Le Bouchon

My wife and I stopped here on our way back from a hiking trip upstate. It was such a homey, warm place for being a mere few train stops north of the city. We enjoyed the food, fish stew for her and the lamb burger for myself; a good ice cream with profiteroles and chocolate to top everything off.

We had dinner and wine this evening. The mussels, cheese , crab cakes and wine selection were amazing. We closed out our tab and told the staff we were headed back to the city. My husband left his credit card at the restaurant and our kind and amazing waiter rushed to the station to return it to us. We are forever grateful and had such a nice time in Cold Spring. 😍

I had an absolutely lovely working lunch here. The escargot were so big and tender. They melted in your mouth. The bread is unsurprisingly crusty and so chewy and tasty. I tried the special soup and special chicken which reminded me of a piccata without lemon. Absolutely divine. The sauce was silky and smooth. The chicken tender and full of flavor.

Special shout out to the wait staff though. They were hands down some of the sweetest and nicest wait staff I've dealt with recently. Checked in on me the appropriate amount and had a nice conversation about random things. Very nice

An absolutely stellar meal, with lovely service, in a charming atmosphere.

My partner and I came to Cold Spring for a quick getaway, and basically walked right off the train and into this restaurant. It was well past lunch but not quite dinner, so we were the only people in the place. The staff was very kind and the food was just incredible -- rich but not overwhelming, satisfying without overstuffing.

We had recently gone to a different restaurant that was the epitome of "trendy": new, crowded, and colorful; rushed, loud, and serviceable. Le Bouchon felt like the antithesis of that.

I don't remember the last time that my partner and I both scraped our plates clean, so that felt like the photo that's worth uploading here.

Wonderful service, food delicious and cooked precisely to order; wine suggested by waiter (he even let us taste test), best I've had in a long while. Atmosphere great, just hated the linens (or I should say polyesters), and the condiments were served in plastic containers, ick. I'm picky.

I would definitely recommend someone to try out this restaurant. My first impression was the escargot. That was the first time in my life trying snails. It really impressed me. They tasted so delicious. I would definitely order it again. Also the mussels tasted good and came with a big portion. The only thing I didn't really like was the seat. We were sitting under the red light that made us feel really uncomfortable. It was really dim as well. Please don't choose the seat if you don't like the light. It will definitely affect your entire experience. Other than that, it's a great restaurant.

Had lunch here after Breakneck Ridge. They’re understaffed but staff was friendly. Menu has a variety of options, great for anyone! Steaks were good for the price.

This is a fantastic, delicious place to eat for lunch and dinner! The service was great and the food was so good. We loved it after a day of walking around town. Yummy food for a reasonable cost!

Le Bouchon, a charming bistro serving French classics like cassoulet in a cozy, red-hued room or outdoor garden setting. This gorgeous Friday afternoon we decided to take the convertible out for a top down drive probably one of the last times this year. Cold Spring was our destination. Cute little town located about an hour north of the George Washington Bridge. Not much more than a few mom and pop shoos and a handful of restaurants. There is also a spot next to the Hudson with gorgeous views. We wanted some seafood and to eat it outdoors. Brasserie Le Bouchon was perfect. We enjoyed our meal in their back patio seething area. For a small town eatery… the food and service was great, way above average. Also had a great conversation with Michael, one of their servers.

We ordered:

1x Grilled OCTOPUS with chorizo special.

1 x MARINIÈRE (for her)
Mussels with white wine, parsley, shallots and garlic.

1 x ESPAGNOLE (for me) Pictured. Mussels with chorizo, white wine and red peppers.

Drinks were… Unsweetened Iced Tea, a glass of Sangria (don’t recommend) and a couple glasses of their house Cabernet. Not too bad.

Very delicious food and awesome service here! The staffs here are welcoming and friendly. I lost my glasses here and everyone here helped me to find them! They're so kind! And I love the Steak Au Poivre!

A hidden gem. I had never tried cassoulet before. This duck, lamb, and pork sausage rendition was delicious. Our two appetizers, a plate of quail in a mushroom sauce and tartiflette, a potato bacon and cheese ensemble, were both outrageous. I loved them. My mom's scallops were delectable though she wasn't impressed with the risotto, and my sister seemed to like the sea bass and mashed potatoes. Her shredded brussels sprouts were incredibly flavorful.

DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS!! A perfect place for a little date night or to feel up your tummy after hiking. A must try! Everything was absolutely tasty!

The food is awesome, Restaurant is very cozy and the staff is extremely friendly & attentive.
We’ve been there a few times already and they will not let you down.
Already looking forward to go again!!

I love French cuisine and this place didn't disappoint me.

Everything was great,  especially creme brulee with espresso.

Definitely I will be back if I will be in the area. By the way,  Cold Spring is beautiful in every season.

Delicious food and awesome staff. They have a great location here in Cold Springs, and the entire restaurant is so comfortable! The food was excellent, and Mike was a wonderful staff member. Will definitely come here again!

Went to Cold Springs for the Bull Hill short loop trail and after that we ended up having lunch at Le bouchon. Steak Frites, steak tartare, creme brulee, escargots, beer Omegang Abbey and service were excellent! And a walk around Cold Springs after that good experience! 100% recommended!

Friendly staff, clean place. This was our first dine in experience after the lockdown. Everything went well, the staff was very careful with customers and they were of course wearing masks. We also ordered some sangria and beer; everything were delicious 😋 thank you Le Bouchon!

Good bistro French food, tasting quite authentic and reasonably priced. Quite a lot like a French neighborhood restaurant and thoroughly enjoyable. But I'm French, so maybe biased?

Delicious meal, charming waiters, fresh homemade bread with butter, charming waiters and nice ambiance. I found what I ordered, French Onion soup, goat cheese tartlet and crème brûlée delicious…paired well with attentive, handsome servers.

This is my second time here and each has been thoroughly enjoyable. The wait staff is patient yet attentive, friendly without being overbearing.
