Chris did a wonderful job for us! He started by repairing a fragile antique heirloom ring (right) that other jewelers told us was not repairable. He restored the ring so that it can be displayed and passed down to other generations.

Then Chris created a contemporary interpretation of the ring (left) that can be worn every day. He consulted with us at every step in the process and created a one-of-a-kind ring that will be an heirloom in its own right. His artistry and craftsmanship are outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

I just had my ring bent back into shape after it was damaged: the diamond was bent over after snagging on something. Beautifully repaired and very reasonably priced. Chris was very easy to work with, and my ring was repaired the same day. I am very pleased with the results.

Chris is amazing. I met him in the process of visiting most of the local jewelers looking for someone to resize my grandmother's engagement ring for me. He was friendly and professional, and kindly talked me through options for resizing while offering his recommendation on what would be most long lasting. Once I decided to have him do the work he was incredibly quick!!

My partner and I, then asked him to also make her engagement ring. We had a pretty small budget and throughout the process he remained a wonderful communicator. He reserved his opinion when it was a matter of preferences and aesthetics so that she could decide what she liked, but was quick to give us more information when a decision would impact durability or our budget.

As a queer couple, there is often a question as you begin to interact with a new person of how they may respond to you and your partner. I never felt a moment of discomfort with Chris. In fact, it's really hard to put into words how wonderful it felt to work with him. He's incredibly kind, warm, and considerate. I am so grateful that we got to work with him, and especially that he was part of creating this important symbol for my partner and I.

I've known Chris and his dad Terry since about 1995. His dad made a ring for me after cancer took the love of my life, and over the years it has changed with the changes in my life. Some good, some not so much. The constant was the ring. Like everything they create, it is a unique piece. NO one will ever have one even close. It is mine, and .... it is me.

After 31 years, the setting of our engagement ring was no longer viable. I had already begun making inquiries with area artists, when one of them recommended Chris Van Dyke. I will always be grateful for that recommendation. The combination wedding band/engagement ring Chris made for us is exactly what I had hoped for. The ring is stunning. It fits perfectly with the most wonderful combination of weight and balance. It was hard to contemplate leaving our diamond with a stranger. However, the moment you meet Chris, you realize you're in the company of a truly fine person. Use him. Trust him. He's the best.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this amazing artist. I found Chris through a Google search for jewelry repair. I went in thinking I would only have a diamond repaired in my engagement ring and have my bands resized... I came out with a custom rework of my engagement ring that just honestly blows my mind with how beautiful it is. I hadn't worn my engagement ring for close to 2 years; with what Chris was able to do with it, I will never take it off!

We headed to Van Dyke Jewelry at the recommendation of friends of ours who had had a ring custom made by Chris. I chose a unique piece as an engagement ring and Chris was able to size it before we left town for the day. The piece is unlike anything you'd find anywhere else. The value and quality are great and I've lost count of the number of compliments on the ring!

Nearly two years later, my fiance and I returned for custom wedding bands. My fiance opted for a custom band with a sapphire inlay. The design process was straightforward and enjoyable. We discussed various options, were offered different price points, and walked out feeling confident that Chris had our best interests in mind. I am very happy with my experience with Christopher Van Dyke! He helped to reinvigorate two heirloom rings that were gifted to me. He immediately responded to my questions on email, invited me in for a consultation, helped me to think of ideas on how to change up the rings, and then did beautiful work. I cherish the jewelry he created - one ring made into a modern and sparkly ring, and one ring made into a beautiful pendant that I can wear close to my heart. I loved working with Chris on creating a beautiful wedding band to match my engagement ring (also made by Chris). He is very kind and easy to work with, sending digital renderings by email during the design process. He went above and beyond to create a unique ring that I love, while ensuring the design was sturdy and would last forever.

I was referred to Chris by a downtown jewelry shop. I was a bit concerned because I was gifted a beautiful Diamond ring and had no idea of it’s value. I had a necklace to be made into a bracelet and a beloved pearl bracelet which needed to be restrung. Chris spent the time with me to really educate me about what he could do, what could go wrong when sizing the ring, etc. I got my jewels back today and they are PERFECT!!! The price was HALF of what I expected to pay. In conclusion, best jeweler I’ve ever met! Thank you, Chris, for an AMAZING experience!!!

A year ago I commissioned Van Dyke Jewelers to make a wedding band to match my engagement ring and I couldn't be more pleased! Chris went to great lengths to make the ring a perfect replica of the engagement band, which was no easy feat. Chris was incredibly kind and helpful. His final work also proves him to be an expert jeweler. The whole project was completed in a timely fashion, and I was kept up-to-date every step of the way. The price was also reasonable.
