Island Place Condo Rentals

This our third year at Island Place, and our second in #111. We weren't sure what to expect post-Idalia but the people here have done a tremendous job putting things back in order. #111 is beautiful, better than last year! Landscapers are busy every day planting new greenery all around the property. The pool has a new deck. Stores and eateries are back in business (except the grocery--plan accordingly). The people here are friendly. We love being here and are happy to spend money so that Cedar Key will be made whole again

Very well kept. Great location in Cedar Key. Awesome views of the gulf from the balcony overlooking the water. We plan to stay here again when we come back to Cedar Key.

We rented condo #111 thru AirBNB & it was magnificent! The entire complex is very nice & pet friendly. We spent a lot of time on the well appointed deck. From there we watched the beautiful sunsets & dolphins play. (See pics taken from deck) Heron, osprey, egrets, & pelicans were frequent visitors to the shoreline right in front of our deck. Our dogs were constantly entertained! The interior is impeccably clean & I'm very picky! And I loved the shower! I never say that when I'm away from home! There are a lot of towels & even special towels for removing makeup. It was so nice to have the washer/dryer. You can pack less & you don't go home with a ton of laundry to do! What a bonus! And I can't forget to tell you that this condo is beautiful! They've repainted since they posted their pics online & now it's a relaxing beachy light green. Granite counter tops & the perfect decor too. Dock St. & 2nd St. are the two places to hang out in Cedar Key. I was surprised by what an easy walk it was - much shorter than it looks online. When booking, the owner was awesome to work with. Everything was great so we didn't need her during our stay. I feel certain that you'll be as impressed with this condo as we were!

Two things you should know... a lot of the restaurants & bars close by 8 or 9pm. With a population of less than 900, the only grocery store in town has a limited selection. So stopping to shop in Chiefland or Gainesville on your way through would be a good idea.

If you're looking for a quiet town at the end of the road to enjoy good company, good food & drinks, & a lot of natural beauty, then Cedar Key is your place.

We stayed here in the summer of 2001 as part of a surprise celebration for my late father's retirement. We had a great time. I brought down my tandem folding sea kayak and was able to take my father for a ride in it---I believe it was the only time. My entire family rent a few rooms here, believe it was three and it was a very special time. We cooked some here as well as ate at quite a few of the many local restaurants and visited several local sites like The railroad trail and the shell mound archaeological site as well as just strolled around town.

This is a wonderful place to stay during your visit to Cedar Key. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The pool is nice and the views from every balcony is outstanding. Pet friendly too. You only get one parking spot but you can public park next door.

We always stay at Cedar Key, this time we stayed at the Island Place- it/they were AMAZING, CARING AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE KIND STAFF, AND THE FEONT DESK. We have stayed at the Presidential Suites in Orlando, St. Pete, Palm Coast, Miami and numerous resorts out of state. The Island Place out did everywhere we had stayed and paid an insane rate (1500.00) a night was the highest rate we had ever paid for a Presidential Suite and this place out did them in every way by far! I promise you they are out to make you feel amazing and cared for!! Recommended 100%- you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you to everyone there for making us feel like We were Literally the only guest❤ I’ll never stay anywhere else again but here. Take a trip to Cedar Key and stay, if you don’t you are truly missing out:( Thank you all again for your hospitality!

Wonderful place to stay in Cedar Key. Went with another couple, had a 2-bedroom
condo overlooking pool. Staff very helpful.

Always stay in 104. Clean and nicely furnished. Nice pool area. Convenient to Dock street restaurants.

This place is great. Our condo balcony view was directly on the bay. Complex located next to the main restaurant and gift shoppers, walking to and back was ez. The fishing pier has a walk out great for sun rise and sun set photos. Nice pool with loungers and umbrellas. Parking for 1 vehicle only. Will go back soon!

The condos are really well cared for and very clean and quiet. The views of the gulf are lovely and the staff are super nice and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy. You can walk to downtown just one block away! A great place to stay while in Cedar Key.

The condo is is always very clean, supplied with everything we need to cook,clean,do laundry and is right on the water with a beautiful view from our awesome patio. Just a very small request....a softer mattress

We love Island Place! A great family atmosphere, beautiful views, great location near everything, and yet peacefully tucked away. We will be back!

Each condo is individually owned and you can preview the decor, see if it is gulf facing with the balcony or only a side view and whether it is pet friendly before selecting a condo. We've stayed in 2 different ones and have been pleased both times. The location is great as you can walk to everything in town in 5 minutes. Only drawback we've encountered is that it is very tidal and if a sea creature washes up and the office is closed you have to wait until the next day for clean up which makes your balcony unusable.

Absolutely perfect. Highly recommend that you stay here if you are given the chance.The places need clean and very well organized
My room that I rented unit 210 has a beautiful view of the gulf of Mexico from the deck
I enjoyed my breakfast sitting on the deck just looking out over the gulf. I managed to see a few dolphins swim by in the distance.

Best place to stay. Relax at night on the balcony listening to the water under you.

The condo is Very Nice with a Great View (unit 315). It was Clean & the staff were very friendly & helpful. If visiting here, a Golf cart is a Must! We had a Blast Exploring this small island. It's very Quaint & you need an island time vibe. No fancy outfits or makeup needed... shorts & tshirts are All You Need! People are Super Friendly here, Other guest & Locals. If you want a Relaxing Time... Cedar Key is Your Answer! FYI... Wifi is Spotty here, you may have it here & there, but Let your hair down & detach for a weekend! Have Fun & Enjoy Small Pleasures in Your Life!!! Your be in bed by 11 pm... 😉

The best place to stay on the island. Condos are fully equipped, rooms are kept clean, they are always accommodating and they are there to help you if needed.
We have been staying there for years and have always been completely satisfied.
The staff and Management are always friendly and helpful.

My husband and I spontaneously took a trip to Cedar Key from Tampa. We didn't make any accommodation arrangements in advance, so when we got to town, we called The Island Place. It looked inviting and sat right on the Gulf. "Rose" was very friendly and asked what type of condo we were looking for. She set us up with a 2nd floor Gulf view unit. The condo was absolutely quaint and very clean. It was decorated nice and felt very "homey." We parked in the lot at the condo and walked to Dock Street (where most restaurants and night life is). Cedar Key is such a nice little town. We really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back -- and will DEFINITELY stay at The Island Place again.

We went for a weekend of boating and this location was perfect. Our condo was clean and enough room for 2 couples. We enjoyed having the pool. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
