Dar Al Hijrah Islamic Center

I really enjoyed this prominent mosque in northern Virginia. Came for jummah and boy I loved it. I know it’s been around for a very long time. The facility might not look like all that extravagant but it’s the quality of the people in the building that make it. This is a grand example of a mosque that makes me proud to be a Muslim. Can’t wait to come back here. Parking was easy, and it was snowing.

I’ve been going here since I was 7 years old, from attending Islamic classes here when I was young to going here for prayer to this day. Great people that run this mosque and one of the most popular mosques as well in the area

They have 3 separate prayers for Jummah!

Wow what an amazing masjid MashaAllah. Whenever I’m in Arlington, I visit this masjid. The staffs are friendly, khutbas and recitations are great. After jummah there are foods and others goodies available. Highly recommended.

Great staff, amazing options for muslim community and they are always working hard to come up with new ways to share muslim views and values to everyone

Assalamualaikum Darul hijra is gud center for buying cheap items sometimes few items are brand new not used one
I bought almost 10 hijab and sandles those are new n m berry happy to get them in very cheap price

This is one of the best spots to pray for Muslims. Parking is a little bit of challenge on Friday prayers

This is not my home masjid, or near my home, but I come here whenever I am near the city sometimes just to pray here. People over here are very good people and this place is run by some exceptional people. This place provides all types of services including financial aid for needy families. I am glad to be part of this community.

This is the most wonderful place for having peace of heart and soul. Once you enter this place you feel such a relax that you never have the one in the our life.

I have a really real attachment with this mosque. Since moving to the US, it was the first Islamic location I had visited. Going there makes me feel more grateful. There was terrible traffic there, especially during Jumma prayer, therefore Fairfax County installed traffic lights there. The police are controlling the traffic and the people during Friday prayers to ensure their safety. I also liked how crossing the street is now safer and better organized.

We had lunch at Bawadi and were running late for Salah, so we went to Dar Al Hijra Islamic Center after the regular Salah time. It was a blessing to find a nearby place for Wudu and Salah. It is spacious and has separate floors for males and females, both well maintained.

Since the inception of Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in 1983 CE / 1403 AH. The needs of the Muslim Community and that of its interfaith neighbors have been paralleled by, and reflected in, Dar Al-Hijrah’s growth. For approximately eight years a house, which remains to this day on the premises, served as the original masjid. Located along Route 7 in Falls Church, VA, the site of the masjid was chosen due to its accessibility and close proximity to the major suburban regions that constitute the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Dar Al-Hijrah has a strong community from which to establish itself with approximately 40,000 Muslims residing in the area that the center serves. Construction of the current facility began in 1986. Despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles, the facility was opened on March 2, 1991 / Sha`ban 15, 1411. Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Virginia with a federal tax I.D. number 31-1256417.Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center has been affiliated with the Muslim American Society (MAS) since 1999. The Muslim American Society is a religious, educational, cultural, charitable, and social grass roots organization. It is a pioneer in its embodiment of principles and thinking of an Islamic reform movement that uplifts the individual, family, and society.

amazing atmosphere for kids to learn Arabic and Quran

Great Islamic center love to come and pray there Hamdallah they welcome me there.

This is northern Virginia mosque. They do everything and it's very clean great place for the kids. I hope it remains open 100 more years

Great place for namaz. On Friday there are three pray times for Juma. Need to count your time to get a parking space inside of masjid. If you park outside you definitely get a ticket.

Sheikh was awesome, Quality english Speaker, very spirtual lectures.
