Traders Seafood Steak & Ale

A few days ago I went to the Trader Joe's in North Beach with my friends. We were immediately seated in one of the back corners of the place next to a giant TV and given menus. The service was great, and we were given our drinks while we decided what to get just like in any other restaurant. We were checked on constantly and when it finally came time, our food had come and it looked amazing. The only bad thing I could have pointed out was that the food took forever. When we got it, though, everything was delicious, and we all enjoyed our food. I would compare their food to the Neptune’s across the street, just with less seafood. It was all around a pretty average town restaurant. I now go to this all the time with my friends. It's a great place for meeting new people and having a good time. Even the music they play is good! I will definitely be coming back.

Generous portions, great service, calming atmosphere, would recommend & probably will return in next 6 months.

Although I’m a lifelong resident of Chesapeake Beach this was first time dining at Trader’s. My granddaughter & I went for lunch. I had fried fish & chips (tater tots), which was fresh, piping hot, crispy and delicious. There was an oyster aftertaste to the fish batter but since I love oysters I was fine with it. My granddaughter had chicken tender basket with fries & she enjoyed it. I tasted a chicken tender & it was moist, lightly breaded, fresh & hot. It was real breast cutlets not ultra processed chickenish’ tenders that some chain type places serve. She also ordered the fried chicken sandwich, took a bit out of it before eating anything else. She said it tasted funny after one bite. I told our waiter, he said he’d have to inform the manager. When I received our check the chicken sandwich was included. I told waiter I thought it would not be included on the bill. Manager arrived & informed me their policy is they would only adjust charges if there was something wrong with the dish not bc you didn’t like it. I told her that granddaughter said it tasted funny not that she didn’t like it. I mentioned that she liked the tenders & that everything else was great but I didn’t feel I should be charged for a sandwich that she only took one bite & could not eat any more, this was our first visit & didn’t know their policy (not that it would’ve changed the matter). Without any further discussions, no heated exchanges, the manager said she’d adjust the bill this one time. Not only was I satisfied with the outcome but it was an important lesson for my 13 yr old granddaughter. It showed her that you can freely express your dissatisfaction in any situation without being loud, disrespectful, hostile, rude &/or just plain ugly. I applaud everything about our dining experience, will most likely return & also will recommend Trader’s to others.

Excellent and delicious! A bit pricey but you're paying for quality food and the portions are filling!
The wings were "cooked to perfection" according to my husband and the prime rib he ordered made me a bit jealous that I didn't order it.
The Rockfish bites were tasty and the scallops were perfectly cooked - and you get quite a bit too! More than what I'm used to because I couldn't finish them! I didn't need the appetizer, the main portions were plenty.

Stopped in for breakfast every time I’m in the area. Had to take a phone call outside. Came in to discover my food was gone. They thought enough to put it up in the kitchen to keep it warm. You’ll never have service like that; made my month. Best breakfast in Calvert County. Thank you Trader’s for making my day.

It was valentine's Day went down for dinner. Service was good, food was excellent! Got the crab dip and it was so delicious just about filled us up. Ordered 2 half chicken meals, food was served promptly after we had time to enjoy out dip n drinks. My VALENTINE'S and I enjoyed our drinks and meal in bar area at a table. Bar seating is first come! There was only a 30min. wait for dining room.I have eatin in dining room and on the bar also and always received fast n pleasent service.

I ordered the Steak Burger and it was so delicious and big! Enough for 2 meals. Came with 2 sides. I added grilled onions too. Definitely one I’ll order again.

Our waitress was very nice & knowledgeable about the menu. My cousin and I sat outside, and received great service. The outside was covered and had nice fancy fans to keep you cool. The food was delicious! Great prices too. The only recommendation I have is that they do something to the blueberry lemonade cocktail. It was okay, but not great. Needed some blueberries and a splash of sprite. I’ll definitely be coming back to enjoy the updated menu and outside atmosphere.

Wow. Wow. Wow what a place …. Can’t say enough good for this place … the dinning room is clean… the service ( Amber) was / is phenomenal!!! The food. Wow is not enough … Paul had the broiled scallops in butter wine sauce and I had the queen cut prime rib !!! All perfectly cooked and hot to the table ! And since it was our anniversary they gifted us a cake. Wow’s allll the way the way around !!!!

Server (Amber W.) was outstanding and food was great. I had steak and shrimp; my wife had broiled fish. Had crab dip for an appetizer.

Got seated right away, food was great and fresh. Prices were not as bad as I thought they'd be the food was definitely worth it!

Great comfortable place for any meal. Regularly have breakfast and lunch here with family never had a bad meal! Local hangout with friendly bar and slot machines. Good prices and hot food in a nice atmosphere highly recommend.

Excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is somewhat dark, but, it has character. Best of all, they don't employ this new invoicing tech that tries to guilt you into tipping way more than usual. That alone will keep me coming back! 5-Start breakfast.

One of our top real estate team partners Martina Moutawakkil moved here a few years ago and I came into town to help her with an open house. Stopped at Traders for dinner and was blown away. My server was super sweet and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

We were driving through the area and needed a quick snack for the kids. The staff was great, with quick service. Plenty of open seating. There was a band playing on the patio, they were good and the volume wasn't overbearing. We only ordered some appetizers, but the food was quick and good. I would definitely go back, the menu options looked good

Absolutely amazing! Located near to the beach and has plenty of parking. Their breakfast menu is very cheap, they hosted us pretty well, and finally had a overall great experience.

Solid breakfast place! Came with a group of 6 (including 3 kids) on Sunday morning around 8:30 and were seated immediately. Breakfast food was all delicious and great portions. Service was excellent, with the waitress checking in multiple times and giving us updates on when our food would come out.

We were cracking up at the music selection at 9AM on a Sunday (think early 2000s "What's Your Fantasy" vibes) but didn't take away from the wonderful food and service.

Great place to stop for breakfast lunch or dinner. Bri was our server and she was awesome! Gave us great local tips and her service was great.food was excellent, portions huge and prices are very reasonable and inexpensive ! A must stop if you like good country breakfasts, great sandwiches and burgers. The surf and turf looks fabulous and priced excellent!

First of all the Cream of Crab soup (not pictured) was so delicious. And the Traders Ángels (also not pictured) were heavenly. Our main course of crab legs was amazing. You must experience this for yourself. We’re here from Texas , not disappointed.

Food was excellent! We had a burger, well done, and the blackened flounder stuffed with crab meat. The quality of the seafood was phenomenal.
The only thing is they’re understaffed right now so it took a while.
I’d go here again if I’m in the area.

Trader's surprised me with a recent remodel that works well for the place. I miss the fish tank though. We had mid morning breakfast and it was so delicious that both of us cleaned our plates. Although it was 10a, they had a rush of people that they handled quickly. They didn't let people wait too long.
