Red Wing - Winston Salem, NC

I have purchased Red Wing shoes in the past. It helps if you know whether they are for work or casual, a contemporary build or Heritage. I purchased a pair of Weekender chukkas last week. The in-store experience is typical of a franchise store - excellent! What put this over the top is a call to the store on how to care for them. Dustin helped me; I told him I was confused as I have seen so many ways to protect them. He asked what look and what color boot I was after as the product used makes a difference - mink oil vs. leather cream. He got my dialed in and I know what I need to purchase. Personally, I prefer the rich copper look.

Dustin and Leaf were very helpful even though we didn’t know what we were doing. We got fitted and got advice on how to properly wear, fit and take care of our new boots. In addition we love our new boots and will surely be back for more. If you have a doubt as to weather or not you should visit this Red Wing location, just get in your car and go there. You will not be sorry.

Some of the best customer service I have ever received! Went in looking for a pair of boots for my new job after a week of 10 hour shifts on my feet in a factory, but ended up feeling like I was in a spa or 5 star hotel instead. I got to relax in a plush leather chair shooting the breeze while the perfect boot was found for me. (and sock.. and insole....)

Absolutely perfect fit! I might even go as far as to question if I have ever had a perfect fit of any shoe I might have previously owned in my entire life up until this point...

He even helped custom fit my wife's boots that she had purchased at a different Red Wing store. I'll be going to this location for future purchases from now on. No more "boot truck"' boots or buying random pairs off a rack at other stores. Absolutely thrilled with the boots and the service!

Dustin is very knowledgeable about the products he sells and doesn't push you on anything you don't need. Customer service is done right around here. He spent a bit of time with me addressing my needs and making sure I was taken care of. Well worth the hour and a half drive I did to reach this place. I'd like to come back soon but I know I won't have to due to how long redwing boots last

I was amazed at the accuracy of the fit, as well as how quickly it took. The store associates were terrific, very knowledgeable and friendly. Made it much more easy to part with my hard earned money.

From the time I walked in I was treated very well. The salesman took his time and made sure I got the right boot.

Great experience! Have worn Redwing most of my adult life; very good shoes and worth the money. I purchased a pair and had to take them back because they were hurting my feet. The manager returned them and fitted me with a different pair: the new pair, I love and wear daily at work. The fitting of insoles is also one of the best decisions I've made since I work in a harsh environment. I would recommend the shoes and this store!

Always a pleasure buying boots here, whether it was the owner Richard before he retired, or the store manager Dustin. Both are very knowledgeable and helpful through the buying process. They sell a quality product, and are not at all pushy when it comes to selling their product. I have been buying my boots here for 12 years and even after moving away from the area, I have driven as much as 90 miles just to buy my boots from this location. Their individualized attention to each customer is second to no other shoe service. They are highly recommended for the next time anyone is boot shopping.

I can not put in to words how satisfied I am with this place. I had a wonderful chat with the man on duty. He informed me on alot about my feet, the boots and what insert to have in them. His knowledge far surpassed his outstanding customer service. Which in itself was also outstanding. I believe I am now a life long goer to this store. They are moving though. I support that call 100%. The boots I bought were 1000x better then the previous pair I bought the day before. I hope the best for this business and I will continue to give it my support when I need a new pair of boots. Seriously, this business is amazing. Happy shopping my friends! =)

I honestly didn't know that anyone still provided a customer service experience like this anymore. The store manager was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the Red Wing line of boots, inserts, and socks. He took the time to throughly explain which boot would be best for me in my line of work, and also custom fit them to my feet. After trying them on I left with my new Red Wing boots on my feet and can honestly say these are the best fitting boots I have ever owned. Not just that but you can tell they are a quality product that will last. You can feel the quality in the leather compared to many other boots I have owned and can see that they are made to last. While these boots may have been a little more expensive than what I normally would buy they are 100% worth it. I would rather pay a little more for something that will last rather than buy boots somewhere else for $150-$200, and have them fall apart within 5-6 months or less. I've rode past this Red Wing store in Winston Salem for years, but I'm glad I finally stopped in because I won't buy boots anywhere else.

Dustin assisted me today while looking for a good work boot, he was extremely friendly and professional while walking me through the fitting process and was able to answer all my questions and help find the perfect boot for me. I will definitely be a returning customer in a couple years!

I wasn't planning on buying any boots when I went in, but Dustin got me into a pair of boots with some inserts and man, they were perfect.
I've worn them every day for 2 weeks now and they're awesome.

I stopped in to inquire about a boot repair and was greeted by the most pleasant man. They had some really nice boots and he recommended for me to check out their women's collection online to find something similar to what I was wearing. I didn't purchase anything today but I'm pretty sure he'll be seeing me again in the near future.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you to the owner for helping me out tremendously. I bought a very expensive pair of Red Wing boots. After a year the foot pad started to wear out. I thought it was because my shoe was not fitting correctly. I came back in the store and they were very attentive and put me on two measurement devices to make sure I had the right fit. I showed them the foot pad and he informed me that they need to be replaced. He showed me other foot pads that would correct my Arch. I simply could not afford to purchase them due to financial situations that I'm currently in. I told him that I would just try to repair the ones that I have. This man got up and walked away without saying anything. I started to put my shoes back on and when he returned he handed me a pair of foot pads. I don't know where he got them from but they look new and my foot could not feel better. The people at this store have heart and I highly recommend Red Wing of Winston-Salem. Thank you very much!!!

Quick, professional service. Husband needed new safety toe work boots and heard about Red Wing. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes, including having his feet professionally measured. Very grateful to find a trustworthy shoe store for my husband's work boots!
