Hilton Garden Inn Winston-Salem/Hanes Mall

I recently had a fantastic stay at Hilton Garden Inn Winston-Salem Hanes Mall. Noah at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and professional. Bob, the bartender, exuded a joyful attitude and served delicious lemon drop martinis. Hilary, the breakfast server, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about nearby attractions. Special thanks to Dorothy from housekeeping for keeping my room fresh and clean. Overall, it's a great place to stay with a wonderful staff.

My sister and I travel a lot, and I always try to stay at a Hilton property. After our experience here, this hotel is now on the top of our list in WS. Ellen and Barbara were absolutely lovely hosts this morning at breakfast, and Dee is an AMAZING cook. I don't eat that well at home! Nick was super sweet and helpful at check-in, even as late as it was when we arrived. The room was spotless, and the bathtub was a perfect respite after a very long trip. 10 out of 10.

This is our 2nd stay at this location. I was not impressed on our 1st stay. That being said, the hotel has gotten a complete makeover and is great! Our room (king) was clean and extremely comfortable with new carpets, furnishings and bathroom. The nice thing about this location is that it is away from any interstate highways and way off of the nearest road. We did not hear ANY traffic at all. The hotel is clean, especially downstairs and the bar area looks nice (didn't visit). Thank you for a great stay!

I’m not one to usually place reviews. Though out of the many, and I mean many, hotels I’ve stayed at; this hotel, especially its staff, make it worth a review. The staff is incredibly friendly, as well as personable. My experience interacting with the staff is always amazing and I always end up leaving the lobby with a smile and my day made.

The food here is excellent, rather than going out to eat, or having food delivered; I’d much prefer to eat here. There is a nice selection of menu options all priced reasonably for the quality of food.

The room itself is like your standard hotel room, and the cleanliness was above par beyond many other hotels. One down side of the room I’ve ran into worth mentioning would be the humidity.

Regarding location, there are plenty of other food options around, as well as shopping.

*At the time of writing they are going through some renovations. Though even then, I hardly noticed that there were renovations taking place.*

Friendly staff great stay. Location is next to the mall and there is plenty of food options nearby. Would definitely stay again .

I stayed here for a business trip during the week of July 31st, 2023. They were doing renovations on the 4th floor. In spite of actively renovating, it did not impact my stay in any negative way. They performed the construction mid morning until the evening.

I stayed on the fifth floor in their newly renovated rooms (they started the renovation from the top and worked their way down). It was a wonderful room with plenty of USB charging ports, a desk area, drawers and hangers for my clothes, etc.

The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. I really cannot find anything negative to say about my stay. I would recommend the Hilton at Winston-Salem

Went for a wedding. Was very expensive due to 2 college home comings the same night. When planning your wedding please consider this. It isn't very good for your guests. Never have ever spent that much on a room, and I travel a lot.

Excellent hotel! Close proximity to local attractions. Clean, comfortable rooms and common areas. Amazing service at the front desk and bar/restaurant! Couldn’t be happier that we stopped to stay here during our cross country road trip. The walking trail was amazing for tiring out our dogs and toddler.

The absolute worst Customer Service that I’ve experienced at any Hilton Gardens Hotel. No smile, greeting or good day wishes. Hotel staff was not engaging or nice to Customers. Staff appeared to not care about the service to its customers. Not good!!!

Very nice hotel. Super clean rooms, great water pressure, comfy beds, decent breakfast and bar, functional gym (def NOT “state of the art”), and super friendly staff. Very pleased.

Great place to stay. The location is great, the staff is friendly and kept the rooms super clean, there is a bar/grill with good food, and pets are allowed. So thankful that pets are allowed! Dear other travelers with pets… be considerate and pick-up after your pet. Few hotels allow pets and leaving a mess behind certainly doesn’t encourage other hotels to consider allowing pets. Please pick-up!

Been staying in alot the last month with my dad in hospital. Absolutely love everything about this place. First of all the staff is Absolutely fantastic. They always remember and always ask about my dad. They go above and beyond. The rooms are super clean and quiet. It's near the mall and plenty of restaurants. I would highly recommend this place. What a wonderful experience! Staff was super friendly. Room was spacious and clean. And my daughter LOVED the pool! The manager (Griffin) was super helpful as well. This will not be our only stay. Thank you again for making my daughter's birthday special!!!

We booked our room quickly after a hasty checkout from the Microtel down the street. From the moment we walked through the door I was assured that we made the right choice. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and the facility was spotless. Every single employee we met during our stay was friendly and helpful. The room was exactly what we needed with enough space for a queen blow up mattress. We ran out to buy swimsuits to take advantage of the indoor pool (twice!) and ate dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Breakfast was great - it was only $6.95 for adults and we each got an omelet filled with bacon, cheese, and more; grits or potatoes; bacon; and a blueberry muffin. I was very impressed with this hotel in regards to cleanliness, comfort, amenities, location, and customer service. Great job!

Be careful of your charges. We were charged a fee for smiling and we do not smoke. They said they checked the room that afternoon and the room smells like smoke and they found a cup with swisher in it. We checked out before 11am and did leave the patch for the room to be open so as far as I'm concerned anyone could've went in there. I didn't learn of the charge until 3 days later. No one called me of the concerns and when I called to dispute the manager on duty did they have to go by the pictures and how the room smells that he gets claims all the time. Wow.! So no pictures of us smoking. WE HAVE a shih tzu service dog and his Lil lungs cannot handle smoke anyway. Great hotel but check your charges!

Great location - at end of street so it’s quiet, but walking distance to restaurants.

King rooms can offer relaxing whirlpool tub in living area - so nice!
Clean rooms and amenities.
Nice indoor pool, jacuzzi, and gym on first floor.
Great breakfast buffet as well as a made to order breakfast option.
Would recommend staying here if someone was in the area!

UPDATE: I’ve now stayed here for over 30 days total. You can’t beat the price and the service. And most importantly, they have the best omelettes in town, hands down! Rooms are always spotless too!

Great staff. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the breakfast & kitchen staff were amazing, for such a picky eater. They went over and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Winston-Salem.

Nice staff, was greeted immediately with smiles from both front desk associates. Love the room and absolutely love the cozy look and feeling of the lobby. I sat on the couch and enjoyed a delicious slice of cheese cake that I got from the restaurant along with some coffee. This is actually the first time that a hotel has given off such a cozy feeling that I stayed there instead of my room.

Very pleasant stay. Before i booked i was a little concerned about the mall location as I thought it might be noisy/ in a busy area. But it is tucked away in a quiet corner adjacent to woods. New hotel in a Clean, quiet, safe, good accessible location with nice rooms and common areas. The pool was a decent size and there is a hot tub.
