We were fortunate enough to bag an early lunch here after sitting on the waiting list for weeks, and so glad we got in today.

The food, service and overall experience was simply outstanding.

It certainly lives up to any hype and is totally justified.

If you are visiting the city and luckily enough to secure a table, you won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding team Torrisi…

Walked in on a rainy Saturday noon for 1 party. I was able to be seated in 10mins. The bread is soft and the prawn ravioli is delicious. Check came with complimentary lemon sorbet and some Italian dessert. Service at bar was welcomed and attentive. Would like come back with a bigger party to try more dishes.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Torrisi last night for dinner. From start to finish each dish was unique and super flavorful. Alyssa (manager) was super hospitable and welcoming from the moment we got there. She really set an elevated but relaxed vibe which my friends and I loved. Anthony (our server) was incredibly knowledgeable and warm. His recommendations and descriptions of the food were spot on and very much appreciated. For dessert he recommended the Frozen Yogurt, which seemed so unassuming (the menu didn’t have a description) and we would never have thought to order it. They make it fresh to order with liquid nitrogen in the back. The flavors included olive oil and a sweet Campari compote. It was incredible - one of our favorite bites of the meal and the perfect way to finish dinner. Everything was delicious, but our highlights were the Tortellini Pomodoro, Duck Alla Mulberry, and of course the Frozen Yogurt. Torrisi is super special.

First of all I was so happy to make a reservation and finally get to try to space. Heard so many good reviews about this place and people are raving about this place on Instagram. This place definitely was a thousand percent worth a try. We ordered four dishes, and everything was on spot. Their pasta that was amazing. The appetizer was so mouthwatering. I will definitely come back again. And the vibe is so good. It's so pretty inside and the server was so nice. Came with my mom when she was visiting New York. And she was so satisfied and happy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Everything was just perfect. Please don't forget the desert. Especially the affogato is amazing. Best ever.

One of the most incredible meals I’ve had in NYC. Not a single dish missed. For me, the highlights were the chicken,Jamaican beef Ragu, and most importantly the lamb.

As a meat lover, I’m generally not a fan of meat served in Italian restaurants but these guys really blew my socks off. The lamb might be the single best piece of meat I’ve had in years.

The whole night was a trip and I can’t to come back for another ride.

We arrived around 4:30pm to were able to get a seat at the bar around 5:10pm but there were already about a dozen people behind us at that time.

Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. They checked in on us often and were happy to answer questions about the menu. If you can get a seat it’s worth the hype.

Charred Clam boule was the highlight but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

What an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything was exceptional from the staff to the decor to the drinks. But make no mistake that the food stole the show. We started with a garlicky clam boule that we devoured, and the fluffiest zeppoles adorned with thinly cut prosciutto and a pineapplish & jammy mostarda. YUM. We got two pastas, the cavatelli ragu being the spicy standout. For our main dish we ate the dover sole francese that was airy, cooked to perfection, and topped with a fennel and white wine sauce that maaaaaaay just be my favorite entree of all time. We topped all of this off with an affogato. We were so full that we thought we’d only take a bite yet somehow we finished it all. 100 points, a millions stars, this place ROCKS!

Loved our meal here. Had lobster with angel hair pasta nice and spicy. Tortellini tasted like fluffy creamy pillows. Mushroom pasta so good and light.Crispy chicken very flavorful. We would order everything again. Very satisfying but not heavy feeling afterwards.

The sourdough sesame bread was one of the best breads we ever had. Wish they sold the bread!!!!!

Tasha was very cute thank you for the great service!!!!!❤❤

Spectacular experience from appetizer to dessert 🤩

The ham appetizer with pineapple dip (forgot the actual name) was so unique and was a great start to the meal! The cucumber New Yorkese was refreshing and memorable. I’d skip the mackerel, which was a special. The tortellini was creamy but well balanced by the fresh sauce. The Jamaican beef pasta was not everyone’s favorite but I personally loved it. I also enjoyed the prawn raviolini because the prawns portion was generous, and so fresh! The chicken Main was the star of the show and unexpectedly blew us away, it was my favorite of the dinner.

We ended with the chocolate and hazelnut napoleon and the affogato, both great and innovative flavors. The complimentary bites at the end were satisfying and left us very very full.

All these with drinks ended up being just over $100 per person, which considering the quality of this dinner, felt like a great value. Would love to come back again when we’re able to snatch a res :)

Just came here today with a friend and enjoyed a lovely lunch! Literally everything on the menu was amazing and would definitely come back here again to try more! We had the octopus appetizer that was so wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Also had the scalloped potatoes, zeppole with ham, tortellini pomodoro, and cavatelli with ragu. Everything had such unique flavors and some even a fusion - the cavatelli for one felt like the beef ragu had a jerk/curried flavor which was so good! To finish it all off, the almond cheesecake was divine! The atmosphere was great, music on point, and not too loud that you can't converse with your company. The service was excellent! The green apple sorbet at the end of the meal is delightful. Would love to come back!

We ordered a lot! Everything was perfect honestly. As everyone else says the tortellini was second to none. Exceptional and the service was also amazing. Drinks were great too. Prices were reasonable.

I usually refrain from writing a review after one visit, but this place was pretty solid. Booked bar room as dining room was fully booked, but the ambiance of bar room was better than I expected. We originally ordered two appetizers and two pastas, but our server said it won’t be enough for two that we ordered more but it was too much to finish. Everything we ordered was above average, but my personal favorites were tortellini pomodoro and cucumbers newyorkese!

