Rod 'N' Reel Resort

Took my mom here for the 3rd year in a row to celebrate her birthday because she requests it and loves it so much. We always reserve a junior suite, which has a fireplace, jacuzzi, and wrap around balcony that has a wonderful view of the Chesapeake Bay. The front desk staff is pleasant and professional. There's a casino, and an event location for functions such as weddings, including a mini amphitheater on the property. Over the years, we've witnessed growth and improvements. Currently, there is construction and a new section being built.

Oh! I haven't stayed in the hotel in a while. You use to give us free or reduced rooms but,, we haven't had any in a while. Would love to come back. My husband and I go to the gaming room a lot. Also the bar- b cue is good.

I went to the casino and was happy to see a large poster photograph of Gerald Donovan in the lobby near the elevator. I'm unsure why it was there but I was happy to see they haven't forgotten that hard working and generous man. I was gratified to find clean bathrooms and a friendly courteous staff. The cleaning staff were meticulous and joked with me.

I would like to thank the Housekeeping Manager I believe his name his Craig. He went above and beyond checking on me and my family. If we needed extra linen of wanted extra service. He gave us some awesome recommendations on places to eat and recommended CBQ Mac and meat which was delicious.

Such amazing staff and beautiful property, We will be back for some personal times.

Lot of walking as they are under construction. The staff couldn't be any nicer and the hotel is nice. They need nite handicapped parking when the construction is done. Yes there spaces inside the garage but that a long easy to walk and the casino users are using all the spaces close to the entrance walkway.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, room was spotless, and the parking was easy. I left my toiletry bag at the hotel and the manager and front desk staff couldn’t have been more helpful! They were able to track down the bag and ship it to me.

Definitely worth a stay!

I love this place. This is my favorite place to stay. Always beautiful they are remodeling and it will be amazing when they are finished. Food is amazing and fun to stay here

Love this place, but I wasn't explained the charges of the room. Prices are way cheaper online than on calling the facility. I was charged 100.00 per night over the online price. I questioned my bill when i received it, and the lady explained everything to me. I told her that it wasn't explained that way or I would have stayed with my original booking online that was way cheaper. I sent them an email, and I'm waiting for a response and a refund. Other than that, excellent stay.

Anita, at the front desk, was wonderful. She went above and beyond for me, making sure I was taken care of. Friendly and patient (at 6:30am) with me and with other guests, who were checking out, etc.

The Rod n Reel hotel is presently going under reconstruction in between their casino and hotel, so there was a bit of a walk to get the luggage carts.
We got a beautiful room on the fourth floor to overlook the Bay and view the spectacular sunrise in the morning.
I think you can see the Bay from all the rooms in the hotel.
Also, the casino is a lot of fun and they have a very good restaurant.
Also, on the same street, there is a strip mall with liquor store, grocery store, a Mcdonald's, and a Subway.
Charter boat fishing is also very popular here.
The big water park is crazy and fun for kids.
We like going to restaurants in North Beach for dinner and live music

We were there for the Casino. It's a neat little Casino. We had dinner at the BBQ place in the Casino. It was Delicous.

Nice quaint area with a friendly staff. Enjoyed the entertainment and views. Very charming. Certainly reminded me of the book and show, Chesapeake Shores

Honestly, one of the more comfortable beds I have slept in. I’m a tempur-pedic guy, and I woke up happy and ready for the breakfast taco they have available downstairs. 🤤

Our server was Jordan. She was amazing. I definitely recommend her and Rod ‘N’ Reel. I went to the casino first then to the restaurant. I ordered fish and chips. They rival an Irish pub. My friend got the Mariners platter I believe it was called. It came with all sorts of seafood. She truly enjoyed it. Oh and the crab dip with the mini pretzel stick were so good. The strawberry Lemondrop martini was also on point. I loved everything. Will go there again and highly recommend.

Last night was the first time I've ever been and heard of Rod 'N' Reel Resort and I'm in love with this place right here

Had an amazing time aboard the Miss Lizzy head boat!! The crew was amazing and very helpful!! Will be fishing with them again!! If I could give more stars I would.

DJ Ennis. Somehow knew exactly what I needed to hear, and took me on a journey. I was having a rough night, and somehow it was like he took me to a place I felt musically understood. I was planning on just eating my meal (which was INCREDIBLE) and leaving, but he just swooped in and it was like a second wind. I trusted the atmosphere he created with his playlist and ended up feeling like a whole new person. I went into the Chesapeake Room and after a few hours ended up $900 ahead. I just felt the vibe he was putting out. What an experience. I'll go wherever DJ Ennis is from here on out. Even canceled my reservations at competing resorts and just want to be at the ROD N' REEL CHESAPEAKE BEACH!!

I've never stayed there, but I played on their stage on Thursday, June 29th, 2023. It's a nice location right on the Chesapeake Bay. It feels like Emerald Isle, North Carolina. I forgot I was in Maryland.

The crab cake was not as good as it usually be. The rest of the food was delicious, which was a Reuben sandwich, fried shrimp w/fries. Played slots but did not win. Overall I enjoyed myself.
