The Tipsy Cow Bar & Grill

Stopped in during a first time visit to Cedar Key. Joel was our server. Super friendly and checked on us several times. Seemed happy that we were enjoying the food...like it gave him joy himself. I had the mac & cheese brisket burger. All I can say is i wanted another but was too full. We ate outside watching the dolphins and boat tours. Clean restrooms and fast fresh service.

Dog friendly bar/restaurant that is adheres to the health department and safety regulations. Welcoming local staff that work as a team to make sure guests' needs are met. This is what you may consider maybe a scenaey dive bar ( but up high so be prepared for stairs) but perfect place for fresh BBQ shrimp skewers and frozen cocktail to watch boats dock, birds, pelicans,dolphins and seagulls while taking break from shopping local owned artists and specialty shops. Tip well to assure we keep these restaurant workers survival since experiencing such infrastructure loss of Idalia in Aug of 2023.

Service was excellent. Food and views were amazing. A fun menu to read. I had the Cluck Norris sandwich and it was cooked perfectly.

Burger was awesome. It was busy so food took a while but my server on February 10th was very nice and attentive to me and my friend. Love the decor. I don't know how they keep that single bathroom clean but kudos to the staff.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary in Cedar Key and had lunch at the Tipsy Cow while we waited to check in. My wife had the chicken wings (hell’s garlic) and I had the blue burger. The burger was perfect. A medium rare and full of flavor with just the right amount of blue cheese. The wings were tender and sauce was a perfect blend of garlic and heat. This is a great place to eat and a great start to our weekend.

Absolutely amazing little small spot to stop and eat with an amazing view! I ordered Blacked Mahi tacos caught fresh that morning. They were to die for! The staff was so warming and funny and honestly the best kind of small town love! The atmosphere was awesome so much to look at and eat you food on a pier over the water!

We had an awesome afternoon at The Tipsy Cow. The staff were real and relaxed. And didn’t put on a fake persona, which we really liked. It just felt like we were at a comfortable neighborhood bar with great bar food. We had the mild buffalo cauliflower wings, the Gold Finger bone in wings and the sliders. All were excellent. Best wings and burgers we’ve had in a long time. The couple next to us got the Cheeseburger in Paradise and raved about it as well.

The mixed drinks were beachy fun… we got the Sharknado and the drink with ginger beer (maybe it was called the Copper Pot).

Thanks for the relaxed atmosphere, laid back atmosphere without any pretentiousness, and bar food that hit the spot!!!!

Loved the atmosphere on the patio with our pups, watching the dolphins play. Enjoyed the fish sammie and the fish tacos. Our pups were stuffed with the chicken cooked just for them. The server was very attentive. Would certainly come back, but we got several other places to try during our little vacation.

Awesome place. Love the menu names such as buff the vampire burger that my wife had. The cheese sticks are amazing good. The burgers were great. No picks since we dug into the food. Awesome decorations and bathroom humor was top notch. Definitely will be coming again here

Went for the first time for fish tacos. They were great! I had some of the burger as well and it was delicious and seasoned well. Thanks to Joel our server. He was awesome.

This is a great place to eat on the water. It's elevated so you have a nice view from the outdoor porch. I ordered the Mahi tacos and they came out quickly from the kitchen. The fish was great and the toppings complimented it very well. I also tasted the chicken tenders and coleslaw, both were great and very fresh. The staff are friendly and overall it was a great experience.

OMG where do I start? Hands down the best burgers on the island! I just had the fish tacos and they were out of this world! The atmosphere has a really cool vibe to it and the view is breathtaking... The owners are very awesome people who are so down to earth that you would think they were customers!! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. It doesn't matter what you order on the menu you will not regret it!

The staff is so friendly and helpful. Food is great. The view from the deck goes forever. I had the meatball cupcake (the photo) and it had about a half pound of ground beef topped with mashed potatoes, bacon and cheese sprinkles. It's kind of like an individual shepherd's pie without the pastry crust. Highly recommended by me. My husband had the grouper tacos and was very happy with them. Topped off by their craft beer special. Yummm.

Update: June 18th, Father's Day I decided to get out of Gainesville and take my husband here and did not disappoint again. The views were amazing, and so was the food. What a relaxing day trip.

First time coming here, and we decided to give this a chance. I'm so glad we did!! The loaded fries were off the chain amazing. I got the Blackened Mahi Mahi fish sandwich, and it was perfect. I got a side of the zucchini fries, and sadly, they were overcooked and not very good at all. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich, and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. This will not be put last time here. There is so much more on the menu that we want to try.

My favorite eatery in Cedar Key. View extraordinary. Peaceful. Delicious food. Friendly staff. They welcome dogs. I got oysters from the local water. Fantastic. Lightly fried.

Not sure how this place can possibly get any negative reviews. We loved it and everybody was so kind! Obviously these people just don’t understand the atmosphere of this place or are simply complaining because they live miserable lives and have nothing better to do. Hands down the best mahi tacos I’ve ever eaten! My husband had the lord of the rings burger and he also said it was wonderful. Our server was super nice and very attentive to us making sure we always had anything we needed. If we come back to cedar key we will definitely be eating here again! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic Firedancer hot wings! These are not for the meek. Very tasty with a burn that you will remember, and return for! I've been to other places that make the claim of hottest wings. They are all mistaken!

Our waiter was the best tacos and sliders were delish right on the water too... We will be back

This place deserves more than 5 stars!! Great staff amazing view and incredible drinks and food. This place did not disappoint. Will be returning on our next vacation!!!!
