Tipsy Cupcakes RVA

If you've never been to Tipsy Cupcakes, add it to your bucket list "immediately." Before I even ordered my cupcake(s) I felt at home with the warm environment, music, vibrant colors and that personal touch of customer service. Even though I purchased a couple of cupcakes, I could only eat one tonight. My pick was the Marble 151 Surprise: half chocolate, half vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing, chocolate drizzle, rum and a cherry on top! I could smell the deliciousness before I opened the box. So rich, so moist, so good! When you walk up to the store. You see this beautiful pink and green building. You have to put on your mask. You have beautiful ladies to serve you. They let you know which cupcake have more alc. Then the other. We had the henny chocolate and strawberry shortcake vodka. They was so delicious. And me and my friend. Found they cupcake to be so good. And we definitely was tipsy. I would definitely recommend this too others. They did id's us. So don't they you going to get a cupcake with out showing your idea.

I went into this cute and quaint establishment and was amazed by these Tipsy Cupcakes! This was my first time visiting and definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed speaking to one of the owners of the business and felt her passion for what she did. I wish these ladies much success. Also, the twisted strawberry shortcake jumbo, 99 apple cinnamon and crown carrot cake was super good!

The workers were extremely nice and explainded everything to us. The jumbo cakes you can not eat on the property because of how much alcohol they contain. I am not really an alcohol person, but they did have one "virgin" cupcake which was a chocolate salted caramel. It was amazing! It is a little smaller, but it is more moist and cheaper than some other cupcake places in Carytown. My friend got the jumbo margarita one and said that it was very good. I saw people eating food like wings and fries which looked great, but I did not eat them so I can't confirm.

Made my way to Tipsy Cupcakes in the last day they were open and I'm so glad I did! Peach Belini was good but the boozy Eggnog cupcake is like none other! Also the gaint vodka infused Strawberry Shortcake cupcake will definitely be missed.

These are the best cupcakes I've ever had! Alcohol infused cupcakes is such a creative idea and this place executes it well! We got the pineapple paradise, cookies and cream, carrot cake, and the jumbo twisted strawberry. The cupcakes themselves are super moist and flavorful, and the alcohol flavor itself complements the flavor of the cupcake without overpowering it. There is a bit of a wait between ordering the cupcakes and receiving them, but the wait is 100% worth it, and the employees are super knowledgable and nice. I highly recommend this place over Carytown Cupcakes (even though they are also good!)

It's been years since I've had a cupcake from here and the first time having them fresh from the store. We went during Covid-19, an hour before closing so there was a tiny bit of a wait outside till someone came to the order window. So as a heads up you do need to order from outside you cannot enter the store right now. They also had a decreased menu availability also due to the pandemic. We had been hoping to get a virgin cupcake for our little one but again an hour before closing they were out. Which we understood. The server we ordered from was pleasant, professional and nice to chat with. I got a tipsy pineapple upside down cupcake and my partner got a drunken chocolate cupcake. There was a few minute wait as they freshly iced our cupcakes. I will say there is a mouthfeel that tells you the cupcakes have alcohol in them but they isn't that a harp shot sort of bite to it. The cupcakes are extremely moist and the icing is very sweet though based on taste spiked as well.

My two favorite things fused together beautifully: cupcakes and tequila. I had a margarita cupcake and it was absolutely delicious.

I am so glad I got a chance to try Tipsy Cupcakes. Ive been waiting to check them out in the new location. For the Yelp event, There was a specific list of flavors, and you got to pick 1 virgin and 1 spiked cupcake. I chose the virgin strawberry shortcake. It was delicious; I just wish I had 2 more.
And the surprise menu item.. vegan strawberry shortcake.... I was so excited to try it...and it did not disappoint.

I will be back for sure.

The cupcakes are DELICIOUS! These ladies know what they're doing. The customer service is EXCELLENT! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT 🙂.

Very tasty cupcakes, the alcohol is not overwhelming. Cake and icing have a great taste. My cupcake fell apart as i ate it....so be ready for a mess that is worth it. So glad I stopped in this establishment. The shop is very cute. The cupcakes are beautiful to look at.

These cupcakes are honestly delicious. I know their specialty is alcoholic cupcakes, but their virgin cupcakes are equally as amazing. I'm not a huge fan of alcohols in my desserts due to the taste of the alcohol itself, so I tend to gravitate towards the virgin cupcakes. However if you like or don't mind alcohol in your desserts, you'll love these cupcakes! I still enjoyed those as well.

These are the best cupcakes me and my boyfriend have ever had! We got the Large Strawberry Shortcake cupcake and it was delicious! They ice the cupcakes to order and the icing as well as the cupcake is delicious. No overpowering taste of alcohol and they were a nice sharing size as well and very moist! Would highly recommend.

I absolutely loved the cupcakes! I had strawberry shortcake and patron margarita. Very flavorful! You can taste the liquor but it doesn't overpower how good and moist the actual cake itself is. The liquor def sneaks up on you! Def 10/10😋🥰

One of the best experiences ever! I'm always excited to see what new flavors come out, and they pretty much have a flavor that suits everyone. I'm a wine drinker and I love the Red Velvet Moscato!!! Not only do you get a sweet treat with a kick, but you get QUALITY service too! The owners are always smiling, very welcoming, and are VERY accommodating. They have gone out of their way for me numerous times!!!! I'm excited to see what they come out with next!

Wow! These alcohol infused cupcakes are amazing. This was my first time ever trying them, and the flavors were definitely presented perfectly. It was a very warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere and experience.

My GOD i literally cried tears of joy when i took my first bite of the strawberry cupcake. i usually don't leave reviews but this one deserved it. Everything was just right with these cupcakes no complaint. the flavors they have really tasted like what they are named. the owners are very nice and very informative. such a great treat for birthdays, holidays, events, or anniversaries. they even make them virgin for the kiddos as well. im very impressed and will be back for the next "tipsy" round! We did not buy anything since there were no virgin cupcakes left. It was a few minutes to closing and we were just in town walking around Carytown and decided to stop in. Service was very friendly and she gave details on all the cupcakes she had in stock. If we are back in the area in the future, we will have to stop in early to try out the virgin cupcakes since we do not drink alcohol. The cupcakes looked delicious.

This place is a diamond in the rough. The owner is the one who actually helped us, while there. She was super nice and super patient with our trillion questions and our indecisiveness! The cupcakes were delicious. They were moist and very flavorful. I will definitely be a returning customer!

This place is by far the best cupcake spot I’ve ever visited! My favorite is the Twisted Strawberry Shortcake! If you’re ever in town and have a sweet tooth give them a visit or you’ll regret it!
