Great spot for brunch! Delicious sandwiches and the curly fries, omg! Prices were a little steep but might be on par for Cold Spring. It was a great place to stop after a nice hike.

Visited the café during a day trip from the city per many friends’ recommendations for brunch. While we had to wait a little over an hour, it was worth the wait and we had time to do some shopping in the meantime. I tried the eggs with fig & prosciutto which were delicious. We ordered the babka French toast to share and really enjoyed it as well. I’d recommend it as a sharing dish since it’s very sweet.

Arrived in Cold Spring before my friends and decided to grab some breakfast before a hike. Stumbled upon Hudson Hills restaurant as they were open early around 9 AM. The brunch was amazing! My feta, spinach, and tomato omelet was one of the best I’ve had. I also enjoyed the coffee and home-fries. Will visit again!

My family had finished a hike, and would always come to this place for lunch. The food always hits the spot after a long hike and is such a good place to eat at Cold Spring. The only downside I had this time was that the homemade chips were very burnt and didn’t taste very good. But the curly fries never disappoints and is so good. All of their sandwiches I had are delicious and so flavorful.

Tasty and well executed dishes in comfortable and casual setting. Friendly service. I got the egg white omelette with vegetables as well as the fish tacos. Both had great flavors. The wait on Sunday for lunch was about 20min, so we took a stroll around town, and it was relaxing. The use of text chat to inform us of the queue was nice.

*Great Food* *Service could have been better* *Cute Building however they've outgrown the tiny dining area*
The food wasn't very hot/fresh but it was absolutely delicious & tasted like it was fresh, we came on a Sunday so what do you expect?
They have a very popular following so a larger dining area makes more sense however they have a very old and tiny Building which is cute but they're losing lots of business because of it we almost said forget it however we waited almost 1.5hrs to be seated because we enjoy good safe food.
The service was ok, could have been better however they were very busy so I wouldn't hold that against them.

What a great experience! Was so delicious. Very hard to find good biscuits up north and they have great ones! I got the egg dish with a side of biscuits and was so good. Also tried the grilled cheese with apple which I didn't think I'd like but was absolutely amazing. Also fast and great service.

Quaint and beautifully detailed architectured establishment. Their food was fresh and satisfying. I had the codfish tacos, and it was airy and crunchy and well portioned. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Service was well timed.

We went on a Saturday and it was great! The service and food were very good. My family and I enjoyed the food a lot. I got the eggs with prosciutto, fig, arugula, green apple and home fries and it was so delicious and satisfying! The portion was also fairly generous. We also shared a tall stack of the gluten free pancakes which I was impressed with - they were very fluffy and similar to non gf pancakes! I had a buttered spiced cider rum which was very tasty. We were very pleasantly surprised by Hudson Hil’s Café, worth a visit if in the area!

After a fairly intense hike at Breakneck Ridge, my friend and I stopped here for lunch this past Saturday. I've been here a handful of times before, initially at the recommendation of a chum who grew up in nearby Garrison, and it's always very good. This time, it was great. I warned my friend that this place often has a wait, especially given that we stopped by at 1PM, dictionary definition lunch time, and that we should prepare ourselves for a 20- to 30-minute delay. Nope - we were seated within three minutes inside. For what it's worth based on past experience, the porch seating outside is excellent as well - it has a very nice, rustic B&B vibe with great viewpoints of the main thoroughfare that lend to some excellent people watching. It was about 90 degrees at the time so it might not have been SUPER comfortable if we had been seated there, but we would have done so without complaint.

I was famished after climbing a mountain, and ordered the Biscuits & Gravy ($17.95), which came with eggs and country potatoes. Delicious. There may be a SLIGHT bias here since I think food always tastes better after you've climbed a mountain and earned the subsequent calories, but why shouldn't this place benefit from that timing? The gravy was perfectly thick with what looked to be bits of Canadian bacon, the scrambled eggs were moist without being watery and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. I demolished it, but don't think that means the portion was meager - it was a very generous serving. Suffice to say though that I didn't eat again until the next morning. My chum got the country-fried steak and eggs and also enjoyed her dish. Despite climbing the same mountain, she actually did have leftovers to bring home for later.

I've had mild issues with the service here before, but this was an absolute pleasure; a well-oiled machine. Our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Our food came out within 10 minutes, and I noticed the same was true for nearby tables. Every time she came through our area, you could see her quickly appraise each table for potential issues and check in where necessary, with no wasted movement. We both got glasses of tap water, drained them immediately, and without any conversation about it, she just brought a water bottle over to our table. Intangibles. Along those same lines, the busboy was attentive and proactive in clearing off our table (arguably a little overeager but negated that by politely asking if he could take dishes off before doing so). I was initially pleasantly surprised by the lack of a wait, but with that kind of service, the tables are going to turn over pretty quickly. Restaurant/hospitality 101.

The only negative that occurred during this experience wasn't even Hudson Hil's fault - during the three minutes we waited outside for a table, we saw a dog wearing crocs and couldn't get a decent picture of them. That one is going to sting for a while. You don't always have great eating options after a hike, much less a mountainous one. This is an absolute gem that's less than five minutes from the Breakneck Ridge trailhead - take advantage of it.

I got the omlettes option for breakfast which comes with a 3 egg omlette with 3 fillings of your choice, country potatoes and toast. The omlette was really good and generious in terms of fillings. Definitely recommend this spot for a nice lazy brunch.

Update: came here again and got Fish tacos and Salmon burger. Both were alright.

The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I would quite honestly drive the hour Cold Spring is away from my home just to eat here again. I ordered the Fig and Apple Grilled Cheese, and my friend ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and we split them. The sandwiches were just divine, and the bread they were made on really made them taste even better. If I could give this place a 6 out of 5, I would. Service was good as well. This is hands down the best choice for places to eat in Cold Spring!

We came in to this place without any expectations and we got reworded with a very good meal.

Let's get it out of the way first. This place is not like the places in the city which you can time by the seconds hand on your watch. The waitress is going to move slower than you may want. But the at is the charm of the place. They want you to sit back, take your time, chat with your friends and or family while your food is lovingly prepared and brought to you.

My family ordered the following:
1) Eggs with Figs and procieuto for my wife.
2) Midium rare steak with egg for me.
3) Kids burger on an English muffin.

My family was very happy with the meal. My child ate the entire burger and asked for slice of my steak to top off. My wife's food was very yummy as well. She promised to come back next time we pass through this area. For the price and the experience, I give this place an 'A' grade. Would have give an 'A+' of the watres was able to get to our table a few minutes faster. But I am somewhat not picking.

Recommend to bring g family and kids.
They have a kids menu.
Not weelchare accessible.
Street parking only.
Bathrooms are clean.

When you look up the definition of "quaint" there should be a picture of the Hudson Hill's Cafe.

It's in "quaint" Cold Springs NY on "quaint" Main Street...and when I say Main Street, think... MAIN STREET, USA...Not too far from Walt Disney World style, but with lots more flowers and trees.

The food here...nothing short of phenomenal. I'd highly recommend the grilled cheese with apple slices and fig jam. The veggie burger was equally good. Both came with homemade potato chips.

There's only about 25 tables and more than enough servers to make sure you're never waiting. Food came out hot, quick and tasty.

Definitely worth a revisit.

A local gem! I've been here twice and the fact that they have frequently varying brunch specials is amazing. This time around I had Cowboy Omelette with jalepeno cheddar biscuits. Holy cow! Delicious! In the beautifully quaint Cold Springs. Will stop by everytime I'm in the area for sure.
