Could not have had a better dining experience! First of all, Patricia is a STAR. All the staff were attentive and caring, never a glass-half-empty. She went above and beyond with our meals and we were able to order steamed clams off-menu. The house bread was divine; we ended up boxing the leftover bites. Service was impeccable and you can't beat a view of the sunset on the river. We were also celebrating a birthday, but since we didn't opt for a dessert, she brought over a little bowl of whipped cream with a candle for the birthday girl to make a wish. Really appreciated how special everyone made us feel. Can't say enough good things! And prices were very reasonable considering location and ambiance! Thanks for having us; we hope to dine again soon!

Hidden gem off the beaten track of downtown Cold Spring. Cash only restaurant serving up delectable dishes and fine cocktails. Great affordable price point. I had Cucumber gazpacho andbthe mussels and rock shrimp dish. Both were excellent. Our server Ryan was the best! River view from the river room. Parking available.

What a delightful find! Riverview had a charming ambience and neighborhood feel to it. There is a lovely separate space for the bar and another area for dining and river views. Interestingly, there are a plethora of specials in addition to the menu. I chose the clam and mussel chowder (delicious) and pork roulade with polenta (also quite good). I accompanied this with a dirty martini followed by a glass of French Pinot noir. The staff were very pleasant and helpful when asked. Sole suggestions include taking credit cards and upping the olive game for martinis :)

Food tasted so good after a hungry and sweaty day hiking on the castle rock trail. The complementary bread was sooo good, it was so chewy and has the perfect touch of salt and herb. Got the cod with curried vegetables, clam linguine, and tacos. Really loved the chewy pasta and the plump and juicy clams.
Only complaint is that the tacos said it was pork belly but in reality it was… bacon.(reason for 4 stars for the food)
Regardless the staff was so nice, they offered to catch the moth that kept flying around us (but we just said to leave it alone). Cash only but you can venmo if you don’t have cash

The restaurant has a very good vibe and river view. The appetizer is tasty. Main dishes are delicious with daily specials. We also ordered tiramisu as dessert and it is the best. The waiters are kind and friendly too. Only drawback is that the only accept cash and check. However, ATM is available on site and the fee is reimbursed.

Beautiful space right on the Hudson River! Great atmosphere, soft music, low lights, and most importantly the food is amazing... Even just the bread that comes before the meal is delicious. I had mac and cheese, classic dish but so good here with added mushrooms and baked to get a nice crispy top and the servers were all so friendly! Instant favorite

Had a great experience in this place! Amazing service! Our waiter recommended me a nice sparkling wine. Which I loved! We had a tasty pizza and fried calamari. Everything was great! Servers were nice and friendly! And a great view to the river and mountains🥰 Will definitely go back to this place!

As local, it's one of our favorite spot, we like the pizza, really good, and we got Thai stew soup. Cocktail and drinks are good. Bar is cozy a'd friendly. Beautiful view on a river from terrace.

I visited the restaurant on Wed, 1/29/2020 with my wife for lunch and was very satisfied with the service, ambiance and food.

Once I arrived I was greeted by an elderly gentleman who I believe is the owner. He gave us a table facing the Hudson River and the mountains. Even though we had to be indoors due to the cold temperature we were still able to enjoy the view. The area is really quiet, it’s the perfect place to spend the day and take a break from the NYC rush. Our waiter Manuel was very friendly and attentive.

For lunch we ordered the sirloin burger and the Basilicata pizza and shared both. (They we’re about $15 each). Both were very tasty. I had 2 draft beers (about 6.75 each). Since I live in NYC the prices are reasonable but it may be a little expensive if you live upstate.

As other reviewers have mentioned they don’t accept credit cards but they have an ATM machine and if I’m not mistaken they will reimburse you the $2.00 fee. I brought cash so I didn’t have to use it.

The super cute family-owned restaurant is filled with beautiful people who welcome you like someone is welcoming you at your home.

My husband bought me here while we were driving around cold spring to celebrate our engagement anniversary. We came here only for a pizza but we stayed for the desserts and we were so happy about our decision. We tried fungi pizza that came with mushrooms and spinach - the taste was very subtle and the crust was so good. It almost felt like we were eating a naan pizza. Naomi suggested we try tiramisu and it was soo good. She bought us a tiny dessert-tasting platter that had Gianduja, Keylime pie with yummy raspberry sauce, Egg Nog creme brûlée (so delicious), and Semi sweet chocolate mousse. We are surely going back! Also, if you go around sunsets you can enjoy your dinner with a very beautiful view.

Also, this is a cash-only place to carry a lot of cash and if you don’t have then there is an ATM in the restaurant.

Very nice food, some food are more Asian like (e.g. the seafood stew) but they are delicious. Does not have a clocktail menu, but the bar table has pretty much everything to make a drink you want.

Wonderful food and staff! I have eaten here many times, everything is always topnotch! And they handle special requests with grace and ease!!! Food, Staff, Ambiance, Views - can't be beat!! Reservations are always a good idea, also they do not take credit cards... They do have an ATM.

Very nice experience! The staff were warm and welcoming. They accommodated our group of 8 with separate checks. And most importantly.... the food was excellent! However, they only take cash or checks. They do have an ATM.

A must visit for a sunset dinner with a view! Also very dog friendly and great staff! Highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan!

Good food, cozy vibe and nice view (stay by the windows) and i loved their complimentary bread for starters most especially 😍 so fresh and well baked! Also, the servers were attentive always asking how I was and refilling my water.

Absolutely amazing food with a wide variety of options (pictured are the Caribbean beef skewers). Excellent wine choices, great service, world class view of the Hudson River.

This is a cash only establishment and make a reservation (phone or online), especially for the weekend dining crowd (you'll need it).

This is definitely the best restaurant in Coldspring, I think it might be the best in the Hudson Valley and I'm certain it could hold its own in any five star restaurant in New York.
If you are in Coldspring and want to treat yourself to some really good food this place is for you!

Great view outdoor restaurant. You are right by Hudson River and amazing view of the mountain. Perfect for after long hike. The food are very good. We had brisket. Absolutely delicious and melts in your mouth. Cod fish was nicely done. If you are going to cold spring for hiking definitely stop by.
