We went to the 60th Annual Cedar Key Art Show. We were lucky enough to
Score this rental because every where was booked. ( April 6-7) Let me pass along to you, advice given to me: if you're planning on attending the 61st Art Show? Book your room now.
Our unit was fabulous. Sparlling clean and fresh. A ground level 2 bed/2bath. The decor had to be professionally done! It was so adorable. Seahorse theme using colors like seafood green and ocean blues. LOVELY.
There were seahorses on the walls, nautical lamps, towels and linens in blues and greens too. All this and a great water view too. The unit is waterfront so we watched the boats and the fishermen, we watched the sunset and it was glorious. This owners provided
Everything. Down to wine stopper and champagne stopper. Every kind of bowl or dish you would need to serve a group.
Every convenience you can think of!
They had it there for your use. So thoughtful, convenient & generous. Thank you . The door had a modern security lock that was keyless. Just punch the 4 digit code in. Easy. We had a wonderful time. And I want to thank the property management team especially. Julie knocked herself out to help us find a ground level since my husband can't do steps. And whatever my question was , she responded right away and that kind of service is rare.
Thank you to all and I know we'll be in touch again. Mary & George Ridgway

Our view was amazing. The property management was excellent. The unit we stayed in did not have cable, the owner refused to get it. Only TV is Roku channels. Very frustrating when you want see local weather before you book fishing guide. Rent any other unit but 102, you will have a wonderful time.

This was our third visit to Seahorse Landing. All the units are two bed/two bath and have large covered decks facing the gulf. The kitchens are fully stocked with pots and pans, dishwashers, and the ones we booked had washers and dryers. The sunsets never disappoint.

My review is favorable, but also frankly honest. I like it enough that I definitely plan on staying here again this year. No place is perfect unless you're paying megabucks, and I'm not even too sure about that. LOL

We stayed in #302 at Seahorse Landing, renting through McCormack Rentals. The view is absolutely wonderful, and we've stayed in this unit before - 3 times now I think. It's a 5 hour drive for us, but makes a nice, relaxing 3-4 day escape.

PROS -
** The view, hands down. Sunsets are glorious.
** The price on this unit is a little less than some of the other units.
** Kitchen is well equipped.
** Internet is sufficient for us to do some work if we feel like it, and good enough that we can usually do a Zoom with the family.
** Hot tub! Pool was cold in April so I didn't use it. But when I was there last summer, I'd go from the hot tub to the pool, and so forth.

CONS -
** It could really use a screen door to the balcony because otherwise you'll get bugs inside if you leave it open for the fresh sea breeze. We spent a lot of time on the balcony reading, talking, using our iPads and enjoying the view at the same time.
** I couldn't get any of the deck windows open and one was actually duct-taped shut. This may not be much of a concern unless you'd rather have fresh air than air conditioning.
** Unit is a little dated, but then they all are & Cedar Key is a little dated itself. That's sort of the point of going there, right?
** Could use a new bed. It's not awful yet, but I'd say it's starting to be a problem if you have back trouble. But the twin bed I tried one night in the other bedroom was nice & firm.
**No major grocery stores. Either stop in Gainsville or Chiefland and haul what food you think you need with you & just hit one of the 2 little groceries for what you forgot - or - plan on eating out a lot. Seafood place is decent. We thought one of the little restaurants was a real rip-off. Two coffees and two fake grilled cheese (bread toasted & cheese nuked in microwave) for lunch cost us $36, not counting tip, which I thought was ridiculous and it certainly didn't taste like real grilled cheese! LOL

BOTTOM LINE - We like #302 in Seahorse Landing. We plan on staying in this unit again later on this year.

PS - Cedar Key is an island so as far as cell phones go, T-Mobile signal is not strong and most of the time I could only make phone calls or get texts in the bedroom - not that I was on the phone more than once a day. No reception at all on the balcony. Other carriers may have a stronger signal.
Our iPads & laptops worked fine with the internet.

Clean, friendly, a very beautiful spot on balcony for sunsets, great view, stocked with all dishes needed in kitchen, had some games and books around, clean & clear pool, awesome private dock right there to fish from, very roomy for the 5 of us that stayed. We had a young child, a teen and 3 adults had plenty to do in and around the area.

We love the Seahorse ...and we are in Cedar Key a lot on long weekend fishing trips! The staff is fantastic & very attentive. I’m writing this review in particular after sitting in the lobby for that very reason. Check-in is at 4:00 & around 1:45 I can off the water early (the waves were super choppy & I was a bit unseaworthy today). Because the condo we rented had been previously occupied by a large group it was still being cleaned so we couldn’t check in early. No worries! They sent down extra cleaning staff & the manager even jumped in so they could get our condo cleaned in record time for me to rest!!! You’re not getting that kind of care at any chain place! And that is Cedar Key’s Seahorse 🤗
...oh yeah, it’s right on the water, private dock, great pool & hot tub, fantastic views from every condo, etc. Did I mention the wonderful people there? ❤🤗😁

We stayed at Seahorse Landing on May 3rd weekend and loved the unit. It was very spacious, was wonderfully decorated, had a LARGE balcony with an amazing view out into the Gulf, was in a convenient location to walk to restaurants & shops, and I would return without hesitation to stay again. The manager, Brittany, was a joy to interact with and we loved the way we were welcomed & treated during our visit.

We had a great weekend in #503. The view is amazing from the kitchen, living room, and the porch. Close enough to shopping, restaurants, and bars but far enough away for a peaceful experience. We highly recommend this place!!

Room 401. Arrived Friday eve. Car died. Staff at front desk went out of their way to help us. Rose in office spent alot of time locating a golf cart (it wad after 6pm).The manager Celesta (who was already off duty) took her husband to pick up a golf cart and bring it to us. She even offered to lend us the cash if we did not have the cash on us. She also offered to drive us to pick up our car on Monday (2hour round trip). These people are amazing. The condo beautiful, clean. Will definitely come back!
