Hudson House River Inn

We ate lunch at the restaurant on a busy spring Sunday afternoon and the staff was so fast and kind. We had just finished a hike and had our nine month old with us—they put us at the perfect table, a high chair was there instantly, and before we knew it we had fresh rolls in front of us to take the edge off our hunger. The service was so good. What a team.

We just had a wonderful memorial luncheon here. The Inn is a very old hotel and the rooms confirm this. It has a charm all its own, only to be found in the Historic Cold Spring. The food was awesome. We had a party of 20. The food was delicious every plate was hot when served. The horse radish mashed potatoes where a crowd favorite we ordered additional!. The management was attentive and flexible. Our Server was spot on and very busy. The only thing that we would have changed is having more than 1 server for a large party, She did an excellent job, our service was not harmed in any way. However it just seemed just to much for one person to handle. Our service in no way lacked, only concerned that the server herself could have used some help. I highly recommend, food was very yummy. So good I was actually surprised.

Had an amazing experience here. The staff was so nice and friendly. The only regret I had was not being able to try the cookies they left out. We went to grab dinner and on our way back to the room they where gone and they looked so heavenly. If you see the cookies grab them don't wait until after dinner 😂😂😂. But the staff was super kind and made us feel comfortable. We where a little worried because the crowd seemed a lot older than us that we would feel out of place but they made us feel welcomed and treated us great

Had a phenomenal time at this hotel! The staff were incredibly nice and generous, especially the Manager Mike, all of whom treated us so kindly the entire time. We enjoyed ourselves so much and can't wait to book another trip here again

We had a lovely stay at the Inn and we enjoyed a great meal. Lindsay waited on us and she was warm, friendly, and helpful. Craig was the innkeeper on duty and he was also very pleasant and very helpful. We will be back!!

We had a delicious lunch two days ago. The dining room is lovely, the menu is interesting and the wait staff is welcoming and attentive.

Was there for my birthday and I swear it was an unforgettable gastronomical experience next to the Hudson River. From the wonderful starter dishes to dessert, everything was perfect.

My husband and I took a day trip to Coldspring, walked around and had a few drinks to explore the village. Mike at Hudson House was wonderful, he was so welcoming and made me a delicious Gin martini, we talked all things Ferragamo. Great drinks and great conversations!! Thank you, Mike!

As a native Texan I have had my fair share of margaritas but Debra at Hudson house has made the best margarita I have ever had! Thank you Debra.

I stayed here with a friend in October 2023 and loved it! The staff was friendly and helpful, the location right on the river and close to shops on Main St was amazing, the rooms were comfortable (I had one with a balcony - having a screen door was unique and cool). The food was amazing and the drinks, oh the drinks. Debra is the most amazing bartender who makes signature cocktails that are to die for.

Me and my wife love this restaurant, beautiful views of the Hudson River, great food and super friendly staff!

I've come here a few times, always with friends and usually for brunch. The food is delicious. We always opt for bottomless Bellinis which are just as delicious as they are refreshing. Everyone here is so nice, the service is on point and the atmosphere is perfect. I recommend this place for a nice relaxing brunch where you can indulge in good food and good moments.

Restaurant: tasty and creative drinks for before and after dinner (though the drink special seemed watered down?). Steak was tasty - not NYC steakhouse good but cooked to what we asked for (medium rare) and a good ratio of cheese to seasoned steak. Patio seating right by the river away from the hustle and bustle of downtown made for a great dining environment.

Inn: Charming, updated rooms! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean with basic toiletries included. Great location - views of the river from our room, a quick walk to downtown Cold Spring, and 5-10 min drive away from local hiking trails. Breakfast is served from 8:30-10:00 AM as an FYI for anyone else who likes to hit the trails early

The rooms are no frills. I liked how they felt old though. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The view of the river is amazing.

I’ve probably had around 5 amazing meals at the Hudson House. It is one of my favorite places to visit when in Cold Spring. The wine and cocktail selection is impressive and they have great apps and entrees! I love the Maryland crab balls and I’m a fan of their salmon and citrus salad. The margarita flatbread was a great app for our group and my husband really liked the burger. Eating here on a beautiful spring day with a view of the Hudson is truly a treat!

The popovers with that strawberry butter is amazing! The Angus Burger was perfect in everyday. My mother's salad was huge and delicious. The service was fantastic. The decor is charming, and the views are outstanding, it's the Hudson, how could it not be nice?

Recently moved to the area, came here for dinner with my family. Best meal I have had in a long time, no exaggeration. From the bruschetta to the short ribs to the cheesecake, everything was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Did the tasting menu for Hudson Valley Fall Restaurant Week, and it was very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of the food, ~$60 per person with 3 solid courses and a glass of wine.

We had a wonderful lunch at this inn. We were greeted and led to a perfect table by the open door..allowing the beautiful breeze and view to join our table, which added to the start of a perfect dining experience. The staff was amazingly attentive, the food made to perfection, and our waitress, Debra , could not have done anything more to make our experience more delightful. She was pleasant, emphatic about the menu, and very attentive to all of our requests and questions. We even let the manager know that his staff were just wonderful..he too was delightful and happy to hear about our experience. Do not go to Cold Spring without having lunch or dinner at Hudson House and Inn !

Excellent dining and great food. Nice location near the water.
