Its quaint interior lends you to a cozy eatery of bbq fantasticness! After several visits the meats can be defined as: tender, juicy, full of flavor. Sometimes in bbq you find a dry portion, so far that has not yet happened and not sure how they ensure each batch or the various meats stays moist through and through, but they have! Friendly staff, great chocolate chip cookies, and delicious sides! In the great KC BBQ battles, Scott’s is running in front!

This is one of those reviews that I don't want to be honest with because I feel like I am letting everyone know about a secret. I'm always hesitant because I'm afraid that once everyone finds out it will be super busy. But....because I am so appreciative of all the yelp reviews I read that lead me to these "secret places" I want to help others find awesome places too!
This place is super close to the airport and is VERY convenient if you are flying in or out of the airport. It also is worth your time even if you aren't flying.

The MENU consists of breakfast items (served up until 11 am), sandwiches, tacos, salads sides and plate combinations. They also have a deal that for $50 for 2 people you can get a sample of ALL sides and ALL meats. I was tempted to share this with my SIL but we both were leaning towards the tacos, which came recommended by other reviewers. You order up at the counter and they bring out the food to you when it's ready.

ORDERING time! I wanted to try the brisket and the burnt end tacos so I ordered 2 brisket tacos and 1 burnt end taco and by ordering each separately it was more $ than if I ordered 3 of the same tacos. So....we decided that I was going to order 3 brisket tacos (3 to a plate-better deal than ordering each taco separately) and my SIL was going to order 3 burnt end tacos and we would share. It was a perfect way to get the best bang for our buck and provide us with both kinds of tacos.
The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor SEATING. We were lucky to have gone on a beautifully sunny day and so we ate outside. The food was delivered within 5 minutes of ordering and the service was great! So many people came by our table making sure we were doing good and asking if we needed anything. Everyone was so friendly. Kudos to you all for that!

The FOOD was absolutely delicious! Both the meats were tender and so very flavorful. The burst end tacos had cotija cheese and salsa on it and had a great flavor that didn't over power the meat. The brisket was a bit spicier and had the jalapeño slaw and a hot sauce on top. I love spicy food so I really enjoyed it. I think that perhaps for those on the border of not liking spicy food it might be a bit spicy but it's so hard to say. They both were so good that I honestly couldn't say which one was my favorite. I would order them both again in a heartbeat! However, I think next time I go (and you better believe I will be back!) I think I will order the sampler deal and go back at dinner and after I land so that any leftovers I might have, I could bring back with me.

I read an article that listed this place as one of the top ten BBQ spots in Kansas City. So we were eager to give it a try. It is a fast food type of place, but do not let that stop you they had some of the best ribs I have ever had, and the cheesey potatoes were good too. I will definitely come back when I can
This is a sweet and smokey style BBQ they also have a spicy sauce option

If there’s anyone who gave this less than five stars they didn’t go here.
First off, I’m from Texas and have had my share of barbecue.
I ordered the two meat plate with ribs and slice brisket. Came with two sides. I chose the jalapeños Cole slaw and baked beans. The ribs might be the best I’ve ever had. Seasoned great fell off the bone. The brisket was very good but I’ve had better. Still worth getting just not the best I’ve had. The baked beans were off the chart good! Now the jalapeños cole slaw was delicious as well. Just beware to those who don’t like cilantro. It has a good amount. I for one love cilantro but I know there’s those that think it taste like soap. I feel bad for you lol but I’m letting you know.
The service was fantastic. I saw Scott I’m assuming the owner talking to some people asking how their meal was. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him. Maybe next time.
Anyway, a must try if your anywhere close!

Some of the best BBQ in KC and so convenient to the airport! The burnt ends are incredible, and the baked beans and cheesy potatoes were so yummy. Can’t wait to try their breakfast and burritos/tacos.

This is a GREAT stop to/from the airport! It's close, you'll feel nice and full, you can leave your luggage in the car instead of bringing it with you to eat (unlike the restaurants IN the airport).
And if you don't have to sit down and eat if you're in a hurry; a lot of people come in and order their meal to-go.

LOVE their food, too! It's the best place to take a friend that's visiting Kansas City because of the BBQ - the burnt ends here are VERY savory!
I also love the soft tacos, sausage gravy and biscuits, chicken wings/legs (these are pretty good size and full of meat on the bones!), and the Avacado Bowl I tried today was spicy was delicious!

And the employees are always so helpful and nice!
They're always quick to bring is extra things we need (like lots of napkins for my kids) before we even ask!

Absolutely delicious!! Everything from the burnt ends to the cheesey potatoes, and even the baked beans. The sweetest sweet tea I've ever had. All the meats were cooked perfectly and their spicy bbq sauce is to die for. I wish I had taken a picture of the tacos, but they were gone too fast.

