Pirates Cove Coastal Cottages

We really enjoyed our stay. Only stayed 4 nights. Would love to stay longer. The owners were very nice and gave great recommendations. Very clean and spacious. Close to everything. Will definitely return. Great restaurants near by. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed here recently for our anniversary.
It was our first time not only to Pirates Cove but to Cedar Key.
We immediately fell in love with the vibe of this cute cottage resort and felt like family right away!
Our cottage was perfect, private and backed up to the water which had such peaceful views all day and night on our screened in porch. Our dog came with us and she loved that porch and the town as well!
We rented a street legal golf cart for our stay that you can rent right on site and that just made the experience even better!
We can't say enough about our visit and still talk about it!
We wish we could be up there this weekend for the seafood festival! Maybe next year and would love to have that same cottage!

Very quaint and pretty. The cottages were nice and well equipped. The deck was a wonderful place to sit, watch the birds, the tide come in and go out and contemplate how similar it is to the ebb and flow of your life. We are looking forward to a return trip soon.

The owners were great and showed us our room! Room was very clean and roomy. highly recommended!

Unit #9.
Room was a very quaint one bedroom/one bath with small living/kitchen dining area. The "decorator" did very well with the furniture and decor. The kitchen is well stocked right down to paper towels. Same with the bathroom - ample toilet paper and tissues. Furniture fit very well in the unit and was comfortable. Very important to us was the WiFi. Very fast with no dead spots. The location was great. Very easy transit to Dock Street. We parked in the public parking lot which basically puts you at the center of anyplace you want to go. Easy walk. We understand that the owners bought Pirates Cove five years ago and I'm sure they have had to do extensive renovations to bring it up to acceptable standards. I've had extensive experience in this area as a real estate investor and I know what it takes to bring a well used and popular property up to acceptable standards. They are doing a great job and I'm sure this venture will be extremely profitable for them and serve them well into their retirement years.

This was our first stay in Cedar Key and we found a gem of a place. The owners were as advertised, very accommodating and gave us a lot of info about what to do and see while in Cedar Key. The cottages were very cute and well taken care of. We certainly would stay again if/when we come back to CK.

We stayed at Pirates cove for a friend's 50th birthday! We had cottages 1 & 6. Very clean, and perfect views of the water. Beautiful layout. Peaceful courtyard. The owners are very friendly, and are available for all your needs even if they're not on-site. They show up within minutes. They also have great recommendations for things to do. Don't forget to rent a golfcart as well. We will be returning with our family in the near future! ❤

This place is awesome, as are the owners! Had a great time with my sister, and we can't wait to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pirates Cove. Lisa and Brian were wonderful and helpful at checkin. We were visiting Cedar Key for a short getaway for our anniversary and enjoyed our stay in Cottage #1. Lisa wasn't kidding when she mentioned the area was pet friendly. We traveled in with our pup and was able to bring him to several places we visited while there.
We will be recommending Pirates Cove to friends and will stay here again!

I booked 3-4 weeks in advance and got the last 2 nights available for the month of May (Wed.,Th.). As mentioned by many previous guests, Brian and Lisa were both friendly and wonderful hosts. Their Website gives a very accurate description of the property and all of its amenities. (Hope to see you both again.- Jim)

I've been coming to Cedar Key for years...and have finally discovered Pirate's Cove Cottages...WOW!!🏡🏝 What an adorable place!! So quaint and peaceful. Very clean and nice...I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else! What a blessing to sit on the porch and watch the sea birds on the cove. Brian and Lisa are so sweet and helpful. Can't wait to return next year, God willing!

Quaint cottages nestled along the water, the grounds and cottages are very well kept. The owners are extremely helpful, kind and always with a smile. We had 2 cottages for a party of 8. Lovely time, everything very clean & exactly as stated.
I will suggest to anyone not aware of the island life their are mosquitos and "noseeums" everywhere on the island, as it is on most islands. Be aware, bring deet spray and citronella candles for night entertaining outside.
We are already planning a trip in February. Thank you good folks for an amazing trip

I loved my stay at Pirates Cove! We stayed in cottage 5, it had a beautiful porch with amazing views of the water. The cottage itself was so cute, coastal chic, comfortable and clean. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful Vintage Cottages! We stayed in cottage #4 which was perfect for us with a screened in back porch overlooking the water. Very clean and everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Brian and Lisa were the best! Our first time staying but they made us feel like family. Highly recommend!

My husband, our dog and I stayed at this wonderful charming cottage in Cedar key Florida. It was a surprise trip for me and when I got there I still didn’t know where I was because I had never heard of it. Well you are all missing a little slice of heaven if you haven’t seen Cedar key Florida. And what a wonderful place to stat—Pirates Cove Cottages. The cottages were charming and immaculate, partially renovated but was told it’s an ongoing process. The owners welcomed us as if we were old friends! Brian gave us a thorough lowdown of Cedar Key and it’s 10 local restaurants, no chains of any kind. Pirates Cove Cottages has a cute little courtyard with Astroturf to avoid mud, bugs etc. which they kept clean. They left you alone as much as you wanted or would be involved in anything you need. We will definitely be coming back! And did I mention our dog Ringo enjoyed it just as much!

Brian and Lisa were amazing and their place was beautiful and clean we stayed in cottage #7 the fishing right off our deck watching the sunset from our own screened in porch. I highly recommend staying there but you need to rent the golf cart also definitely made it easier getting around and their is so much to do and things to see. You need to go to the twisted cow and big dock bar and grill. And have breakfast at 2nd Street Cafe food was great and reasonable.

My wife and I needed a gettaway while we worked remotely. We booked through AirBnb, though one may also book directly. There are 7 cabins. #s 4,5, and 6 are 20’ from mangroves and mud flats. The other cabins are just behind these and have access to the docks over the water. We stayed in #4 and really enjoyed it. The cabins are only about 600 sq ft plus a porch. Bring binculars and a power strip (if you have multiple electronic devices). While working on the screened porch, we watched roseste spoonbills, ospreys and herons, and a tarpon swam closd to the shore at high tide. We walked each day into town, following recommendations of the owners, Lisa and Brian, who are super communicative and helpful. Check-in is from 3-6, with Lisa and Brian personally present to help. There’s plenty of larking along the road. The area is very safe, and the noise from traffic is very low. We highly recommend a stay of any length at these cabins. They are a much better deal than a hotel room.

This is a great place to stay on the island. Brian and Lisa are great and everything you need is here. We stayed 4 weeks in cottage 5. Amazing deck with water view and perfect distance to walk downtown or the whole island. We loved this place because our friends came in and stayed in other cottages and the common grounds were perfect for all of us to get together.

Had a family vacation here. Our family rented out all the cottages and had a blast! The cottages are exceptionally clean. The courtyard is beautiful and a great gathering place. We loved fishing and the kids loved trying to catch the crabs and playing by the docks with a beautiful view. The owners/hosts, Brian and Lisa, go above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. The place is perfect and I can’t stress enough how much our stay was enhanced by the hospitality of Brian and Lisa. We will be back and I will be bringing more people here just to experience it with us!

This is a great place to stay. The exterior and the grounds and cottages are nostalgic old Florida - very quaint and charming. The interiors have been completely updated and are modern, comfortable and clean. The owners are great hosts. The views are spectacular and you can walk to everything if needed. Pirates Cove and Cedar Key are like a step back in time - no fast food places, etc.
