KConway Physical Therapy

Kirk and his staff are great. I have been working with him for months for a back issue and sciatica. I am finally able to walk upright again. 😃 He is very patient and he makes sure you put the work in to get better. He truly cares and his staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Just finished my round of therapy for a shoulder injury. I've been to KConway for I believe 3 separate issues and have always received great care. My therapist Chris is always up beat and fun to work with. He explains things fully and always asks how theys went between visits. My tech this visit was Audrey, she was always cheerful and kept an eye on me to ensure I was doing my exercises properly. Very friendly. She's working towards being a therapist herself. Go Audrey, you have the drive and the personality to well.

KConway is simply awesome! From the very first phone call the receptionist Kim was the most Pleasant person I have ever spoken to at any Physicians office. She could not have been more compassionate, understanding and helpful through the entire setup process & scheduling. My therapist was Kirk and he was fabulous! Having just had a complete knee replacement mere days prior to my 1st session which was complicated further by my connective tissue disease, Kirk was extremely knowledgeable about what I was facing ahead. There was no "sugar coating" what was going to take place & as he worked with me he showed compassion, empathy and encouragement to push beyond what I thought was possible while respecting my limitations at the same time. When I had to work with another therapist, I found them to be just as professional & competent. Within a short time a bond of friendship & family is felt. When my time there was done, I was healed beyond my expectations. Put the time in to your recovery, do your at home PT as instructed, follow Kirk's directions & instructions & I promise you will leave a healthier person & have gained a friend or two along the way!

I would give 10 stars if I was able! Kirk took the most amazing care of my wife as she underwent knee replacement! Kirk is the best around! Kimberly is a complete delight to speak to on the phone and made the experience a pleasure as well! Highly recommend to everyone!

Phenomenal experience with KConway PT from the office staff, assistants, as well as Larry and Mr Conway. I went from a complete lack of trust of my knee after surgery to total confidence through a measured series of progressions that got me back to doing the activities I love without any setbacks. I went from difficulties in simple leg curls to very challenging fitness routines in 9 weeks as a direct result of their guidance and coaching. I’d highly recommend for any and all PT needs. The patience, professionalism, and caring were apparent at every visit. Thank you all.

Kirk Conway is the BEST! Don't get me wrong, he killed me with gentle, persistent therapeutic PAIN, massage, exercises, heat/ice etc but it worked! I've seen him multiple times for multiple injuries and he ALWAYS makes it better. Plantar fachitis- he broke it up. Surgery forTorn meniscus- he got me walking again. Herniated neck- he took care of that too. I worked in the school system with severely profound mentally challenged adult students for 16yrs. He is the only physical therapist I will see. Trust him and his office staff with my life.
His receptionist, Kimberly, is sweet, kind, and caring. A joy to talk to too.

Kimberly at the front desk is always so pleasant when I first walk in the office. I see Eric and Alyssa and they always treat you like a person and not just another patient. They engage in conversation and get to know you. Their care is too notch and I would recommended them to everyone I know.

Everyone at the front desk had been extremely helpful with any scheduling conflicts that have come and setting up all of my appointments. The PT exercise plan was fitted very well with my progression and helped me recover a lot better than I thought I would at this point in recovery!

I am a current patient of Dr. Kirk Conway. This has been my first experience with a Physical Therapist. I am a post surgical patient that had severed 2 tendons in my right dominate shoulder. I am currently 5 months post surgery. We have come a long way in my recovery but we still have a ways to go. For me the best part of my therapy have been the discussions that I have had with Dr. Kirk and his Accomplices. Those discussions take my mind off of the thing that they are doing to me. I might sound a little crazy, but I really enjoy my physical therapy sessions.

Over the years, I have needed Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for multiple orthopedic issues. For life’s breaks, strains, sprains, and surgical repairs of hips, shoulders, feet and knees, I have found K Conway PT to be top-notch. “Captain Kirk” and his staff are caring and dedicated professionals. To know how to motivate patients to work at healing and rehab is critical for PT professionals and their patients to be successful. Motivation is tricky, though. Inability to motivate patients to work can mean that the PT staff do not get patients to be vested in their healing and recovery. Equally difficult is overtaxing patients. Either approach can cause shutdowns. Kirk knows how hard to push, is superb at motivating people, and above all, is a very caring person. I am currently in recovery mode from a total knee replacement. While I am being challenged, I am not being over-faced with what is asked of me. Dr. Conway has a tremendous gift of knowing when to push and when to back off. I am very grateful for the progress I am making and for the guidance of Dr. Conway and his staff! I generally distrust medical professionals with a passion, but was recommended to Kirk by a friend with the same attitude. I was blown away by their skill, compassion, and humanity. Not a hint of the usual arrogance. Tellingly, everyone who works there seems happy to do their jobs and respectful of one another. Very glad to have Kirk Conway PT in y corner if I ever need help again.

K. Conway PT practice is phenomenal! I can’t imagine going anywhere else because everyone is so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Larry is patient with my teen daughter and they have great conversations during her therapies. We’d give them 10 stars if that was an option!

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Kirk and his team. We've been seeing them on and off over the last couple of years/since we took a second home on the Chesapeake. What a find! Not only is K Conway PT a top notch facility, Kirk is an incredibly talented PT, the team is super talented and accommodating and every team member/bar none is great to work with. We have both had terrific results with back and joint issues and cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Beats anything we've experienced in PT care in DC and other cities.

KConway Physical Therapy was very helpful to me. Everyone was very pleasant and addressed you as soon as you walked in the door. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially finding out I had heel spurs in both feet and arthritis in my left knee. I could barely wall down the stairs or I would have to turn to the side do it. Larry was phenomenal working with me. He provided his knowledge and expertise and within a month, I was walking down the stairs like I used to. Thank you to everyone who helped me in anyway. You guys are the best.

Kirk and all his staff are absolutely wonderful! Very professional. I've been here multiple times for various injuries, back, knee, ankle and shoulder and the physical therapy works everything!

Michael (assistant) could have broken my will at any point of the therapy, decided to take the high road and leave my dignity intact. DUNKIRK LOCATION. I cannot say enough how great Dr Richard and his team are at Dunkirk KConway PT. I had a ski injury and was preparing for surgery as advised immediately after I fell. I went in for 4 months at 3x a week and Dr Richard and his team were equally committed to my most optimal outcome. We were doing "pre-habilitaion" so my surgery and rehab would have the best possible outcome.
Well after 4 months I went to my surgeon to schedule the surgery. To my surgeons surprise I had healed so well (still don't have an ACL) that he advised me now not to have surgery despite his clear diagnosis previously that it would be required.
I couldn't have had this outcome without the amazing program that I was treated by at KConway. I am onward to a strength trainer and will be skiing again this winter. Thank you Dr Richard!!!
