Rod 'N' Reel Restaurant

This was an amazing seafood brunch spot, I got lunch. It was to celebrate Ms. Pattie (R.I.P. as of late April 💐) on April 23, 2023. She will be dearly missed. She loved the beach and seafood especially shrimp.

I got the Crab Imperial and the side orders of green beans and mashed potatoes. The side of bread was cool, interesting cheese spread though. I would go again especially if they had more sides and desserts. If the Crab Imperial was twice the size I'd order it to go! Overall, this was a memorable meal for an event to remember 💜.

Decided an adult timeout would be great for a few days so Rod N Reel Restaurant and Cafe was the choice for me. First, the convenient parking garage was the foundation of the trip ;). I pulled up to the entrance of the garage and the arms were raised with signs reading FREE parking. Impossible for 4th of July but totally free :) ! Stopped in the restaurant and was immediately greeted at the entrance by an upbeat delightful hostess who promptly escorted me to a nice booth with the perfect view of the Chesapeake Marina. The view consisted of beautiful sailboats, patrons utilizing jet skis, and cruises full of vacationers quietly floating in and out of the marina. As I was in awe of my spectacular view my waitress quietly approached; in such a calm and peaceful voice she introduced herself and offered her services. I then ordered my meal which consisted of the All-American breakfast with Biscuits and gravy (I was super hungry alright :) ). Each dish arrived within 20 minutes; fresh and really tasty. I continued dining for at least 30 minutes. I stayed at the resort for the night which opened an opportunity to enjoy an evening meal at the adjourning café which there I enjoyed Crabby Fries and 8-Fried Wings all whilst the Karaoke Show took place on stage in front view of my umbrella covered table. I must say; this 4th of July has been outstanding all due to my decision to visit Rod N Reel Resort ;).

Nice close getaway from the city. Everyone was nice and didn't feel like a visitor or tourist. Went to restaurant late so food options were limited. But the food I did get was tasty.

It’s cold right now but beautiful, the sunrise 🌅 was completely beautiful and amazing to watch from our bed, get the room with the jacuzzi and deck.... there are 3 restaurants, a spa, a gaming center and more.... it’s just a laid back environment, it’s serenity while I’m doing my finals for school

Literally the best cream of crab soup I have ever had! My family and I love the cream of crab so much that I order one quart sized container at a time.

Went for brunch, it was sooooo yummy and moderately priced. There were 16 of us and they were able to accommodate us with a reservation. Staff was friendly and super helpful. I like the upgrades they made to the property and especially the new parking garage which was really needed.

This was my first time going for breakfast. It wasn't that much on the breakfast menu to choose from, and that was disappointing. The waitress didn't follow my instructions on how I wanted my eggs so I didn't like them, and the bacon had a funny taste to it. I really didn't enjoy the breakfast.

The Restaurant inside is socially distant and the staff is wearing masks and food is always great. You can gamble as well and thay have the machines set up with plexiglass and 6ft apart and set up in a way your not in contact with others. Great job. Most shops were closed in the area and the Beach due to Covid. We went on a Wednesday. Not to many ppl.

This place was a surprise and a nice getaway spot. The food in the resteraunt was great.

The food was absolutely amazing, and wait staff, excellent.

The restaurant was demolished recently, and is being rebuilt. We ate at the adjoining outdoor Cafe. The menu us limited BUT, the steamed, and fried shrimp were really good, and the fries were like mama used to make!!! The cream of crab soup was too thick and lacked flavor and crab meat. But all in all,, we were well pleased. Service was great. I love going there.

I’m sure that everyone meets challenges since Coronavirus came to the United States. Let me share with you an amazing experience we have been enjoying. The Rod ‘N’ Reel Gaming and Bingo has an online live Bingo twice a week. The cost is: FREE! It’s just for fun while so many of us are not traveling or socializing. I’ve met so many new friends as a part of my new “bingo family”. The patient, funny, caring and amazing woman that takes hours to make sure we are having fun is Kelly Smith Page. I’m sure she just hides her wings because she’s an angel walking on Earth. She has players from Maryland; Washington, DC; Virginia; South Carolina; Florida and California. She gets to know each player and acknowledges each of them. It will be worth your time and effort to stop by and say hello. #LocalGuide #LetsGuide

Hadn't been to this restaurant for many years. It has grown and had more space under construction. They have turned the area into a resort with a hotel and spa.

Food was really good. Excellent service prices very reasonable.

Nice restaurant on the pier, great brunch bar and drinks, upstairs slot machines as well, bar also on the dock/pier

There's plenty parking in a newly built garage right out front of the restaurant. The restaurant is part of the Rod and Reel Resort with a Spa and Slot/ Bingo Casino. Valet parking is available. Reservations are advised but not required. That's how delicious the menu is. We had a satisfying glass of Apothic Red wine(9). Should have ordered the bottle(32). Served with warm bread and crackers with flavored butter and wine cheese. He and I shared the very fresh Chopped Spa Salad(12) with lumpy blue cheese dressing. I had the lightly hand battered Fried Shrimp with sauteed brussel sprouts and french fries dinner(21.5). He had Fish Tacos with coleslaw(12). My brother had the Crab Cake Sandwich(20). All plenty to eat. We didn't have room for dessert. Nice dessert menu. Very good potions. Our server was very friendly and was well knowledgeable of menu. Very attentive to us. She welcomed us back for the Valentine Weekend, informing us of the specials on the menu for that weekend. This is a nice weekend get away 30 minutes outside DC.

Stopped in to hang out with an old friend and we were glad we made the trip. The staff was extremely pleasant while at the bar, and our meals were very tasty. All in all, we had a good time in a very comfortable place.