My first visit. I didnt know it was BBQ until I was in line. Glad i went. The staff walked me through the menu and helped me pick. They were SUPER busy and I still got my food fast. The menu is huge. I think I could go there everyday for a month and find something new. I had three different BBQ tacos: chorizo, brisket and chicken. Really good. Spicey, but not too much, and full of flavor. The paperback cheese added even more kick. I'll go back for sure.

A lot of options for all foodies. The brisket beef burrito was simply amazing, phenomenal. The service at the counter as well as our server (Trisha) provided excellent friendly customer service. I woke up thinking about the burrito.

This was excellent little place to eat. I don’t know what they are known for, but we ordered the smoked sausage tacos and pork burrito and they were both great. Price was about what you’d expect for decent BBQ. Burrito was about same size as a chipotle burrito. Both had the ghost pepper cheese and though it was spicy my eyes weren’t watering.

Wow!! This restaurant is outstanding…From the amazing staff and the cleanliness of the place. Heck the customers were nice and happy…I love the variety of the foods bc it’s not just BBQ….It was my first time, and I originally came because of the article I read that featured my college friend Veronica. It was a very long drive but I tell you,..The food was absolutely delicious!!! Wow!!! I’m very impressed..My favorite side was the baked beans…They are perfect…I mean I loved all the food I got…..Although we live far I kid you not…I’m going to find a way back for more food….Yummy!!! This was a great experience…Thank you!!!!

The food was delicious. Everything has a ton of flavor and the meat is nice and tender. The food came out quickly. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and checked in multiple times. I loved this place.

A very nice hole-in-the-wall BBQ restaurant. They make you feel at home. Some of the best Burnt Ends I have had in a long time.

This was our first time in Kansas City, MO & we were eager to try some BBQ from KC. Thankfully someone recommended this awesome BBQ place just a few minutes away from the KC Airport. There are so many options to choose from & you won't be disappointed with any of your choices because they're all delicious. We ordered the 1-2 PASSENGER which includes a taste of each of their smoked meats & all four of their sides for only $50 & was more than enough for 2 people. We also had a very warm welcoming from the staff & the owner, Scott as he came out to talk to us. He was very personable & shared things for us to do in KC while we were here. It's a great casual atmosphere & great quality food, so if you're ever in KC, don't miss out on some great BBQ & stop by this place!😋

I'm going to grade this hard because it was so good. 10 being the best you can find anywhere, 1 being awful don't go here. I had the St Louis Ribs with the Ghost Sausage and sides of bbq beans and coleslaw. Ribs get an 8.7/10. FANTASTIC, fall off the bone, plenty of meat, flavor out of this world. Sausage was just spicy enough to hurt, but have you going back for more, so we'll see if I regret eating the whole thing later. 8.5/10. BBQ beans, wonderful side, great flavor, perfect amount of meat mixed in, 7.8/10. Coleslaw was very average. Not bad but not special, I think it needs more flavor to the sauce. 5.9/10. Overall fantastic, I'm planning on trying some of the breakfast tomorrow morning, very excited to do so. Side note, building was very clean looking and professional.

**update** The brisket breakfast burrito is amazing. The portion of brisket makes $11.50 very fair pricing. 8.5/10.

Best Chili in town!
I worked close to Scott’s kitchen and came over 1-2 times per week. Every food was super yummy, staff is friendly and it’s always nice to come back.

Dropped my wife off at the airport, then stopped in at Scott's Kitchen for lunch. Cool place, super-friendly and helpful staff. Expected great top-tier KC barbecue, and that's exactly what I got. Unfortunately, they were out of ribs but gave me extra brisket to make up for it. Everything on my 1-2 Passenger Platter was good, but favorite meat was the sausage, and favorite side was slaw. Now I'm looking forward to the leftovers!

When traveling to Kansas city airport, I have tried to stop at this restaurant to try their bbq. I tried pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket, and smoke white fish tacos. They are very good.

This place is a DREAM COME TRUE! I’m going to say it’s the TOP 3 BBQ I’ve ever eaten. Just getting out of the car in the parking lot you know you are entering those Smokey Gates of Awesomeness. I ordered the pork chili as an appetizer and followed that with the most incredible burnt ends I’ve eaten in a very long time and some of the thickest cut and dark bark slices of brisket ever. I will literally drive the 3.5 hours one way again very soon during the week to experience this at least once a month.

Just visiting and took a chance on this small unassuming place. DELICIOUS! Ribs and pulled pork are incredibly tender. Beans and cheesy potatoes are really flavorful.
