Hertz Car Rental - Kansas City International Airport

A phenomenal experience on a recent business trip. Some airport rental locations offer a ridiculously bad selection in the Presidents Circle. This location I was able to walk right out and select a brand new GMC Denali. No issues whatsoever and the young guy who seems to always be at the return line is so energetic and helpful. Will continue to rent from this location.

Polite staff, quick check in and out. Car smelled funky so they gave me some Gold member points which was thoughtful. Car was great, looked like back tires were a little low on tread. But great vehicle I had a Ford Edge. Hands free wireless Apple Car Play was a nice feature for navigation.

THOMAS. IS. A. ROCKSTAR! Appropriate action would be a salute, a complimentary six-pack of some cold ones, and a truly commensurate pay raise. He made our check in a breeze for our Tesla. People like him made visiting a foreign land so damn enjoyable after a long day of travel—we all need a smiling and kind friend to see for help, and his service was just that, indeed. Cheers to you Hertz, and thank you for the experience so I could travel safely to my brother’s wedding!

Service above and beyond.
My flight was delayed and didn't get into the car rental facility until 1am. The other counters were closed, but an employee I didn't get the name of helped make a reservation with Hertz at 2am. Charisa worked some magic to get me out before 3am.
Julia also did amazing at correcting a billing issue with my rental and on my way.

Shoutout to Thomas! He provided excellent assistance today. Grateful for your polite support. It made me feel valued as a customer by Hertz! He too cool for school with a will do attitude ! Thanks again .

Great location, easy to rent from and great selection of cars. I suggest you join the Hertz Gold club prior to renting and watch how great you get treated. Hertz is definitely my go to car rental company and this location is the best I’ve found so far.

Always treat me like a friend they have known forever!! It starts with Kelly and trickles down to everyone else. Hertz is the only one I use while on the road working!!

I was floored by the personal service. I was greeted with a big smile and excellent customer care. They provided me with a vehicle that will accommodate both personal and professional meetings. It was exactly what I needed. Kudos to management as well. He took the time to meet me and accept an acknowledgement for one of his stupendous employees. Excellent team work at this location. I'm now a Gold Member!

This was probably the best customer service I’ve ever received….EVER!
Wayne and Jeanine were super sweet. I was tired, nervous and worried about how everything was going to turn out on my trip and they completely eased those feelings. They were so funny and polite. They hooked me up with an upgrade. Wayne even walked me to my car and put my heavy suitcase in the trunk. Thank you so much! I will continue to choose hertz! Thank you Wayne and Jeanine!

Amazing customer service by Cameron today!!!!! He was very polite and professional even when we forgot to fill up with gas before returning. He kindly gave us our options and when we returned with the full tank he continued to impress us with his professionalism and kindness. Then he blew us away when we were on the shuttle to the airport. He raced up and saw us and he was holding my husbands phone in his hand! WOW - for him to see the phone so quickly and act so quickly to run to shuttle to get it to us is simply unbelievable and unexpected and amazing customer service!!!!!

Great selection of very clean cars! Very easy to go directly to the car of my choice and check out. Smooth return.

A wee late on this review but wanted to give credit where it’s due. Super kudos to Ashley at Hertz in Kansas City! My staff and I were in town for work and rented a car from Hertz. We were roaming the lot trying to find where the midsize cars were and Ashley comes over immediately and guided us where to go. After choosing our car (was upgraded since they didn’t have midsizes left - so awesome), we noticed the light for air pressure on the tires was on. Ashley comes to save the day by offering us a Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it! She even runs over to it to claim it for us so no one else grabs it while we unloaded our luggage. What incredible customer service and attentiveness. Ashley is a breathe of fresh air, especially after a long flight. On our return we were met with the manager of Hertz. While we were about to unload our luggage, he tells us to hop back in and he’ll give us a lift to the airport (versus taking the shuttle bus). Wow, another example of how they are going above and beyond for their customers. Thank you Ashley and the manager!!! Please continue being awesome!!! Hertz is the way to go for car rentals in Kansas City!

Superior service and great value. Easiest pickup by far with no waiting in line. Go to your zone, select the vehicle you want from a large range, and drive away.

When returning the car rental, it may be helpful to have additional visible signage, indicating where to go for returning the vehicle. If you use Google maps, you are lead to the restricted parking area where not so friendly personnel simply direct you to exit the area without understanding you’re simply trying to locate where to return the rental vehicle.

100% had the best experience at Hertz. Thomas made our morning when we had to book a last minute car rental. He went above and beyond from his friendly smile and nice personality. He made our experience. When someone is just nice it and loves their job it makes a difference.

Let me start by saying that the service of this place is OUTSTANDING!!! Very quick service, friendly staff, clean environment. Alvin Moody helped me right away when I wasn't satisfied with the first vehicle choice lol ( I'm a bit on the picky side when it comes to my ride). They had many selections to choose from. Cars were clean and up to date on the inside. My overall fav place to rent from in KC.

The team that was there this evening was amazing. We had a mix up with our reservation and they were patient and got us into our as soon as possible! One of the team members was even running in the rain to get the cars for all of the customers!!❤ Great Customer Service

Hertz has a customer for life. My mom and I came to Kansas to visit my son. On the way to the airport mom realized she forgot her phone putting us waaayyy behind. After dropping mom off at the gate I went to return the car with only 30 minutes to spare. I asked the young man at Hertz what was the quickest way to the shuttle. Before I could get to the door Cameron runs up behind me offering to drive me to the terminal. This made my entire day! Thanks to Cameron and his team mate for providing amazing customer service.

I rent cars a lot for work and can’t believe what a great experience I had with Hertz at KC Airport. The staff at the counter were so friendly, we got chatting and one of the women went out and turned my car on to get the air conditioning running because it was such a hot day.

When I dropped the car back, one of the staff noticed I was on my own and had a lot of bags so he helped me get to the terminal. Seriously blown away by how kind, friendly and helpful the staff were.
