Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Winston Salem

Within the past 8 months this place has done a complete turn around. It is safer, cleaner, and the staff is wonderful. The rooms have been redone and are beautiful. You should definitely give it a try! The Manager Mary has tremendously improved the quality of the hotel! *****FIVE STARS*****

Staff is amazing. The GM Mary is so nice. Sharika was also helpful. The housekeepers are doing they very best from what I seen to make sure rooms are detailed clean. Every since June I’ve seen a tremendous changed and the hotel. Under new renovations and I’m eager to see what the new rooms will look like. Keep up the great work Microtel.

It's just the nicest room for the money... The room layout is different than most and more efficient if you ask me. Also like the color scheme of the room. Breakfast could be better but they do try.

I stayed here and I thought the staff and especially Mary was awesome! I had a very nice quiet room... The room was nice and clean... I would recommend Microtel to anyone.. I give Mary 5 * plus!!!

Every employee we interacted with, (front desk, maintenance, housekeeping) was wonderful. They are all so very polite and nice. They were very quick to fix and issue we did have which wasn't much. A family emergency brought me and my sisters up here and the people here made it a little easier by being kind and great at their jobs! Would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely love this place, big room, very helpful staff. Variety of yummy breakfast foods! My door got stuck but the sent someone to fix it! The bathroom light didn't work, they asked if I wanted to change rooms but I liked the room so much I stayed. Definitely will stay again

I am currently staying here for 5 days during hurricane Florence and the staff on every shift has been exceptional. I have even had great room service from the cleaning crew (Sequoia) and crew . The front desk on every shift was very professional including the GM, and Asst. GM which took very good care of my family during this time. I will forever be grateful and will stay again if I am ever in this area again.

The rooms are nice 👍. The mirrored wall makes the room appear bigger and the beds are comfy including the bedding. I hate scratchy hotel 🏩 comforters. I love that they have smoking 🚬 rooms on a different floor coz I dislike effecting people and kids 🧒 with my secondhand smoke 🚭. The guest policy is loose, too which isn't a hassle for my guest(s). Unfortunately, I have to leave because the furniture market drove up the prices astronomically. So back to second-rate rooms for the week.

I got this small but beautiful room.. smells good, with good ventilation.. with good amount of sunlight. The place is descent with reasonable price. People from the receptionist are hospitable. Hallways are clean,, no bad odor... This place is relaxing. I found a place where i can go back from time to time without spending too much.

We had to book a quick business stay for 2 nights and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was very clean and cool which was wonderful as it was 90° outside.
Jeraka at the front desk helped me look at the map on my phone and find great dining in the city.

Romethia maintained the breakfast area and was so kind and friendly! If any item was out I watched her quickly replace it and she had nice words for everyone as they enjoyed their fresh waffles. She helped several guests work the waffle irons and with a huge smile. She is a wonderful face to see first thing in the morning!

Both mornings the manger came to the breakfast area and talked to the guests, I have NEVER seen this at any other hotel. I can't even think of a time that I met a manager during any other hotel stay.

I have stayed here a few times and while it is not the best hotel I have ever stayed at, it is always clean, the staff are always friendly and the rooms comfy. They recently changed management and it has been for the best, they are remodeling and while it is slow going, it is going. Don't expect the Ritz when you aren't paying for the Ritz, but this place is worth it. And if something is wrong with the room, talk to the desk and they will work to fix it.

This Hotel was very clean smelling and equally pleasant to stay at, we actually enjoyed our entire stay, and I considered all the staff I came in contact with very friendly as well as knowledgeable and always offering help without hesitation,
In fact I really only have one negative thing to say or rather how bout a suggestion for the future instead? Located right outside the front doors of what I believe was the front of the Hotel there was a large wooden scaffle type rack with what looked like some supplies that was being used for the Hotel's current restoration they're working on but this was a rather large rack of supplies or whatever and at the very least it was definitely an eye sour but the worst was having to manuver around the LG item just to get in or out of the Hotel and at one point I almost fell as I almost tripped on some landscaping stones to keep from bumping into the LG. Block of supplies...
But I would like everyone to know that although this is a rather very inconvenient item located right in the way I feel like I can say it is just as obvious that it is just a temporary situation and during our stay I actually thought of the reason why it would be located where it is and my thoughts after looking at this item closer is maybe one of the workers put it there to keep it from getting ruined should it happen to rain ....
But all in all this is a great place for any kind of stay so hey don't let the block of supplies at the front door bother you in the least it didn't bother me I only mentioned it for a future reference of suggestions

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at this Microtel for the first time recently. After making my reservation on-line, check-in and check-out only took about 1 minute each, The staff was friendly and I had no problems. The breakfast was basically cereal, waffles, and bagels, but that was plenty for me.
The Cable TV and Wi-Fi were also just basic, but totally adequate for a short stay.
The room was smaller than everage, but very clean and well organized, so it didn't cause a problem..
This is not a refurbished older motel, It's relatively new. It's perfect for a business traveler or anyone who wants a nice place that doesn't cost a lot.

I recommend this hotel to everyone i know. The rooms were clean & stocked. The staff were extremely helpful, especially since i needed an early ckin and a late ckout. They were friendly & courteous, no matter what i needed they made sure to accommodate everything. I ended up staying longer than i expected, staff really went out of their way to help. I hv stayed here before and i can say....these folks hv stepped their game up...SHOUT OUT TO ALL STAFF & MANAGEMENT!!

Nice, very basic room. Clean, good layout. Courteous staff, efficient check-in. Overhead light in in-room made a faint buzzing sound when on, and clock radio on night stand flashed continually. Both easily remedied. Overall, a very pleasant night for a reasonable price, will return if in the area.

We planned on staying 2 nights because a relative was in the hospital near there. We paid for both nights in advance. Our relative passed away and we didn't need to stay there any longer. They gave us there condolences and refunded us the night we didn't use. Very nice people.

Nice young man at the check in desk... very helpful when we had a room problem Nice cheap place to stay in Winston!! Very pleased!

Decent rooms, well lit parking lot, coffee in the lobby. Not fancy, but good. No problems encountered.

Great Experience, rooms were clean, neat, professional. The staff were all professional. Larico the front attendant made sure our stay was the best. The customer service is A1. Will definitely be back

i would like to say front desk is awesome especially the managers and the young lady name bree. the maintenance guy mr. mills is wonderful i had a problem with getting into my room and he came and help. the ladys at front desk are very helpful especially with people that have special needs. the hotel is nice and quiet. i had no problems with my stay. i was very satisfied with my room and the service. convient to stores and shopping. very close to doctors office and hospital.