The crown jewel of Major Food Group. Torrisi is a sophisticated brasserie-like take on NYC Italian cuisine. The menu hits deliver and the vibe is chic while also being fun. Get the prosciutto, tortellini and all the desserts.

I had super high expectations of Torrisi and I’m thrilled that they were exceeded! Everything I had was delicious and I understand why it's so hard to obtain a reservation.

I came with a friend and of what we ordered, our favorites were the Italian and American ham with Zeppole, Cucumbers New Yorkese, the Tortellini Pomodoro, and the Almond Cheesecake.

Truthfully, I didn't expect anything from the zeppole. When my friends told me that I definitely had to order them, I thought, "oh fried dough and meat, sure why not." The zeppole ended up being a highlight of the meal. The ham/prosciutto was so tender and the zeppole were warm, crispy yet moist, and a lot lighter than I expected.

I also didn't expect to like the Tortellini Pomodoro as much as I did. I didn't know how a classic dish could get any better but I was so wrong and pleasantly surprised. The pasta was extremely thin and was stuffed with a smooth and creamy filling and the Pomodoro was perfectly tart to offset the richness of the filling. I think it might be my new favorite pasta dish in NYC.

I’m not a fan of cheesecake so when my friend decided on the Almond Cheesecake for dessert I was a little disappointed. I remmeber us taking our first bite, looking at each other, and we both started smiling. I love that cheesecake. It was light and airy, and there was almond in so many different ways throughout. One of the best cheesecakes I’ve had.

We also had the cucumbers, which was another one of my favorites. The octopus was also good - it was crispy and succulent and I loved the Vietnamese flavors. The Jamaican Beef Ragu Cavatelli was unlike any pasta I’ve had. Each bite I tasted a different spice and I understood the reference. Will probably try another pasta next time.

The service was friendly and attentive. Our servers were happy to explain anything on the menu and gave us their recs and speaking to them made our night more fun. The restaurant itself is attractive and dimly lit; perfect for dates or special occasions. I loved all the puns on the menu! Also, they were playing 90s-00s hip hop and rnb so I felt right at home.

Overall, Torrisi is one of my new favorite restaurants in the city. I must have another zeppole, tortellini, and almond cheesecake asap.

Torrisi has been hyped up for quite a while and now I see why. I won’t lie, I arrived at 4:30pm on a Thursday to get a bar seat.
The kind gentleman that manages the door came out and told everyone how the line would work (reservations come in and then they’ll take the walk-ins). They did exactly that at 5pm and their whole team was lovely throughout the process.

Down to business, the food is as good as everyone says. I took the bartenders suggestion and started with the charred clam boule which was incredibly tasty.
For a main, I had to try the tortellini pomodoro. The pasta itself was stuff of pillowy goodness and the tomato sauce will make you close your eyes to savor the flavor.
Is it worth the wait? Absolutely, yes.

[update]
After the 2nd visit - realized the menu reflects much more Asian style of cooking. Not worth the price tag just to experience the Asian Italian fusion. Go here for their pasta dishes, nothing more or less.

What an experience. The food was excellent and the vibe was quite charming. Larger than it looks from outside yet feels intimate and cozy. Server knew what he was talking about. Id def go back. Reservation is very difficult to get to however you will have chances at a bar seating during the weekday if you show up early enough.

Best tip: must order the ham zepolle and the tortellini pomodoro!

We came back for a 2nd time Saturday night and was pretty good. Even the music was better.

The first time: Great vibe (although the music selection was sort of odd for me) - Feel we didn’t make the right choices for the food - we chose two of the specials - both crudo fishes - both were pretty underwhelming- the mackerel was way too thick for my taste for example. The hirmasa had 5 slices and so much olive oil that we could be barely taste the fish.

The lamb pasta was good and best part of the meal was probably the almond cheesecake.

Came here for a birthday lunch with a friend and had the most AMAZING time. The restaurant is beautiful and in the Puck building. There’s little nods to Beethoven everywhere from the back of the menu to the mosaic on the wall. The restaurants attention to detail was impressive.

From the start the service was impeccable. It has been the best service I’ve experienced in the last 2 years at a restaurant. The staff was funny, engaging and gave incredibly vivid descriptions on the food recommendations. We took our waiters recommendations for the pork belly sandwich, linguine in Manhattan clam sauce and their affogato. Everything we ate was out of this world!!!

Every bite we took of the pork belly sandwich we would be in awe of the flavor and the textures of the dish. The linguine was a mix of Manhattan clam chowder and clam sauce which was so creative. The affogato was delicious and served cold. It had ice cream and chocolate syrup, before being topped with shaved espresso. I need to go back and try other dishes on their menu.

i guess the best part is that we got our reservation from a friend who could not make it. food’s above average and the busy atmosphere feels nice. love their bread, and definitely try their pasta and chopped livers. the ham and zeppole’s great! the steak and tartare are not to my liking. Dessert’s a bit disappointing. the almond cheesecake looks gorgeous but tastes mid. avoid napoleon if u don’t like heavy desserts.

Completely worth the hype. Hard to decide what our favorite was. The clam boule was tender like a pillow. The pomodoro was heaven. The horseradish sauce on the porchetta was perfect. And the crispy chicken melted in our mouths. Go here even if it has to be 11pm on a Tuesday.
