Kowabunga Comics

Excellent local comic book shop that also teaches you how to play card games like Pokémon. I've come here at random times the past couple of years and the staff has always been inviting and helpful. The selection of new and back issues are amazing! This is a great place- I highly recommend it!

Overall, the best local game store in the area. Great atmosphere with very friendly/helpful staff. There is always a wide array of products at good prices.

This is not just a comic book shop. It's huge and has tons of content for different audiences and all ages. Sells toys, video games, costumes, plushies, regular books, and more IN ADDITION to comic books. The place also hosts all sorts of competitions (i.e. pokemon).

This place is great. It reminds me of the mom and pop comic shops of my youth. Everyone here is so helpful and friendly!

This is more that just a comic book shop, they have figures, Warhammer, collectibles, cards and more. Their comic collection is extensive though! If you missed a back issue they probably have it. I was visiting from out of state and stopped by and highly recommend checking this place out.

Wow, Eric went above and beyond to help us find the perfect gift for my father despite not even getting a sale out of it. He was so professional and patient during the entire process and steered us to something else he knew would be a better option. This is the sort of customer service and professionalism that is hard to find these days. What a great guy. I would highly recommend checking out their store.

Absolutely worth stopping in here! Huge comic/collectibles/nerd shop with at least a bit of everything for every collector. Cards, books, weeb stuff, video games, graded slabs, modern, vintage, ultra rare, signed, etc etc.

Staff is very pleasant without being weird or overbearing. The building itself is awesome MCM/studio architecture. A+

A great spot to visit on your day off. I always stop by to look at comics, buying ones that catch my eye so that i can one day display them and build a collection.
I always come by a couple times each summer or whenever I’m back in town.

I just stumbled upon this place and it’s easily one of the best comic book and geek stores I’ve ever been in: Super helpful staff, very clean and organized and they even hold events for board and war games! Definitely will recommend to my friends

Huge comic selection, lots of collectables, more board games than some board game stores, and neat classic video game consoles and accessories! Priced very reasonably.

We stopped here on our drive home on a lark, but were extremely impressed by the selection, and the friendliness of the employees. The prices seemed fair, and it was a pleasure to browse. We will definitely visit again when we're in the area!

This is one of the best comic book stores I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot! Love the huge collection of comics, but also action figures, art, video games, and the list keeps going on! I'm not close to here at all, but I always try to go out of my way to visit every now and then. The staff are always super helpful and fun to talk to. If they don't have what you're looking for, you probably don't need it! :)

I was in the SE Wisconsin area and had some time to kill before going to a friend's place, so I picked up my sister and went to some local comic shops. This was one of our stops.
I was impressed with their variety and stock. They knew what they were doing with prices as well, as they were competitively priced. Some of the older comics were a bit high, but they are a shop and can get away with that.
Overall, if I were in the area again, I would definitely stop by and get some hard to find back issues from their inventory.

Coolest experience at the shop 30 before closing. We were looking into Magic The Gathering (MTG) Cards. The manager was excited to teach about the cards, especially game play. He asked my son his tastes and if he had ever played. Never had played, he offered my son with these special starter booster packs (probably from Magic to offer to newbies, but beside the point, we might have gotten all he had. ) We matched him and bought a beginner deck this special this and that. Guy introduced himself, welcomed us to stop in and watch game night and see how it all goes down. Now we are learning this game and it's cool, like back in the 90's when it was big. Oconomowoc hits it big with this comic shop that looks to me carries the rarest of rare, and wow that magic setup of card boxes was impressive to say the least. The first time we checked it out there were tons of books of the animes my kids watch. Great selection of books. By the way lead the revolution, we could a got packs and books from the big circle but, buy local if you mean it!

First time here, and there were so many things to look at. I felt like the kid in the candy store, and enjoyed rummaging through the boxes for some great finds to add to my collection. Not exactly close by as I live in Milwaukee but next time I’m in the area, will definitely check it out again!!!

Hands down some of the best customer service I have ever come across!! They are friendly, knowledgeable and the selection is top rate! My son and I stop in every time we are in town!

I'm not super into comic books but our children love coming to this shop to buy Pokemon cards. The staff is exceedingly friendly and the atmosphere is nostalgic. Definitely check it out!
