Wedl's Hamburger Stand & Ice Cream Parlor (Winter Menu Only! No burgers)

Great hamburger joint! We stopped by early on a Saturday and didn't have to wait to order. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The burger lived up to my expectations: simple, but effective. Loved the cheese curds and onion rings, too. Really helpful and friendly staff. I want to get back to try their fancy shakes (and another cheeseburger).

Great little seasonal hamburger stand right outside of a custard shop. Big flavor for such a small stand. Right in downtown Jefferson, about 10 minutes south of the Johnson Creek I94 exit. I had the triple cheeseburger and fries, it was super good and I would definitely eat there again. Quick and friendly, they handled a pretty good lunch line quickly and efficiently. Awesome burger.

This place has been open for 105 years!! Simple but good burgers and fries. The ice cream sundaes are something to behold! They have dozens of sundae options on the menu: fruity to chocolatey and everything in between. Very friendly service and homey atmosphere. There's a map showing the visitors from around the world. Make time to stop here for a legendary experience!

Great little local corner spot for delicious fried food and ice cream! They have a great variety of burger, fish and chicken sandwiches along with a full assortment of ice cream flavors and fun shakes! Great stop for a birthday with their fun shakes!

The pumpkin pie shake was delicious! Also had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, which was super good! Cheese curds and fries were really yummy, too. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Classic at its best. Simples burgers and fries served out of a tiny kitchen that is smaller than my ice shanty. Open from spring to fall, the burgers are always amazing.

There is usually a line but it moves fast and is definitely worth the wait.

Limited seating but a nice touch is the bin of blankets to lay on the terrace and have a picnic lunch.

I had read about Wedl's Hamburger a while ago, and finally was in the area. So glad I stopped! I had a double cheeseburger. It was very good!
The stand is very tiny, located right on the corner. So fun to see it!
They have a medium-size indoor facility with a very large outdoor patio, and also have a good amount of green lawn space to sit while waiting, or to sit and enjoy an ice cream cone.
I was very lucky - I parked and was immediately able to order. After I paid, I turned around to realize there was now a line of 4 people behind me! I am told there is usually a line of customers. 🙂
It was a very fun experience, I recommend it.

Great little booth with delicious food and kind helpers!

Took my granddaughter for ice cream, and the girl working had the patience of a Saint, cause trying to let a (just about) 3 year old pick out her own ice cream was a Road I didn't realize I was gonna be taking a trip down. Very interesting trip I must say, and the girl kept smiling, and didn't seem annoyed at all!!

Great menu of hamburgers and also other sandwiches and soup. Food cooked outside in historic enclosed building. Seating available inside in another building . Also ice cream cones available inside. Restaurant closes for the season in October and reopens in the Spring.

Best burger I have ever had! The cheese curds are delicious too. We love their ice cream sundaes too. We drive over a hour to get dinner or lunch here..its that good!!!

I love this place. I wish I could get the recipe for these burgers during the winter time. I unfortunately don't come to the area as often either.

An experience worth the effort. 3 friendly people cranking out food in a glorified street side box. You can watch them make your food. I enjoyed a double cheeseburger burger with onion and added the pickles available by the condiments. A can of orange crush completed this dip into nostalgia. The fries reminded me of that place with the arches, but I have not eaten there for about a decade. The burger was enjoyable. For such a thin burger it has its share of grease. I had never seen a burger schmeared on the grill before.

This place is so fun! The hamburgers are delicious. They are in the style of White Castle and I love that. My daughter had chicken strips and they were very good, they seemed to be homemade, not just taken out of the freezer and dropped in the fryer. And don't forget the ice cream. We had frozen malts on sticks made in paper cups. They were so fun and tasty!

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid back in the early 80s. The burgers can be compared to White Castle, but they are bigger in circumference. Plenty of other food as well, and there’s ice cream! If you’ve never had it, try the Blue Moon ice cream, you won’t be disappointed!

Everyone knows this is a great place for a burger but Wedl's also has the best homemade pickles! Thin, nearly translucent slices of salty, sour flavor. Put them on a burger and eat them on the side. My mouth waters just thinking of them!

Family owned vibe. Large selection of food for what looks like the tiniest food stand. We enjoyed a meal and then ordered ice cream after. Satisfied with everything. The staff was incredibly friendly and also seem to work together well as coworkers. This is a hidden treasure in Jefferson. The prices are reasonable. You can sit on a bench, on a patio area, or inside a small dining area. Set up for everyone

Ayden M greeted us with a smile and offered stellar service. Order was taken promptly and swiftly. Food was made to order (except to wait). Food order was all made correctly and tasted great. Loved having the blankets to sit and have a picnic lunch. Ice cream for a treat afterwards. Or treat yourself to one of their special ice cream sundaes in the glass jar and have them rinse it out to take home as a souvenir. Only thing I would say is, maybe some umbrellas for your patio tables to protect from the hot sun during the summer. Staff was good about cleaning up and checking the trash cans. Highly recommend you stop!

Tasty little burger stand! The burger patties are small, so a double was more like a single, and the single was more like a snack. So tasty, we would definitely go back!
