

Be prepared! Map your general (I recommend My Maps) route and set it up for off-line access in case there is no connection. Make sure your mobile device is fully charge and bring a battery pack for all day trips.

All NYS parks are public parks and free of charge.

This place is gorgeous. Incredible landscape, peppered with fascinating sculptures of all shapes and sizes. We unfortunately went on a day with bad weather, but the experience held up. Pay a visit, and bring your student ID!

I love Storm King! The view from the summit is incredible! A difficult hike; lots of rock scrambling, but when you work hard to get to the top, you’re awarded with the view.

Difficult to find parking but an incredible hike. Nice family hike, but tough and rocky terrain. The fall foliage and views from the top are amazing.

As the name implies it's a great storm king mountain! A great hike for a family. Try the mountain road entrance if the 9W parking lot is full. But only park in the parking area not on the road. They will tow your car away.

Cant believe that this was a 1st time visit and we live so close! Just beautiful.
Trail map I had was unclear and our short basic hike turned into 2.5 hours of bootcamp! Definitely plan your hike better . Will be back for more though!

Beautiful, easy to find, and clean. It's a challenging hike for a beginner. I did not make it all the way to the top this time but I will be back to try again! Even without making it to the top the views are breathtaking!
