Parkside Aquatic Park

Nice neighborhood spot to bring my toddler to run around on the grass or sand. The playground was fun for him as well and quite empty the days we went during the weekday. They have BBQ pits and tables also with a nice view of the bay. The whole place was clean and well maintained.

Great little park along the water. There are picnic tables and bbqs to use as well. There is a play structure and a large beach area. The parking lot is quite large and I've never had trouble finding parking.

Beach area was nice and quiet. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and playing on the jungle gym. Seagulls were intimidating, but we put one of the kids on seagull patrol, so that helped keep them away. :)

Great weather. We had my niece baby shower. Great place to have a gathering. Kids played in the water. Great view.

It’s a small park with a nice beach and a small jungle jim for the kids. People like to paddle board and canoe or kayak. Adequate restrooms for the amount of people who come here. The only draw back is May and June the geese show up to have chicks and it gets quite littered from goose poop.

Nice place to visit on a weekend with family and friends. You can swim in the lake with kids and enjoy water sports. Indulge in paddle boating and kayaking.
There are picnic tables where you can do barbecue. Children can play in the sand or enjoy the slides in the play area. The place is very relaxing with breathtaking views around the lake. Bathrooms are clean, parking is insufficient specially on a weekend.

I always had good experiences when I visit that place. Especially whem I want to BBQ! Fantastic !

A nice place to relax with kids. Very neatly maintained with clean washrooms. A small sandy area and water to play in for kids and also there is enough space to put your tent and relax through the day.
Very little parking space so it gets filled up pretty quick. Will have to park around the residential area and walk.

Great park. Nice clean beach, lots of kids playground to play on. A couple of picnic tables too. Not too much shade, so bring your own.

Came here for the first time this week and returned a few days later. Even though I live in San Francisco, I don't mind driving here to enjoy the serene, clean trails and views. Took a run along the shoreline and took advantage of the staircase to get some extra cardio in. Views are beautiful. Parking is ample. Bathrooms are decent. Will be back for a run or Bike ride and may bring a picnic lunch here to enjoy when the weather is nice. The dog park looks amazing. Haven't seen one that big. Excited to bring my dogs over to see how they like it. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere, lots of duck poop and plenty of security.

This is the perfect little park to enjoy a dip in the water. There is an area marked where you can go splash around or swim. There is a small play structure (best for little kiddos) that is surrounded by sand. We enjoying going to this park bc it's like having your own beach day without driving to the coast.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my both Nephew 's Birthdays. The park is kept very well. We were able to BBQ and everyone had a great time playing. Thank you San Mateo Park's and Recreation.

Relaxation great for just a couple or even for the whole family

Water is from the bay, not very clear but not dirty. Children can dip in. Pretty small and peaceful place. In came here in a hot day and it was comfortable. NorCal don't have many hot days.

Great place to paddleboard before noon when the winds pick up.

Loved this little lake. My first time visiting with family. Perfect for a small group with kids. Grass area to set up a picnic and sand area to set up for a play day at the water. Water temperature was great, not cold like other lakes. Beautiful view. The lake was not deep, so I loved it because my son and nieces could play in the water w out going to far in the deep end. Tables and grills were not available because of the corona virus but the grass area was great to set up blankets and sit under the trees that provided shade. Weather was great. We ended up spending 10 hrs there. Will definitely visit again with the kids.
