Very nice updated airport. Security was a breeze, even on a Saturday morning flight. I like the new scanners where you don't have to take anything out of your carry-on bags. The restrooms are really nice and probably have the biggest stalls I've ever seen. Plenty of room to get in with my carry-on and my backpack and still turn around. I liked the green lights above each stall to let you know which ones were occupied. Lots of restaurants and shops, and everyone was very friendly.

This is my first visit to Kansas city and I was welcomed with an incredible piece of art airport. The design is modern and out of curiosity, I asked when the airport was commissioned. It's a new airport and it's fresh. Be mindful of all gender restroom although it has its privacy. I look forward to using this airport again.

Kansas City International Airport is a remarkable facility for air travel. It is a massive improvement compared to the old facilities, with far more seating, more amenities, a new lounge, and a brighter space. Plus, you can get far better reception than at the old facilities.

Also, found out that they are going to demolish the old terminals asap. Guess we are losing a vital part of KC Aviation history.

Love the new airport in Kansas City! Beautiful and spacious and easy to find your gate. Love that the bathroom stall doors swing out. Only airport I have ever been to that figured out how effective this is. The pic is for the Super bowl champions!

I flew out of the KCI airport to Denver in July 2023 on rainy afternoon, and it was beyond a pleasant experience! I was beyond impressed by the new airport.

Only thing that wasn’t exactly nice was the LONG LINE TO SECURITY. No, there weren’t 15 billion people in the line. That wasn’t the problem. The pathway itself leading up to the security was SO LONG. There was almost nobody there, even at noon on a Tuesday, and we walked for probably 5 minutes before we actually got to the security. Little bit of overestimating, don’t you think?

Other than that, I love the new airport! I was very impressed by the security, the sensory room, and the children’s area! The baggage claim on return was also nice. Overall, good job, KC!

This airport has certainly undergone a remarkable transformation! I've been using MCI for 25 years, with a break in between, and it's impressive to see the recent improvements. If you haven't been to MCI recently, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

It remains a compact airport, now housed in a single, modern, and impressive building with terminals A and B. While there's only one Delta lounge, MCI boasts a diverse range of Kansas City restaurants and bars. From counter service eateries to wine bars, BBQ joints, and sit-down restaurants, you have a great selection.

The airport also provides convenient workspaces with numerous plug-in and USB charging stations throughout. The new MCI airport not only pleases the eye but also operates with remarkable efficiency.

Again, it's a significant upgrade from the old Kansas City Airport. The bright, spacious design and ample seating make it welcoming. You'll find a variety of options for purchasing locally made items, drinks, and meals. However, there is room for improvement in the signage for navigation, and some restroom facilities faced minor issues, like missing toilet paper and malfunctioning occupancy indicators. Nevertheless, overall, it's a positive experience at the new airport and a vast improvement over the old one!

First time traveling through Kansas City MCI airport since the terminal renovations are complete. Great upgrade. Good selection of eating spots. Not quite sure about the multi-sex restrooms since most people don't allow someone other than themselves in their own home restroom.

The New Terminal is amazing featuring all the amenities you have come to expect from a thriving functioning city. There were no short cuts taken. Absolutely beautiful space with lots of options for shopping and food during your flights and layovers. During your next flight please take some extra time, arrive early, you’ll want to check it out.

Really amazing transformation from the old structure 🎉 Was very easy navigation but took much longer than the old terminals. Love the local choice for food 😋 salvaging the mosaic tiles and reinstalling them 🫶 also mimicking parts of the city brilliant! The art is amazing 👏 well done.

As someone who was born and raised in Kansas City, this airport is a 100% upgrade from the former airport for the 21st century. As a passenger, the ease of entering the facility, checking-in, and moving through security were seamless. The terminal itself is spectacular with plenty of bathrooms, cafes, and local restaurants. Kudos, Kansas City!

Overall great experience, very well maintained and managed airport. Best part was the facilities available at the airport, availability of family toilet facility was a big relief. All of the toilets were well maintained and cleaned frequently. Also the best part was the availability of quiet room which was amazingly surprising. We used the prayer room as a family for our prayers. Highly recommended.

Love the new terminal compared to the old one.
The old one was quick and easy to get in and out of but had nothing in the way of amenities.
This new terminal is massive and is honestly overkill for a city this size. However it's still extremely quick and easy to navigate through even though it's much bigger than the old airport terminal.
I love the architecture and the sculptures and artwork everywhere. The fountain in the middle of the main rotunda is awesome and is my favorite piece of artwork in the whole airport.
The new airport has tons of amenities, lots of restaurants and more than enough bathrooms.
Although the restaurants are mostly barbecue places.
And one of the coolest things is all the jet bridges are glass which is awesome for aviation enthusiasts like me.

This is such a pretty airport! Great food options, gift shops, and places to get work done. The design leads to a nice flow of traffic. It is clean and beautiful inside! TSA was quick and polite. This is one of my top favorite airports.

Love this airport, the new Terminal is amazing. I love that they incorporated so much of the history of the old airport and the city in to the building and available places to shop. If I have any complaints they are that security can be slow, and traffic can be bad. Two things that never happened in the old terminal. Either way, great airport 8 trips in and out of MCI, it’s pretty, has food, supports local business, and my only complaints are regular airport complaints. 5 Stars.

Just dropped our sister off to head to Brazil. We met a very kind lady named Brenda at the American terminal and she was very helpful and kind to point out that we could get a cart to help with the nearly 20 bags that my family was taking. We were able to park at the departure doors with a full size bus and no one gave us a problem. We were very thankful for that.

This is a very nice airport. It's clean, the size is adequate, there is all kinds of food and shopping. The baggage claim area is easy to get to. The signage is clear and easy to understand. There are traffic controllers so getting to the shuttles or ride share areas are safe.

Loved their bathrooms. I have an infant and these baby changing tables were so nice and clean.

I had been at sfo and Denver, they weren’t that great. SFO had me changing my son next to the sink where everyone could see his “business” while washing their hands. Denver had a weird pushed down square changing table built into their counter so it was very hard ( my poor baby’s head). Not to mention the Denver one was at the literal entrance of the bathroom so everyone could see as soon as they walk in.

KCI was great. They had a clean and nice family bathroom near the baggage check in area. Once through tsa, the changing tables still were quality. Best airport so far to change a baby.

The newly renovated KC airport terminal is fantastic! Getting through baggage and TSA has been fast. With PreCheck, we're usually at the gate within 20-30 minutes of arriving.

The parking garage attached to the terminal has lot-vacancy signs at the entrance to each level and colored lights on the ceiling to identify available spots down each aisle.

Terminal food options seem decent. We usually just get coffee and snacks for the flight.

The terminal also has a few play areas for kids near the gates, which is great when you need to occupy time prior to your flight.

Very clean, pretty easy to navigate, fun, lots of shops and restaurants. Bathroom has a light system that lets you know if a stall is occupied or free to use. As you walk through the terminal you see lots of things that are true to Kansas City style. Like the BBQ, centerpiece lights resembles a fountain spraying and along the walking path from the terminals to baggage claim are you will find information telling about Kansas City and it's history. There are chairs/benches with charging ports so you can relax while waiting for your flight. I love all the updates and upgrades they've made to the airport

Amazing new airport. I love the bathrooms because of the indicator lights above the stalls so you know which ones are available for use. It is well lit with comfortable seats near the gates. I was very impressed by the design and construction. They did a superb job! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
